Services, Machines and Guided Classes
Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Lovely staff, had a great children’s party, all the kids loved it, thank you so much
Negative experience: Absolute nightmare. Trying for nearly 40 minutes to book a swim session online, eventually gave up and rang them, no one answering. I give up, useless.
Positive experience: Facilities look good, haven't visited. The parking is superb for Lemington Spa though...
Positive experience: I go here for fitness classes. The instructors are good, but the classes are always full up and there is not enough space in the room and we usually run out of equipment.
Negative experience: Everyone active has the single worst website and app In history. It is absolutely impossible to use and they insist that you sign up and pay for everything on their website or their app. Literally nothing works about it. I have wasted an hour and a half of my entire life going backwards and forwards between passwords and resets which never arrive. It's literally awful.
Negative experience: No one ever answers the phone if you have a query or a problem you can't talk to anyone. There's always someone sitting on reception so why can't I talk to someone?
Fantastic experience: Lovely leisure centre, good pool, ample parking and pub next to it too.
Fantastic experience: Blue Emulsion love a bit of Newbold Comyn do they
Negative experience: Pool and changing rooms are a disgrace. Came here more than a year ago and promised myself never to come back. Ended up coming back and immediately realized why I'd stayed away. I don't know how the management can see sooooo many reviews saying their pool and changing rooms are filthy and still do absolutely nothing about it. When you eventually go out of business I hope you understand why.
Negative experience: I’ve tried for two days trying to phone reception and no one answers
Negative experience: Extremely Frustrating Experience with Membership Freeze Process I had a highly frustrating experience trying to freeze my swimming membership with Everyone Active. Despite submitting the request multiple times via my profile options, I was told that my membership wasn't frozen because I failed to use the "alternative" method outlined in their confusing email. They insisted that I didn't follow the proper procedure, even though I followed the instructions provided in my account. When I approached the desk to inquire about my membership status, I was shocked to find that my account was still active. Only after further discussion did they finally freeze my account, but I was left feeling blamed and dismissed. The process was unclear, and the communication from their team was poor. They failed to properly action my request despite several attempts. It’s disheartening that the company makes it so difficult to manage basic membership services like freezing, and the lack of responsiveness to my repeated requests has led to me canceling my direct debit and closing my membership entirely. The email instructions were poorly formatted and difficult to follow, leading to unnecessary confusion. It's frustrating that despite following their guidelines, I was blamed for something that should have been handled much more efficiently. I would not recommend their services based on this experience.
Negative experience: I live in Leamington and as a leisure centre they’re one of the worst run places I’ve ever experienced. They’re so lucky that there isn’t an alternative. Overpriced. Website is bugged. On the website you can only book a slot for table tennis, nothing about how many tables you can book. We asked for another table on the court and they said we only booked 1. We said how we could only book a slot and they said ‘oh you should be able to book 2 tables and that it’s 1 table tennis table per badminton court for £18 an hour. They offered to put another table on the court if we paid for it so that’d be £36 for 2 tables on one badminton court. I stated ‘it’s a bit expensive no’ and they just replied ‘it’s just a business’ in a condescending manner (I have a 1st in Econ) and that we should go elsewhere if we don’t agree with it. If there was anywhere else near here that did table tennis, I’d be there I promise you. By the way, 2 groups of people can’t book table tennis in the same hour on the website. (Not very profit-maximising if you ask me).
Fantastic experience: What a wonderful amenity and free parking as well
Fantastic experience: I have a multi site membership but Newbold Comyn is my preferred Everyone Active Centre. Having undergone major refurbishment in recent years the gym has a great selection of equipment. It caters for all ages and abilities so whether your a serious athlete or someone getting back into keep fit it’s the ideal venue. The gym staff are really friendly, approachable and helpful and always on hand. Equally the pool has an extensive range of swim lessons and the aqua fit classes, run by Richard, are outstanding! Lifeguards do a great job keeping everyone safe and are also very friendly. All in all a great team and great facilities. Well done to Gary, the general manager, and his team.
Negative experience: Becoming tired, sauna and jacuzzi closed for a second week running, shower not functioning as it should and dirty steps out of the changing “village”. Not what fully paid members should expect!!
Negative experience: I have never seen a filthier pool and changing rooms, ever, in my entire life! There is a bucket full of piss to replace a urinal in the male loos!!! A dirty nappy in one of the changing rooms! And on top of that, no fast lane on Saturday, so everyone was stuck in the medium, all on completely different levels of swimming. And barely any other slots available at reasonable times! We complained to the centre manager who justified the sorry state of the place by saying: “we have 10000 people every weekend”. 3 people next to him were sitting doing nothing. He knew about the bucket in the loo!!! And in that case, don’t you have enough money to employ proper professional cleaners??? You keep asking for feedback, but it just get worse and worse! Not mentioning you raised your prices… Hello!!! Get a grip for heaven’s sake!
Fantastic experience: Smart and lots of parking spaces
Positive experience: I always book a slow swim but find people of all abilities, also people just in the pool in the way like it's a coffee morning and the staff don't do anything about it! It's very annoying. Other than that facilities are good.
Negative experience: my son was so sad when he got moved down a stage and i hate it but if we left we will have to pay 40 pound charge before we left so what is the point to move him up
Positive experience: Spin, spin and gym. Nice sports ctr.
Negative experience: My daughter was borderline traumatised after lessons here. She was even scared to put her head in the bath! She was left holding onto the poolside where her feet couldn't touch the floor, crying and hyperventilating while the instructor was in the middle of the pool with three other children. We really had to build her up to get back in a pool and after a trial lesson at another local swimming school it's clearly night and day. The website and app are terrible to use and no one ever answers the phone. The changing rooms are filthy and smelly and the pool is freezing cold. You need to either train your staff or maybe try to find instructors that actually want to work with kids. I'd never recommend newbold, it's an awful place.
Negative experience: Always need to wait for equipment. Many people just sitting at machines being on their phone. Too many people not worth the money you won’t get the service.
Positive experience: I felt it bit expensive. It is around £36 per month for 4 lessons of half an hour each week. They take advance payments of 2 months and an admission fees of ~£35. Not the best personal attention to kids. Laid back attitude as they don't promote stages quickly
Negative experience: You are doing cardio and fitness with minimal O2 in the place
Positive experience: Not my usual centre but clean, good equipment and friendly staff. One of the better centres in my opinion
Negative experience: Why have they made it so difficult to book a family swimming session? Not only do I have to be a member, you have to pre-book online, the website is awkward and I don't want to have to download another app. There are also no sessions in the week after school to take my child for a family swim!? The place has gone cashless also just adding to the frustration off this quite new renovated leisure center. Am I living in a dystopia?
Negative experience: Smelly, dirty and cold! We went swimming here for the first time as other pools were booked out. Firstly it smells like sewage as soon as you walk in. The floors are muddy and the changing rooms are also dirty and cold. The atmosphere is just so very dim and unpleasant. The pool is small, the island in the middle had rubbish all over it and is falling apart. The pool had bits on the floor, so it felt gritty and I even came across stones, it just felt dirty. The pool was also cold and we didn’t warm up. I just couldn’t wait to leave, I found myself looking at the clock to leave. If my daughter hadn’t been so excited to swim, We would have left sooner, luckily it was not longer than 50mins. I was glad to be home and in the hot shower!!
Fantastic experience: Really nice gym and a good choice of classes.
Negative experience: The fitness class instructors are all amazing, but the air con in the studio has been malfunctioning for as long as I’ve been with gym. It’s horrible when everyone is sweating and hot!! Management really needs to do something!!!
Positive experience: Unfortunately the lane swimming pool is absolutely freezing!!!
Negative experience: Booked a trial and free slow lane swim, nice facilities attentive staff on reception, slow lane was not regulated by staff people hanging around at the end like it was a general swimming session! Finished my swim as bit disappointed and discovered my key locker wrist band had no number as did any. Took me nearly 30 minutes of trying every locker to find my belongings & local explained to me this was due to theft from lockers| I assumed these wrist bands are attached around peoples wrists so people's hands being chopped off to reveal their key! absolutely ridiculous policy
Negative experience: I’ve been swimming here on and off for the past few years. I went today and oh my life it was horrendously dirty poolside & in the changing rooms. The pool was absolutely freezing, no amount of swimming could warm me up so I had to get out. Unfortunately it was then followed by an equally as cold shower. Also a warning to others: when I showered the button to turn on the shower cut my thumb multiple times as I turned it on!! (I don’t understand why this happened, just badly maintained I guess!) really disappointed, such a shame it’s turned into this..
Negative experience: I was absolutely appalled I tried to call them and no one ever picks up and then you can’t go along and pay. My children were upset again from this company that is overtaken all the swimming pools. There is one other Swiming Pool that’s great it’s in toaster they’re the only people that seem to be doing things correctly. I wouldn’t recommend going to the Swiming Pool . The staff are rude the receptionist so rude and as well as that it’s not a very good hospitality of a place to go to with children stay clear of this place
Fantastic experience: Great swimming, sauna and Jacuzzi. Hot chocolate is yummy.
Fantastic experience: Called in today to enquire about changing facilities for our wheelchair bound, disabled daughter and the young lady on reception couldn't have been more charming or helpful. Well done to her and all the rest of the staff .
Negative experience: It's gross. I swim on Sunday evening. Parents of kids walk in with their muddy shoes and leave nappies and litter everywhere. It stinks.
Negative experience: Impossible to use. Bought a 1 day pass online, didn't tell me I needed an app. Got to the centre, no staff anywhere, no signal to download the app, and I couldn't even view my account to find out how to do it because it kept popping up this questionaire asking intrusive personal questions. Not like I can't use a phone, I'm in my 20s, but maybe I don't want a bloody app for everything??? Facility was fine from what I saw, but not at all worth the price, which is far in excess of the other private gyms in the area. Stood there 20mins trying to work it all out, decided to turn round and go home.
Negative experience: The pool is very cold. Took my 9 month old baby here. Lasted about 20 minutes before she was shivering and had to get out. Very expensive for a rubbish experience.
Positive experience: Great centre for sports of all sorts.
Negative experience: Equipment is pretty good, pool and swimming lessons are well appointed. However, customer service is appalling. Everything has to be pre-booked, which is nigh on impossible with the website/app where what little information is hard to find. Email queries are never answered, likewise phonecalls and voicemails.
Positive experience: Booked a clip and climb session for my daughters and my 2 sons. They really enjoyed climbing all the differnt walls. We would definitely book again. The only reason why I anit giving 5 stars is it could do with having a few less people to a session. Maybe have the amount of people to how many walls there is to climb so people anit having to wait to long. Other then that is was a fantastic session.
Positive experience: Spacious gym. The swimming pool is occupied normally and requires booking.
Negative experience: Scammers I joined using a referral and the person who was supposed to get a free month never got it; she asked several times in reception, but nobody did anything Machines are broken and never fixed, showers are mostly dirty
Fantastic experience: Recently joined & found all the staff easy to deal with & helpful. I would single out the lovely girl in the cafe for always remembering what customers order & her excellent customer service. In addition Kieran who promptly sorted out a issue with lost keys & fully resolved the problem for all parties concerned, went the extra mile. I understand his now moved on & what a loss to the centre.
Negative experience: The space is nice but there’s a culture of hostility towards leisure centre users. Been booking courts for some time and we are often made to feel like an inconvenience. As an example, recently, they must have had some sort of competition planned once our slot was over. We had half an hour of our time left, when staff guided about 50 children into the hall and made them sit down staring at us for the next 30 minutes. Like…what do you mean? Is it really so hard to communicate? Courts are more expensive than anywhere else, with the added perk of stinky changing rooms and bad vibes.
Fantastic experience: One of the best Leisure Centres in England:) Good pool with a slide, jacuzzi and sauna, and many other facilities and activities to take part in. Friendly staff. Their app makes booking super convenient. The only hiccup is that showers have no way to adjust water temperature so baring in mind everyone's skin's sensitivity is different, you're likely to experience either feeling cold or scalded, or both. I did.
Negative experience: The staff are really good but the new swim manager Charles has been pathetic in dealing with complaints.Absolute nightmare I would call and has never seen the same earlier during my last 5 yrs time.
Positive experience: Good organisation of lane swimming - really like the app booking system. Make sure you get the app and do some research before you go, as reception were unhelpful (other customers explained how the system worked to me)
Negative experience: No one answers the phone then you get cut off
Positive experience: Good centre. Missed the general swim pool times so did a yoga class instead. When I booked in at Reception, I enquired what style of class it was. Was told it WON'T be Ashtanga but a general class. Ok. Paid £7.50 for class. Arrived into studio with several women already there chatting. Couldn't tell who was leading the class or if the teacher had arrived. Turns out the lady in black doing her stretches was the yoga instructor. As class began she said it WAS an Ashtanga class (ugh! Not my preferred style of practice but thought ok, seeing as I'm already here, I'll go with the flow). Yoga mats were manky. Centre could do with giving them a deep clean! +ves: +Showers +Hair dryers +clean facilities -ves: -misinformation from front desk about classes /teacher not checking in with staff what she should be teaching or for how long for. Students understood class to be 1hr /teacher was lead to believe she was teaching 90mins - not impressed with yoga teacher (as a yoga teacher/trainer myself since 2008) the teacher did not cater to her audience to lead a generic Hatha or slow flow class when several students also voiced they were expecting a Hatha class. Nonetheless, She continued to teach Ashtanga. Nor was I impressed she was casually doing 'her yoga' before class began. She wasn't poised and ready to welcome students nor did she ask about injuries. For newbies trying out yoga and having a teacher flaunt her flexibility can be intimidating for newcomers.something she should be mindful of, and captured when she did her teacher training: Do's & Don'ts. -ve cafe. Pretty appalled at the café selection of food. This is meant to be a health /leisure centre. But saw nothing but junk /convenience food for sale. Flap jacks, muffin a, crisps, chocolate, sweets and sugary soft drinks and meat based ready made sandwiches! Not at all promoting healthy living/ lifestyle. No fruit or salads in offer -just sugary junk food!
Negative experience: They never answer the phone... an absolute piss take!
Negative experience: Gym equipment is not maintained upto the standards. Machine fixes take months and staff or management don't take responsibility to get them fixed. No customer first behaviour what so ever. Cleanliness needs a huge attention. I see this place shutting down soon if the management don't improve their service.
Negative experience: The swimming pool smells very bad like sewage. And the jacuzzi is cold? You can hardly go swimming as the pool is always in use by children or other groups. And the sauna only gets switched on occasionally and I have had to ask for it to be switched on? And then it takes ages to heat up.
Positive experience: Not a bad gym. Good parking, spacious gym and reasonably good equipment. However some of the weight training equipment is not well maintained. Cleanliness in toilets and changing rooms is not great. Also they are asking for a lot of trouble and potential injuries when they allow big groups of teenagers into the weight training areas and swimming pool on specific days and times. Organised chaos. No one has even showed those kids how to use weight training equipment or basic gym ettiquette. Matter of time before someone gets hurt
Negative experience: When a new member gives your referral you get a month free. My partner gave my referral and I have been charged every single month. I have complained twice (two month ago and one month ago), the people from the staff I talked to raised a formal complaint but nothing has happened.
Positive experience: ADD FAINT MUSIC TO LIGHTEN THE VIBE SINCE IT'S A BIT BORING SITTING IN QUIET
Negative experience: The website and app are a joke... The website is nightmare to find what you need, the app crashes more than it ever works (in terms of bringing relentless error messages). It's also like they have forgot they have a phone number, no one ever answers it or gets back to you when you leave a message. On a positive note, staff are helpful in person. Overall they need to stop fobbing people off to get information from their website or app, when their website and app aren't up to the job!
Positive experience: Great gym, lots of different classes. Love the swimming pool and sauna. However sauna could do with a refurbishment.
Negative experience: Never anyone available on reception to answer the phone.
Positive experience: A nice place just stopped there so my granddaughter could play in the playground
Fantastic experience: Fantastic facility in a great setting ✅ Fitness Suite ✅ Main Pool with Large Separator Seating ✅ Leisure Pool with Flume, Sauna & Hot Tub ✅ Group Exercise Studios ✅ Spin Studio ✅ Clip 'n Climb ✅ Sports Hall ✅ Café & Seating Area
Negative experience: Lack of customer service, poor cleaning standards, business model created to avoid any conversations with clients. Not recommended.
Negative experience: Centre is fine, impossible to contact, will always ring out with ‘higher than average’ whatever time called. Website is clunky and any contact form doesn’t work properly.
Positive experience: The website was a nightmare to operate and navigate - especially if you just want a day pass. However, the staff were lovely and helpful and the gym itself was great. Good array of machines - both functional and standard bodybuilding types -and very clean. Would recommend.
Fantastic experience: The staff at Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre are extremely friendly and helpful. From front desk to upper management, every is keen to provide support and service to better the community and support small charities and organisations in the best possible way. In terms of facilities, the pools are awesome (especially the leisure pool), the changing village is well built and a good size and there is a plethora of other acitivites available.
Negative experience: The areas around the pool were filthy yet staff just stood about doing nothing. There was lots of stones on the floor of the small pool that hurt when you stood on them. There was a huge snotty thing floating around in the small pool. Very disappointing
Negative experience: I had been going to Newbold Comyn Leisure Centre purely for the really fantastic yoga classes by Angela Liu but sadly the management in their wisdom (I use that phrase ironically!) have decided to cancel all her classes. Whilst they have publicised a mindfulness room attempting to show their approach to mind & body, unfortunately they seem to have a complete lack of understanding of the real meaning of complete mind & body wellness. Angela's yoga class was the very best I've ever attended, teaching safe, pure practice that worked wonders for my mind & body. I have tried some of the alternative yoga classes at Newbold when Angela was not available & each time I came away not just disappointed but slightly injured. The management seem to have taken the idea of no pain no gain to heart. Talking of the management, I have found the manager to be very unpleasant & quite toxic. When he had mixed up a lesson booking (completely his fault) which left myself & numerous other members waiting over 20 minutes for a class he was dismissive & sarcastic in his explanation & whenever any other issue arose, he was really unpleasant..... zero customer relations. Another issue I found was, when I wanted to check a class was running (because of not showing on the app) so that I didn't make a wasted journey (I'm a busy self employed person), I would try to call..... over 10 minutes waiting on the phone & no answer, time & time again, not just a one off occasion one day, this was any time I tried. I am giving two stars (rather than one) purely because I have had fantastic yoga classes with Angela Liu (I'd give her classes on their own 5 stars, actually, I'd give 10 stars if I could). I will be cancelling my membership now.
Negative experience: Probably one of the worst swimming pools in the county. Cold water. Dirty water and disgusting floors. 50 minutes sessions, but the reception kept us at the door 10 minutes out of that because she was on the phone. No accessories like other swimming pools have! What a waste of money and energy! You're not allowed to go into the leisure pool if you paid for swimming and not allowed to go into the main pool if you paid for family swimming. So if let's say you come with your family but would want to do a couple of laps of actual swimming, you are not allowed! Do not waste your money!
Negative experience: This has massively gone down hill. The pool changing rooms are filthy, dirty mud and hair everywhere. The pool is freezing, we had to leave. Apparently it’s to save bills but how can they pay for them if no one goes?
Negative experience: Reception is hopelessly understaffed. Located in the backside of nowhere. Frequently impossible to use sauna, because of swimming lessons. Surveillance cameras in pool changing area. If you want to use the gym, it's frequently populated by a gaggle of young boys. Separate changing rooms for the gym and classes mean that you need a separate locker downstairs as well, if you wish to use the sauna and/or pool as part of your visit. Most locker keys don't have a number, and/or strap to keep them with you. Cards frequently don't work on the barriers, but that's no longer an issue for me, as I'm cancelling my membership. If I could give it less than zero stars, I would. Total waste of space.
Positive experience: It's early days as I have just started going to Newbold leisure centre. However first impressions are good friendly staff. i Cycle so was worried there wouldn't be anywhere to store my bike needn't have worried there is 10 or more places to lock your bike however only four also are undercover which is a little bit annoying considering we live in Britain and it rains a lot. Updates!! have been going into this gym now for over 6 months and the cleanliness does concern me. Grey Tampax bins in toilets overflowing especially the one in the upstairs gym toilet. The dust on top of the gym equipment is disgusting It looks like they have never been cleaned with a good 3 or 4 mm of dust on the top of all the equipment.its a running joke now every time we go. And don't get me started on the toilet paper. I don't know how you can find a paper so thin and weak it's a skill in itself to get it out of the dispenser without it ripping. Total false economy. You will find out the hard way that you have to fold it over about 6 times.
Negative experience: The facilities are good, the pool is freezing cold despite winter temperatures.
Negative experience: Always full, unpleasant staff, no equipment… just bad !
Positive experience: Great pool, love taking my little girl here for swimming! The lay out is perfect and the pool is lovely and warm! The only downside is the sessions are soo short! I remember the days when swimming would be all day! The cafe is also nice, staff all so friendly but tad on the expensive side!
Negative experience: The draconian timed family swimming is not much fun, great pool, they should probably re-think the 50 minute slots, it's just not long enough
Fantastic experience: Plentiful Parking spaces, Clean, staff are always happy to help!
Positive experience: Great place to take your kids, we try to go twice a month with our 11 month old baby and he enjoys splashing In the water, in his ring. Can be a little busy at times, but the online booking helps to limit so not overcrowded. I would say the only downside to the pool is the bookings are poor times for the kids pool, need to be more varied and not at random points in the day (eg do a morning after school drop offs, a just before lunchtime as always hungry when get out , and an mid afternoon/after school would be perfect). Other than that a great place to swim and free parking, which is more than I can say for Warwick baths.
Negative experience: Incredibly difficult booking a simple swim session and navigating the website. Couldn't even leave an enquiry!
Negative experience: Normally I really enjoy going to Newbold Leisure Centre but this time I was extremely disappointed. I booked a swim session at the weekend and to be honest the changing rooms and pool side were disgusting. So dirty I didn't want to step on the floor. Used plasters and other unsanitary items on the pool side. Really uninviting!!! Please make more effort on cleaning the pool areas.
Negative experience: Family pool.... soo freezing ... I never been in really cold "Family pool" .... definitely not be back... my son was shaking, because it was so cold And jacuzzi just for 16 and more... disappointed kids and parents
Negative experience: Unprofessional behaviour; a major disappointment My son is registered in swim lessons at Newbold Comly Leisure Centre, Leamington Spa, on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM. Due to renovation work on the swimming pools, they have rescheduled my Son's class to 06:30 PM without informing us. As usual, when we arrived at 7:00 PM and learned from the swim instructor that class ended at 06:30 PM and that I should check with reception, I discovered that they were unaware of the change and that the system still reflected 7:00 PM. Receptionist told me that she would put a note to the swim manager and ask him to call me back so that I could be informed of the next swim class time, but no one has called me so far ( waiting from last 3 days). My son was quite dissatisfied. The centre charged for each lesson, and I'm sure they won't make up for it by offering an extra class.
Negative experience: Frustrating, membership card would not scan when swim booked and was advised to get card scan on way out after swim. But no one was at reception, hung around for about 10 minutes and then left. Other people had same issue waiting to get membership card scanned as didn't want to then tomorrow receive email saying class or swim was not attended. This is not good enough, very poor customer service once again...
Negative experience: I am reviewing the swimming experience as I didn’t go to the gym or other things on offer. I booked the family swim in the main pool, the slide area is off limits so you have the main pool and the jacuzzi. The main pool is the coldest pool I have ever experienced in my life. I managed 5minutes and my kids braved the ice cold pool for 20minutes. I headed for the jacuzzi which was also cold but not ice cold (it’s certainly not a jacuzzi experience I would recommend). Unfortunately my kids couldn’t follow me when their lips had turned purple as the jacuzzi is for over 16s only. So we left (along with many other families) after 25 minutes and at least the shower was hot. We did raise the coldness with the staff but they were adamant it was 28 degrees. I am giving one star as the car park was free.
Negative experience: Rude staff, my kid is stuck in stage1 swimming for nearly a year now. when asked the swim teacher says check the status/progress on the app but the app was not updated for months. As per app the kid could not even move 5mtrs, absolute rubbish. The swim manager has no time to speak. The feedbacks and complaints made online are totally ignored. Overcrowded pool with kids swimming shoulder to shoulder with others.
Negative experience: Great facilities. My daughter has lessons at 4pm every week and due to school finishing times we drive straight to the pool and like to get a snack from the coffee shop beforehand. It's a lovely treat for us both and we always enjoy it. HOWEVER.....every week we are greeted with an eye roll from the receptionist who tells us that we aren't supposed to arrive more than half an hour before our lesson time and she has to buzz us in the door rather than us using our swipe card. Well, after another hostile welcome today, it was the last straw. We won't be spending another penny in your establishment as we'll just sit in the car and bring our own snacks from now on. It'll be cheaper after all.
Negative experience: Continually reactivated my account over lock-down when I had no access to the gym despite acknowledging that I had no access. Charged an extortionate amount in admin fees yet rarely replied to emails. Had to close my account via the bank in the end to stop them stealing from me.
Negative experience: All the centers, should sort their lockers for a costumers to use,so when the costumer haven't got one pound still enjoy the fasilities, that they paid for.
Positive experience: Transferring here whilst Kenilworth sports centre is being brought up to date, we were made to feel very welcome. Not everything was ready for us to start playing bowls however when it was pointed out what we needed, three members of staff rushed to sort the problem out , and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Well done NC. It was also lovely that a member of staff from Kenilworth who had also transferred, came to say hello.
Fantastic experience: Great facilities. Lovely staff.
Negative experience: The receptions never, and I mean NEVER, answer the phone. Don't believe.me? Just try calling this place now, and I guarantee you the phone rings out. Makes it impoosble to communicate easily. What a joke this place is!
Fantastic experience: Great gym...fantastic workout!
Negative experience: By far the worst customer service and poorly organised swimming Lessons my son has had different teacher every session they have cancelled both my children place leaving both my children crying on the side of the pool because they was missing there lesson.I was told to go to reception and reception told me I had to wait with my children in there costumes in reception for the swim manager who was running lesson! After waiting for period of time my kids was cold and had missed the start of there half hour lesson so got them dressed asked if the was anyone else I could speak to to be told no. Highly recommend avoiding this place if you don’t want disappointed children!!
Negative experience: Horrendous gym. Incredibly expensive for what you get. The membership cancellation system is a brilliant way to scam you for an extra month. Stupid joining fee. Always busy. Equipment isnt great. So many membership issues including a random cancellation of my direct debit which led to me having to pay an extra £3 p/m. Charged for cancelling a FREE yoga session. Sanitiser stations are often empty. Staff are fine. Don't blame them, blame the big dosser owner. Only good thing about this place is the Indian woman at the front desk. Don't join Everyone Active. Sort it out, Bibby.
Fantastic experience: Me and my friends borrowed a toilet just now. It looks clean and tidy . The staff is nice to us.
Negative experience: Booked a family swim on the app, turned up with my 3 children only to be told it was to busy, what an absolute shambles of a place,
Positive experience: i tried to book a visit on their web. you need to create an account - OK fair enough.... but the system is so clunky, so out of date and difficult to use... you fill in all fields and still can not move to next step... its 2021 !!! not 1999 .... EDIT. I change my score from 1 to 3 - as the website is not easy and user friendly, after numerous trials and errors I have managed to get in and book.... the facility itself is OK.
Negative experience: Diabolical website. Way too complicated to find out about availability for swimming. Yet another stupid system as a result of COVID. No one ever answers the phone, it simply holds then cuts off after a couple of minutes.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service at reception even though my payment hadn't produced a slot on the climbing wall they sorted it out and my granddaughter had a brilliant time, thank you!
Fantastic experience: Last time I went here it wasn't packed I suggest going at a early opening hours for less people staff were nice and supportive to new swimmers and I'd you asked for help at any point they were there for you
Positive experience: I was a member of the leisure centre for about a year before the pandemic. Its a very reasonable price for everything it offers but i wish there was a gym only membership which was a bit cheaper as I never used the other facilities myself. The gym is good but I feel it could be bigger. Has a wide variety of equipment but only one of each weight machine. A lot of treadmills though. And not much of a stretching/matt area.
