Fantastic experience: Recently joined, honestly was a great experience from the start thanks to Andrew who gave me a tour of the facilities. I was contemplating other gyms but Andrew walked me through all the options and benefits of joining that the process felt seamless. He's a credit to the business. Also loved that they had new padel courts which is perfect. Loads of parking as well which is ideal.

Fantastic experience: We’re on a trial membership and really enjoying it so far. Viv the badminton coach is great and so friendly. The club is very clean and nicely set out with lots of variety. The pool was out of commission for a few days due to damage to a mains water supply (not David Lloyd’s fault) and we were disappointed that we wouldn’t get to use it during our trial. A member of the sales team, Jordan, was really friendly and generously extended our membership for a few days so we could try all the facilities :) Hopefully we’ll be joining soon!

Fantastic experience: I met Reeta for our first session last week and I was so impressed with the coaching she offers alongside her personal training. It really is the full package! Reeta really takes the time to understand your goals and where you are on your fitness journey. She has great empathy and passion for what she does. I am really looking forward to our next session!

Fantastic experience: Synergy and Strength & Conditionuing are extremely good as taken by Barbara Blancardi who is brilliant! We need another class on a Monday or Tuesday as Wednesday and Friday are full!

Negative experience: Unfortunately David Lloyd Poole failed to cancel my membership- despite me giving notice in writing and having my cancellation confirmed in writing. Instead they applied a 2 month win back offer (without authorisation or telling me they've done so) and rolled me into a new contract with them. I have since been charged £852 of which I am yet to receive a refund for. I arranged a telephone call via reception, put it in my diary and never received a call. It is a shame as I thoroughly enjoyed using the facilities and would've considered staying if this matter was dealt with quickly, efficiently and with compassion. I have been given 1 guest pass as compensation for this negligence. I strongly believe that if roles were reversed and I hadn't been paying my membership fee or breached the contract David Lloyd would've been quick to flag this up and pursue legal action. I will add that the Pool is nice, albeit a little run down. The gym is a nice area also. The club is very busy but some of the staff are fantastic, some not so! Just a shame they have left me feeling particularly miffed as I would’ve stayed if they’d treated me like a valued customer.

He took the time to understand my fitness goals and tailored the tour accordingly, making it both informative and engaging. Fantastic experience: My wife and I meet Andrew for a gym tour and introduction unsure whether we would commit to joining or not. Andrew was very engaging and informative and gave us an excellent insight into everything the centre has to offer. He was able to answer all of our questions with confidence and tailored his Introduction to suit our personal needs. We found his tour and introduction extremely useful and decided to join immediately. Andrew gave us great recommendations as to which personal trainer to sign up with and was helpful with the signing up process. Thanks for everything Andrew, we look forward to getting started :).

Fantastic experience: I've had a few great PT sessions with Emma, she was insightful and has a great ability to tailor workouts to my fitness level and goal, keeping me motivated and challenged. I feel more confident in my fitness journey now and I highly recommend Emma to anyone looking to achieve their fitness goals!

Negative experience: I'll be staying close by here for about ten weeks from the beginning of December, as a regular gym user I thought a three month membership here might be just what I needed. Then I tried to read the terms and conditions of membership which seem to be designed to be obscure, confusing and there to trick you into a much longer duration. It would seem your three months only starts on the first of the month following you joining and then it runs for three months but unless you give exactly the right amount of notice on the right day of the month, then you are locked in for twelve months. As I would want to join about 3 December, I would be locked in at least until the end of March 2025 if I'm lucky and maybe until early 2026 when I would need to give three months notice to leave. They are not for real. That's no use whatever to me, I'm delighted for David Lloyd that they can get away with running such a scam operation but they won't be scamming me any time soon or indeed ever. They must have forgotten that people have a choice and I'll certainly be exercising mine, there's plenty of competition out there.

Fantastic experience: If you are looking for a Personal Trainer at Poole David Lloyd, I would highly recommend Barbara Blancardi. She is highly experienced in her field, empathetic, enthusiastic and has a delightful , positive personality. She encourages you to be the best version of yourself. She also delivers some brilliantly enjoyable group classes at the club which are challenging and leave us all on a high afterwards. Thank you Barbara for making my visits to the club so special. Fantastic experience: Just finished my 3rd PT session with Jennie Wilson. She is a great instructor and I was so lucky to have her as my personal trainer. I wasn’t a massive fan of gym before but with Jennie’s help and excellent instructions, I gain confidence in going there, as well as enjoying being there (without thinking that I’m wasting my time). Jennie is also very friendly person and time was flying during our sessions! I can highly recommend Jennie to anyone looking for a professional PT.

Negative experience: The staff and facilities are commendable, but the building requires substantial investment and investment in maintenance. Recently, there have been instances of inadequate shower facilities, and the pools have been reported to be excessively cold. The showers are currently freezing cold. No way of properly washing your hands and they are serving food!? The hot tub tiles are extremely hazardous, as they have detached. The dry sauna bench flips in half if an individual attempts to reach a higher bench. The gym and classes are of high quality, but the overall building maintenance significantly impacts its overall quality. £125 club fee is hard to justify.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined the club and all the staff are very friendly and it has a really nice feeling to it. The gym is modern and the outdoor pool is fantastic. I was very nervous as I have not been to a gym in about 10 years and become unfit and just didn’t know where to start. I signed up with Jennie as my PT, who has really inspired me and given me the motivation. Provided support on the equipment and even offered to do a class with me - so I’m not as nervous. So friendly and got a good rapport with her. Looking forward to my fitness journey ahead.

Fantastic experience: Great instruction, support and encouragement from the yoga, stretch and mobility and Pilates team, Barbara, Jenny, Lauren and Luki, my back rehabilitation is progressing swiftly and I am so very grateful to the team.

We were looked after by a Lauren and she was wonderful. Fantastic experience: Been a member for a couple of years now, and it still feels as fresh as when we first joined. The timetable is always varied, keeping workouts interesting, food choices are healthy and delicious and the outdoor pool in the summer is a cute vibe. The instructors bring so much energy (Lesley, Ricky and Rebecca we are HUGE fans) to every class, making each session motivating and fun. Highly recommend ✌

Fantastic experience: Big thumbs up and massive thank you to the fabulous Ethan. Someone had parked ridiculously close to my car and I couldn't get in it. Ethan very kindly climbed in through the passenger side and pulled my car forward so I could get in I'd have to have waited for the car owner to come back if it wasn't for Ethan, and such a happy friendly chap he was too.

I was given a tour of the club by Byron and Ethan who were very welcoming and answered all my questions very attentively. both of them showed great enthusiasm and were keen to make sure I had no uncertainties about joining. A great customer service that is unmatched by any gym I’ve been to.

Positive experience: I love the idea and have joined for the racket sports but at the cost being paid I’m a bit disappointed. You can’t borrow rackets unless in a class for new sports like paddle. Only one guest pass a month is very low and they don’t rollover. It’s not as clean as I’d expect at this price, broken and empty shampoo dispenser in shower today. The gym has less equipment than much cheaper gyms and having issues changing settings when using the cardio machines as the touch screens are temperamental, one of the tread mill belts was slipping when running on it. I just expected better. If it wasn’t for the desire to play racket sports again and the lifestyle aspect I wouldn’t stay a member, they could do better in my opinion for the price they charge.

Fantastic experience: I recently met a friend for a coffee and I just wanted to share the brilliant service I received. I had a lovely lady called Lauren serve me, she was very friendly and although it was a busy rush, she still served each of us with a smile and took the time to ask how our days were, not to mention the spectacular coffee she made! Overall I had a lovely experience and would definitely recommend and will be back again!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of David Lloyd Poole for many year's and always enjoying going to the club. When I visited last Tuesday I was greeted by Lauren on reception. Whilst everyone makes a point of saying hello when you go in and leave, Lauren went above and beyond. Asking how I was and what I had planned, genuinely taking an interest. Very friendly manner and I was made to feel very welcome. Lauren is a true credit to the team at David Lloyd Poole.

Fantastic experience: I recently visited the Poole branch for a trial and I was shown around by one of the mangers, Ash. This place definitely has a different feel to it when compared to other gyms in the local area. The fact there are no time restrictions or booking slots to use the pool, the gym is easy to navigate and you are able to use the equipment that you want (I tend to workout in the mornings). Food is a good price and its a nice place to chill out after a workout or do some work Thanks to Ash and his help, I am joining David Lloyd.

Fantastic experience: I feel like I'm on holiday everytime I go to this club. Catriona Lee is so friendly and helpful behind reception and nothing is too much trouble, it's like having your own personal nanny mcphee.

Positive experience: Coffee was warm. Only one person operating the coffee bar. Considering it wasn't that busy. Took nearly 20 minutes to get it. Several people going to the counter, which didn't help. Should be a minimum of 2 at all times. It wasn't fair for the one person trying to accommodate everyone. But when you are using the app to order, then no excuse to be served up a warm coffee. Perhaps people that go to the counter should be made to wait. Especially if the staff are in the middle of an order. Which is exactly why my coffee was not hot. Constructive criticism. To be fair, this was the 1st time I experienced this issue.

Fantastic experience: Moved to the area recently, saw great reviews so I came for a visit. Lovely chap Jordan welcomed me and gave me a tour of the place. Very informative and well mannered. The pools like glamorous, the courts were interesting and the gym was jam packed with equipment. I would be coming back soon, and seeing more of what this place has to offer.
