Fantastic experience: Always a friendly welcome. Great value for money
Fantastic experience: I've been a member for 2 years and can honestly say that this gym brings the community together , I've made alot of friends and made alot of connections.. The gym is clean..The staff are great and very helpful and go out of their way to advice in all aspects of fitness. Rey,Geoff,harry and jake do a top job always there to help support and bring a smile to yr face. The machines could be upgraded with more of a variety but on the whole sufficient. ..Also maintenance on machines takes time when machines are broken but since Geoff and rey have been on the case things have speeded up... The guys often run random competitions where gym members get involved to get their all best scores to win challenge of the month... I luv this aspect and often enter them .... I could quite easily find a cheaper gym with better gym equipment but the people they have here like the staff and people who go to the gym create a chemical reaction in which creates a good environment to workout..
Negative experience: This gym is great but only if it's just you in it. It doesn't work when it's busy. There's pretty much one machine each. I come late at night due to work and it was great for a bit but once again it's full of college kids walking around shirtless. I bet 3/4 of them don't even pay because they come in groups. 10pm used to be a sweet spot and it's gone now. It feels like Monday rush hour. Just waiting for machines to be broken again and they won't be repaired for a few months, making the small gym even smaller.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for this gym for 2 years and it’s been great. The staff are welcoming and polite and there are a wide variety of classes for all levels of fitness. This gym is great value for money and I would highly recommend !

Fantastic experience: The gym is in a great location, with a pretty good selection of equipment. It isn't the largest gym I've used but has everything I need, rarely super busy when I need to go as well, which suits me. Bonus attention to my PT there, Harry. He knows his stuff, flexible with timings and good chap to boot.

Fantastic experience: Decent gym locally if you like plenty of space as it doesnt get over busy and you get left alone unless you want to make connections. If you do ,then the members are friendly . Equipment is well looked after and the place is kept very clean .

Fantastic experience: Been going to this place for a few months now. The staff are lovely, the place is kept clean, and there's ample space for your workout needs. Huge bonus points for it being 24/7. Not to mention Sainsbury's next door to grab anything you may need before or after a workout.

Fantastic experience: Been a member for over 2 years now and felt right to leave a review. Facilities are great with plenty of cardio and strength machinery, free weights, benches and two squat racks. Most of all for me, it’s a well spaced gym meaning I never feel cramped or uncomfortable. Overall, a clean and friendly environment. Staff are lovely too. An added bonus for me personally. Thanks specifically to Lu and Ray, who’ve always been super helpful and polite.

Negative experience: Needs new matts, the floors are dirty, the music is now boring and repetitive as they have cheaped out on a licence. Why is the gym so dirty? Who wants to do pilates and lay their head near that?(Google asked for an update on my last review).

Negative experience: I cancelled my Snap Fitness membership in around November time, now i’ve got ARC ringing me everyday talking about how i owe £115 as i haven’t been paying, probably because i haven’t been there? other than that the gym is decent, but ridiculous how i’m getting charged still after 5 months of not being there. Now ARC are gonna come take my dog and xbox as compensation

Fantastic experience: Each staff member perform their job beyond expectations, they do their best to make sure you get the best out of your experience with snap fitness. A lovely community with lots of equipment in a clean environment! I’ve only been going for under 3 months and I couldn’t recommend it any more. Always an opportunity to win discounts and prizes. Lots of classes available.

Fantastic experience: Snap fitness has been a wonderful gym for me so far. It has a wide range of equipment which is great, and the staff are always welcoming. Their employee Bradley is really helpful and gives me a lot more confidence using the machines that I wouldn’t have tried before, and also helps me to achieve exercises that I previously couldn’t do by adapting it and making it achievable for me. He has outstanding knowledge on nutrition and fitness and explains things thoroughly so you can have a good understanding on how the exercise is helping you. I would highly recommend!

Negative experience: Pathetic Management Many times I've attended the gym around 11am to 12pm and there's workers cleaning the gym while there's plenty of customers working out. Surely cleaners can do their job before opening hours and also isn't it counter productive to clean while people are using the gym at the same time? Unprofessional business, avoid.

Negative experience: They purposefully give you the wrong email to cancel your membership and keep taking money out months after. Disgusting and the gym isn’t even that good. Just standard looks like a gym in a prison

Fantastic experience: + Great Gym with top quality equipment with a lovely vibe. + I’d also like to give a huge shoutout to Lou (club manager) who oozes such great energy and is always at hand to support. - I would love to see snap fitness expand the range of equipment and make more use of the space. There seems to be more space at the back of the gym thats not being used! With other gyms in the area and a few more about to open, it would be great to see SF compete, in order to attain and attract members
Fantastic experience: Best gym in the area. Its open 24/7. Staff is helpful and friendly. To anyone who feels anxious joining gym, this is a place to be. People who come there are also friendly, it feels more like a community not just a gym. If you fallow them on social media you will be informed of challenges and events that are happening.

Fantastic experience: The bloke at reception was professional but friendly and informative about SnapFitness. The gym floor had a good range of free weights and fitness machines. It looked clean and a good size gym.
Negative experience: Quite possibly the worst customer service in the industry, I tried to contact the gym MULTIPLE times and had no response to cancel my membership. They decided that it wasn’t good enough and I now have debt collection agencies chasing me for money for a gym membership I cancelled months ago. Avoid these lot at all costs

Fantastic experience: Was not sure in the beginning
Negative experience: Half the gym has been closed since May with no communication to members as to when it will be reopened. This means the gym is only half useable yet they are still charging full price. I contacted the gym twice about this as I would have expected some sort of discount or compensation but was completely ignored. Have now cancelled membership. Overall, just a really poor gym.

Negative experience: I cancelled my membership with this gym in person and signed the cancellation form. They have been taking money (£45.99) every month for the past 3 months and are not refunding the money. It's hard to get through on the phone to the gym and there is no head office. They're doing this to loads of other people who have cancelled too.

Negative experience: There is a big different between this snapfitness location and other ones I've been to. This location seem as if they do not care. Along with this, they have had their weight area under construction for months, there hasn't been any improvement to the construction either, which just tells me they do not care, and are in no rush to finish it. The job could easily been done in a few days, but instead, half of the gym is a construction site. There is no compensation for this either. I am happy this isn't my local snapfitness, I would cancel my membership if that was the case.

Negative experience: Zero stars , Cancelled my membership in March and they still taking money out my account, phoned up today 3 times and twice the “lady” I spoke to was so rude , Iv got emails to prove I cancelled and only went twice , I paid 2 months as if cancelling a membership that’s the rules so I done that , and today £75 has come out my account ....... I went 2 times then cancelled!!!!!! Joke of a place !!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I have come in a few times just for a day pass as I was in the area previously. The staff are really helpful, it’s a bit busy at times during the late evenings but it’s expected. I came back down when I moved to the area, and joined! The empresonas trainers are quite resourceful. Nothing bad to say here

Fantastic experience: Got eveything i need to do a good work
Fantastic experience: I’ve had an amazing experience so far at Snap Fitness Debden! I’m a new mum and I really needed to get back to feeling myself again so I signed up to this gym as it’s 24 hours (very flexible for my schedule) and Micheal (Gym manager) and Lu (Gym assistant manager) have been soo helpful! They both made me feel very welcomed from the start and help me set up a gym plan to fit my goals. I would highly recommend if you live in the local area!
Positive experience: I personally think the gym is modern and clean but they need more machines and weights every time I go in I can not get on anything as it is to small for hpw many people go they have other rooms that could be used for more machines which I have suggested before

Negative experience: This place is vile - both the cleanliness of the building and the staff themselves. Staff are rude and they are liars, as are management. I strongly suspect that they share one brain cell between them all, so good luck to anyone who needs a quirey dealt with - I hope you find the colleague in possession of it at that time.

Negative experience: Impossible to cancel memberships having needed to download cancellation forms and then having no confirmation they’ve accepted it. Once they then do you’re still billed again. Never had issues with The Gym or Pure Gym when I’ve been members there and would never look to return to Snap Fitness.

Negative experience: Useless!! They sent me an email to say that my membership was up for renewal in August. I've replied and commented that the gym has been closed for the last four months due to Covid 19 and that they should add the additional months to the membership. I've sent a few emails to ask what is happening but had no response. Not even to say we are looking into this but as per other peoples comments once they have your money very hard to cancel or to even get some answers. Can anyone at @Snap Fitness please help?

Fantastic experience: ALWAYS GOOD FOR A QUICK VISIT.
Negative experience: As I can see from other customer reviews, those people are very rude and unhelpful. I have similar problem with them for cancelling my membership. I've sent them an enquiry in May and every month after to cancell my membership. you all know from experience the rest. Now they demand from me £40 as a month notice, despite the fact is their fault for very late respond and deliberately slow process of the cancelation form. If you guys agree, shell we take action against them? It's not about the money, they treat us like a fools and playing dirty games with the cancellation forms. Its really annoying me. Back to the much better one in Loughton for sure.

Negative experience: Joined when it first opened .. as a regular user up until Covid lockdown the cleanliness got worse, no paper towels available or cleaning fluid to clean equipment before andaand after use. Very high turnover of staff, the more recent staff didn't seem to care. As soon as we were notified of its intended reopening, I contacted (emailed) to cancelc, but no reply until a week later. Cancellation forms were emailed to me, and were filled in by myself and emailed back 23 July, a week before they reopened. Luckily I contacted my Bank to decline any payment requests from them .. guess what, I got the email asking me to contact them to make a payment .. responding email sent 'politely' asking them to check their inbox from over a week ago .. they are allegedly using an appointment only system with temperstures to be taken upon entry to the gym .. I've been told by a friend that this is not the case when she had gone .. and is having to take her own cleaning materials as none are available .. shocking

Fantastic experience: The guys leaving bad reviews need to seriously chill.. This place is amazong I was one of the first members to join so have been here since start. Being a member of various other gyms in the past, I can safely say hands down this is the best ever gym I have had the pleasure of attending. Staff are top class.. They all have so much time for you, going from a novice to I'd say semi advanced now, every question I ask, they immediately take their time to answer and/or physically show me how I should be doing things for best results. Every single staff member are friendly and pleased to see you ESPECIALLY Naomi, she is a credit to your company Snap. Thank you Snap for getting me closer to person I wanna be.. Negative experience: Since Laurence has left the gym has really gone down hill, Most days there are no paper towels to wipe the machines down so lack of hygiene is starting to show. Most days in the last week there has been no shower gel in any of the cubicles, Used to be a really great gym being able to go 24 hours a day, But now time is coming to look at other options for me and my partner. Update on 9th March 2020 Another Monday Morning and no hand towels in the GYM to wipe down the machines. Looks like they really don’t care about there clients The new Manager said it would be taken care of two weeks ago at a time when hygiene is most important for everyone to take extra care.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym and staff very friendly. Not pretentious and everyone just “does their thing”. Very reasonable cost too. Highly recommend this gym and suits me as it’s close to work and home.
Negative experience: If you are looking for a gym thats open 24/7 with basic equipment this is the gym for you.The owners of this gym is basically for profit only. Management/ owners won’t engage with members on any recommendations. New staff members only last last a few months at Debden branch with the complaints regarding their business module. Studio classes are a joke, mostly non professional trainers that are not qualified for professional work in recognised health clubs. At £40 per month membership fee, I think you could get a lot better for your money.

Fantastic experience: Such a great place to train. They have lovely facilities and equipment. I love all the plate loaded machines. And their showers etc are beautiful. The GHDs come in handy too!

Tried to cancel and on my last payment i recieved an email stating that my card had been declined due to unknown reasons and they charged me a late fee. Negative experience: Overpriced American scam. When leaving, you're forced to pay for another month after the month you leave, you can't just cancel. Support is non-existent, called within hours to cancel but no answer, this now results in me paying another 40 pounds. Other than that, good facilities, 24/7 is cool but just feels like a waste of money.
Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym! Great range of equipment and classes and the staff are friendly as well.
Positive experience: Good when quiet very clean but tiny and over priced for size. Shame the area pushes the price up. Great staff though
