Fantastic experience: Love this place, been coming for the past 3 years.

Negative experience: The person at the front desk was unfriendly and rude to my son i was disappointed on my visit

Negative experience: The leisure centre facility is good and new and nice but the workers at the front of the entrance were really rude I won’t suggest going to the leisure centre they were arguing

Positive experience: Pretty good gym, could do with an expansion tho

Negative experience: I was really disappointed when visiting here. The person on the front desk was incredibly unfriendly and rude to my father (70 years old) the price was expensive and then we had to pay even more for locks. The lifeguards were not attentive and a large area of it was ropped off to train 2 more lifeguards.

Positive experience: Basic leisure centre. They have overly strict rules with people under 16

Negative experience: The bottom of the pool is always full of debris, opening times are very limited for adult swimming. You’re not allowed to use regular standard equipment such as snorkel even when it’s not crowded.

Fantastic experience: My daughter goes once a week since she was 6 and now she is 14. Very happy, she swim very good as not professional. The reason to sigh her there to make her love swimming and the mission is done. Charlotte is the best coach as the others

Negative experience: Good gym for its price but cancellation/freezing terms are very stupid. I’m going away for couple of weeks and I canceled my membership because the minimum freezing period is 1 month, but nobody told me that I will have to pay joining fee again when I come back. The woman I called on the phone was very rude to me. I’m not English and couldn’t understand what she was saying and she wouldn’t even slow down to explain the terms to me and in the end of the phone call she just hang up and didn’t even say bye. Plus I was referred by my friend so he was expecting to get one month free, but the woman on reception said he can get it only after 2 months of my membership. But after 2 months the other woman said it should be 3 months and only on 4th month he can get a month free. So all this referral promotion is a bullshit.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Swimming Team! My daughter was set to join stage 3, but Sue, her trainer, was incredible in helping Malika advance within just three sessions. Sue then suggested moving her to stage 4. Ms. Pip, the manager, took a personal interest in our situation. After talking to us, she arranged a trial session with Zara, another trainer, who successfully helped my daughter transition to stage 4. We were pleasantly surprised by such an amazing experience, and our daughter is now incredibly happy and enjoying swimming. Our heartfelt thanks to the entire swimming team!

Positive experience: Excellent apart from the lack of air conditioning/ ventilation, which means that even upstairs in reception, etc, it is ridiculously warm. I suffer from asthma and hot flushes and can not breathe when I'm too hot. Do better guys.

Negative experience: Wonderful instructors for yoga and Pilates. Informative and professional. Unfortunately a few of the class participants in the yoga sessions let the classes down with their attitudes. For example,”mat wars”. Not a relaxed environment to be in. Too many people in one room.

Negative experience: Decent equipment with plenty of weights . However very poor materials for the leather/coverings for seats and benches . They crack and wear off quickly making it uncomfortable for the workout.

Negative experience: This place is more dirty than Dagenham facility, which I thought is impossible. Makes one want to vomit, especially toilets and showers. People walk in the outdoor muddy shoes into the pool area or go to sauna and then jump all sweaty straight into the pool and staff does not react. Overall this was a traumatising experience

Positive experience: Standard pool, water is freezing, cheap as chips to swim. Bring a towel you might get wet

Fantastic experience: I love it,there are loads of activities for EVERYONE!Grew up to be a professional swimmer once you get to know the staff they could be benevolent.I do recommend if your looking for a good workout or swim!

Negative experience: The swimming lessons are ok and the staff are nice but the toilets and changing rooms are not very clean!! Sometimes I even see a bunch of flys in one changing room. I am not happy

Fantastic experience: Great facility lovely staff shame about the locals tho i had a dirty wet nappy thrown across the changing room witch hit me on the head the row i had about it was epic i just couldn’t believe the lies that came from the offending nappy thrower theres alway one eh what a ✊

Positive experience: Excellent swim..private changing rooms.. but comunual showers.. Excellent pool except for high ends to pool..which makes turning difficult when doing lengths..staff very nice and appears well run Recommend 3.00 to 4.00 swim.very quiet time before clubs start.on wednesday

Negative experience: My 11 year old Daughters’ locker was broken into, her phone and money stolen today. Multiple other lockers were broken into with bank cards, phones, car keys etc stolen. LLC basically don’t care. They should be able to double check the guys credentials as they have him on CCTV but they aren’t bothering. Pathetically disgraceful

Negative experience: This is a place where thieves frequent. Your belongings are not safe. They have a communal changing room for the swimming pool with booths to change in. There is no one in attendance at all ensuring theft does not occur and no CCTv. For just £5.70 anyone can enter the leisure centre to have a good theft session. Today, Saturday 9th December 2023 in the morning, several lockers were broken into and personal belongings were stolen including mobile phones and cash from those who were enjoying their session in the swimming pool. Thieves are obviously very welcome as patrons have no protection.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff, only to help an over 60's ,great facilities. My trainer is very patient with me.Great atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: A well-maintained facility for those who enjoy swimming and the gym. There are other offerings too. Also, the staff are very friendly.

Negative experience: Decent equipment and not busy at lunch. Every gym has people who don't re rack weights but this place is a joke. Barbells on Squat racks and Smith machines with over 100kg in weights regularly left on for other people to clear up. Pretty much every weight machine has plates loaded on. Far and away the worst gym for it I've been to in 15 years. Shame.

Negative experience: I recently had to cancel my membership because I can’t bring myself to go to this gym anymore. Apart from the general lack of atmosphere the moment you step into this place, you are greeted with no greeting from any member of staff, followed by miserable walk to the disgusting changing rooms (if you can actually bring yourself to go into them). My biggest issue however is the staff and how a restructure hasn’t been considered. The staff are rude, confrontational and off putting. Unless you are a part of the group whom the staff congregate with, you are ostracised and victim to unfair treatment such as being told to not wear boots in the gym, and then walk past one of the staffs friends who is wearing boots. This gym is disgusting and a staff restructure is way overdue.

Positive experience: Alderton School now finishes at 3:15pm . Making the child swim time only 30 minutes when get there and change.. Could Leasure places review there child swim times to stay in line with local schools. Thanks

Fantastic experience: Classes at this gym are good, especially Tuesday 6.30am BoxFit class. Gets you pumped and ready for the day! Instructor is the BEST, she’s a real laugh and very attentive. Really makes a change to the virtual classes they have there. Swimming, sauna and steel facilities are also a great plus. 5*

Fantastic experience: This is a lovely swimming pool. We live nearer to Barkingside pool but choose to come here because it’s cleaner and well maintained. The changing room area is good with plenty of lockers and changing cubicles, you need to bring your own padlock or you can purchase one at the reception. The main pool is nice and cool and the children’s shallow training kids pool is nicely heated. There are also hairdryers provided. Very nice.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member for 8 months and I’ve slowly watched the gym deteriorate. There’s no denying that I myself am I student/young person yet, unlike 12/13 year olds, I am experienced in a gym environment and most importantly have etiquette. In the past 2/3 months, the gym has become packed with 12 and 13 year olds, spending their full hour on cables doing pointless exercises and quite frankly don’t know what they are doing.There is no guidance from PT’s, instead just a reminder that the kids have 30 minutes left until they have to leave etc. no new machines when the prospect was proposed in December, a packed DB area where the floor hasn’t been fixed in the last month AND no ventilation (will be worse in summer) If I could, I would go elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Great gym and spa facilities, equipment is very straightforward. The customer service is faultless, easy to freeze the membership and no fuss cancellations.

Negative experience: Used to be great, but there's now no age limit on the gym, so its filled with 12 year olds anytime after 3pm. The floors been damaged in the free weight area for over a month and a sign promising new equipment has been up since January and nothing yet

Fantastic experience: First time today, really clean and tidy changing rooms. Swimming was lovely with steam and sauna rooms giving a bonus! Cheap prices and easy parking. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back.

Positive experience: Been using the gym here for around 4 years since the refurbishment. Was really good. Plenty of space and equipment. Nice staff and well-maintained. However, for the past year or so, the number of people at a time in there is unbelievable, particularly teenagers coming in from school. Nothing against them but it’s just too many people for the equipment available and means you can never get a good workout in. Hope to see this change in future, or I’ll be moving gyms

Negative experience: Make sure you read ALL the terms of your membership. Booked an 0600 lane swim at 23:52 hrs for the following There were 31 tickets available. Plans changed first thing in the morning git fined £2.50 . Tried an evening swim session for 20:45. Received email saying to arrive early. Entered pool area at 20:34 to use steam room before swim. Was quickly followed by a member of staff and told I had to wait in the changing room until the session started. Really should be more transparent about usage and limitations when prospective members enquire. Its as valuable to know what we can't do as much as what we can.

Negative experience: Been a member of this gym/leisure center 10 years now it was once a lovely place but now its just a youth center can't get on anything weight wise kids running around like it's a play ground under staffed. just money grabbing owners now if you think I'm just a moaner go look at 4 pm to 9 pm on a Monday .if your a adult avoid this place

Positive experience: One of the best for swimming courses around and have good facility for the gym. Swimming courses were so professional and can see the updated after every session in detail. It got very big parking space, however parking is payable even though you are member of the club.

Negative experience: Should be renamed Loughton Crèche Centre. Expect large groups of teenage boys in the gym during peak hours (after school) and queues for equipment. Used to be great just after the refurbishment but not having a minimum age for the gym means I will be cancelling my membership and moving to somewhere that does.

Positive experience: Nice pool but water could be a little warmer. Otherwise a good length pool with nice depth and great for family swimming.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful facility with quality trainers and well managed activities. Very well located, just around the high street, making it easy to manage my daily groceries or take away as I finish my kids sessions. Ample parking available and friendly place. Communication regards course updates can be better though.

Positive experience: I primarily use the gym which is stocked with clean and well maintained equipment. Hand sanitizer and cleaning sprays are readily available throughout the facility. Staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. The gym does get busy but never had to wait long for something to free up. The only minor downside is the gym changing rooms. They definitely need to be better ventilated, when the showers are in use the room becomes a sauna and somewhat uncomfortable. Other than that highly recommended facility.

Fantastic experience: Went for a covid vaccination , staff are very polite and helpful.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs if you can help it. Terrible communication and customer service. They take out money for no reason from your account and when you call to cancel, it takes an hour just to get through to someone. When you do get through to someone finally, they are just totally unhelpful and never give you all the information.

Fantastic experience: The five star rating is for the swimming lessons for my five year old. He loves it and the staff I deal with are very nice. Quick suggestion. The viewing area for the kids/learning pool.....is very hot! Air conditioning needs to be on.

Positive experience: We were there for swimming lessons for a five year old. They're really well run and disciplined classes and the children learn really quickly. Changing rooms and showers are generally good but there are some areas that have got a bit shabby. The centre also has all sorts of gym and fitness classes which look to be very popular.

Negative experience: Never answer the phones. EVER. No matter how long you hold or the time of day you call. Strange, because when Im at the centre there is normally atleast 2 of them hanging around reception chatting between them and doing f all.
