Negative experience: Customer has no right to cancel their membership unless the JD is charging more money forcefully. I don’t know the reason, they couldn’t accept what customer says.

Fantastic experience: This place has improved considerably since it was it's budget predecessor. Good range of equipment with a good mix for everyone whether you're a cardio bunny, big lifter or bodybuilder.

Fantastic experience: I've been to different gyms in the city. This one is the best!

Positive experience: Would highly recommend this gym and the PT’s there are amazing!(I highly recommend gabrielle, growonlinecoaching) It’s great you also get 2.5hours free parking. Only complaints are more aircon please, I feel like it isn't turned on most of the time and the wifi doesnt work amazingly.

Negative experience: While I've generally had a positive experience with the staff at Dundee JD gym, I was disappointed with the administrative handling of my recent membership cancellation request and the condition of the gym equipment. Despite the policy stating that such requests would be addressed within 21 working days, I did not receive any confirmation or communication from the administration. Additionally, many of the machines at the gym are quite old and could benefit from an update. These aspects made my overall experience less satisfactory and are areas where the gym could improve to enhance service quality.

Positive experience: Nice gym. Needs three things, though: 1- Better curl barbell set 2- Redirection of AC vents. They're currently directed on some machines or pathways in the gym where the cold air flow hits bad on active sweating. 3-One more late working hour. I wish it closes at 11, instead of 10.

Positive experience: Fantastic gym I’ve been exercising here from the moment they’ve opened. One thing though. Please please fix your WI-FI!!!! Peoples like me needs to listening their own music and the only place I have connection is the beginning of the gym… After that I can’t listen my music, my mood is ruined and I can make my proper workout… Your wi - fi is absolutely always slow and without any connection… It’s a big issue not only for me. That’s why I’m giving you 4 stars ⭐️

Positive experience: It’s a good affordable gym. Minus a star as they stopped offering Zumba classes or much dance fitness in general. Also their WiFi sucks. Phone signal is awful on Vodafone but great on O2

Positive experience: Well, I certainly haven't been to my own gym for over 4 months let alone here. Can't comment on this.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym, lots of equipment decent variation of weights can get a very solid workout done with little issue getting on a piece of equipment. Only issue is weights being a bit all over the place but all you have to do is look a bit. Pretty busy around 4-6 o’clock so any time before or after is perfect.

Fantastic experience: Gave it five stars, I was just passing but it looked good if you're a fitness fanatic.

Positive experience: No culture of putting away weights is propagated by the staff.

Fantastic experience: We went a couple of times whilst visiting family. Blade was very friendly and helpful, explaining the layout of the gym and where to go for what we needed. I wish we had a JD gym near us, the facilities they have are great and there was always plenty free to choose from. Highly recommend this gym and the staff that work there. Thank you!

Positive experience: Gym is fine,not enough cleaning stations therefore people are not encouraged to clean the machines after use.

Negative experience: Far to many 14&15yr old attend this gym therefor I won't be returning.

Positive experience: Great gym. Only issue is the opening hours are quite restricted.

Positive experience: Couldn't understand a word the spin class instructor said. Just a raised-voice racket alongside the music. Rest of the class seemed to feel the same. No thought given to the audio settings for his mic, to deliver of clear instructions nor to the group's understandings. No worries though, sweated like a pig, which was the objective.

Negative experience: Very bad, no proper equipment, very less machines, suffocating area with no proper ventilation and not good trainers. Fitness trainer are themselves not fit.

Positive experience: Been coming here for nearly 2 weeks since my old gym Energie Fitness shut down. Its a great gym. Its modern, spacious, secluded. Only thing is if they included a mens gym as I find working out next to those who insist on slamming and dropping their weights down aggressively a pain. Which leads me onto my next niggle, I've been moaned at about the rules of the gym, yet the staff seem to have no issue with people slamming and dropping their weights down aggressively, so much for HeAlTh AnD sAfEtY...

Negative experience: It's a nice gym with good facilities, but classes are cancelled so often because of a lack of instructors. It's frustrating when there is no system to inform members when classes aren't happening. Very tempted to find another gym

Fantastic experience: I have really enjoyed the gym with 2.5hrs free parking it's been very useful also alot of equipment.

Negative experience: Great gym and facilities however the app is only useful for getting in and out of the gym. It doesn't track my visits like the Pure Gym app.

Positive experience: It's a good gym but I don't like the funny looks I'm getting.

Fantastic experience: Just started here 2 days ago and for now I'm really enjoying the vibe. Not too crowded and the staff are a delight to speak with, they can assist you anyway they can and put your details forward to an indie p.t during covid and then work a price from there. The locker rooms are very simple and I like it that way.

Negative experience: The way the main company treat members let's down this gym. Staff here have been helpful, friendly and it's not intimidating for people who are not regular gym users. But try cancelling your membership and it's a whole different thing. Because it's not this gym that deals with it rather it's the corporate bit I would say avoid joining. Its the most unhelpful company who do not adhere to good communication and customer relations. Cancelled membership beginning of September, after paying my DD. Got an email saying everything was fine, membership cancelled, no further payments required. 3 weeks later I'm getting emails saying Harlands have noted I've cancelled my DD and I'm going to incur costs if I don't restart. What a joke I was on the rolling monthly membership where you are meant to be free to cancel at any point. Can't speak to anyone on the telephone at Harlands and they don't reply to emails.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoyed training here away from my usual training space. The range of equipment on offer is fantastic. It's a big space, it's well lit and it has a great environment. The signing up process was simple enough and though I have now finished my membership due to time restraints, the cancellation process was super simple too and very easy too.

Negative experience: I joined this gym due to it being close by and wanted to try improve my current health conditions. Upon joining I received a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, therefore I actually can’t utilise a lot of the equipment at the gym as it causes me too much pain, so I have been advised by my specialist to choose a different form of light exercise. Anyway... after I was diagnosed I called Xercise for less, Dundee branch to explain my situation and asked to cancel my membership. I was advised by an employee that this was fine and was an easy process to cancel and could do so over the phone...... which I then assumed cancellation was completed. After a short time went by I started reviewing emails saying that I haven’t adhered to my contract and haven’t paid up. So I obviously couldn’t understand what was happening after being informed by an EMPLOYEE my membership was cancelled without any incurring fees, due to medical reasons. I tried contacting many times about this and telling them I do not accept the debt and will not pay etc. Why would someone pay for something they haven’t used or cannot use?? All I have revived back is I am owe them £237.47!!! Are you actually kidding??? I haven’t used their gym or any other Xercise for less gym and they now want £237.47?? I will add, this amount is from first payment of £19.99 in December 2018 to now! Short time to incur that amount! I don’t have a clue how to resolve this, so I have contacted the branch manager in hopes they can help. If all else fails, il have to go to citizens advise. I think it’s outrageous that they can charge so much for absolutely nothing and it being no fault of my own!! I guess on some part I should of read through terms of contract properly, but also being misinformed by staff resulted in this amount of debt! I would stay clear of this company!

Fantastic experience: Joined the gym last week and the staff made me feel very welcome had a one hour lesson with Callum who was excellent

Positive experience: Good facilities and wide open spaces but didn't join due to staff being unorganized, most staff there weren't trained and in-gym staff were very uncommon to find at times. One thing was said on the phone and then when I went in to sign up they changed the conversation completely. Good quality of equipment, not very good quality of staff. If the staff had more of a professional outlook, this gym could have a lot more potential than it should.

Negative experience: Abaslutley awful equipment is confusing to use staff are bad at explaining things and helpingy you lose the weight worst opening times in the city and don't tell you that you enter a 12 month contract (Edit I signed up with a friend who was also not told about this idiotic lying staff who will say anything to get you to sign up)
