Hi Krzysztof, We really appreciate your review and rating. Unfortunately I can't agree with the statement regarding being for 'total amateurs' (especially as we have a high standard club that swims with us regularly). We do however recognise that our water runs a little warmer than some pools. As a leisure pool that functions for all (amateurs included), we keep the water at a set point to benefit younger children, families and serious swimmers. Many thanks The Aqua Centre Team

Hello Jason, I know you quite well and I have taken the time to email a full reply so I will respond here fairly briefly; As you know, this industry is boom and bust; there are times when staff are exceptionally busy and other times when things quieten down a lot. Regardless I am sorry that you found staff 'moody' and felt they were chatting and doing nothing. Please do let me know dates and times and any staff names by reply to my email and I will investigate. As mentioned in previous comments we are awaiting repairs on our showers as they do run a little cold at times currently. While this is no excuse we have been waiting on external contractors for these repairs for multiple months at this point. I disagree with your comments on cleanliness, our instructors clean the equipment and all customers are asked to wipe down equipment after it is used. We also are not struggling for members, our member base is currently at it's very highest and we are looking at steps to maintain exercise space at peak-times as we have been very busy. Hi Stephanie, I am sorry to hear of your recent experience and would be delighted to chat it through with you with an eye to fixing some of your issues; [email protected] (on auto reply for one week). I will note here that the timetable online is correct and in my opinion it is no more complicated than any other swimming pool. We are busy during holidays and weekends and this leads to us requiring a strict timetable, much in the same way as a Cinema or any other place of leisure. The showers are working (though a little cold). Contractors have been contacted 5-6 weeks ago and we are still awaiting the necessary repairs. Those who require a hot shower are best to phone ahead to check on; (01460)77665 hopefully this will be a short term issue. We reassure you Stephanie and all our valuable customers that this is not the standard of service that we aim to deliver and should your visit fall below the standard you expect we would like to here from you so we can take steps to make amends. We actually run more general swimming than we do lane swimming and our sessions are relatively balanced to allow as many people to enjoy a swim as possible. Please note that other users do enjoy lane swimming which is why we have it on our timetable. Hi, We are very sorry for your poor experience and I agree that the staff member receiving the phone call has created a bit of a problem there. This is not how our staff are trained to deal with this enquiry; The usual answer is; "You currently need to book in advance for sessions between 9am and 5pm and weekends". The timetables are available on our website and do show all the session start times regardless of the requirement to book in advance. In about 2 weeks the booking system will be further relaxed and bookings will become recommended on weekends and unnecessary at other times. We will ensure that further training is given to all staff on dealing with these type of phone enquiries. By way of compensation for your wasted journey and poor service, I would be happy to organise a free family swim for you, I am confident that I can organise a slot without any of the drama you have currently experienced.
