Welcome to Olympia, the premier leisure swimming facility in Dundee! Our center offers a variety of exciting water activities that guarantee fun for the whole family, including a massive swimming pool, children's slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, and diving boards. The facilities are designed to cater to all ages, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their time here.

Highlights of Olympia:

  • Friendly and helpful staff who ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Spotlessly clean facilities, including the swimming pool and changing areas.
  • Great value for money with competitive pricing on family tickets.
  • A wonderful selection of pools and slides that are sure to entertain both kids and adults.
  • Convenient location with easy access via public transport and parking nearby.

While most visitors have celebrated their experiences, there have been a few concerns. Some users reported that not all showers and hair dryers were functioning. Moreover, issues with overcrowding on weekends, and the temporary closure of certain attractions have been noted. However, the overall feedback paints a picture of a well-loved facility that continues to improve and adapt.

We invite you to visit Olympia for a delightful day of family fun, relaxation, and swimming excellence!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, really clean swimming pool and other areas. Reasonable price. Fun for the whole family. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Amazing swimming and water activity place. Children's slides, wave pool, lazy river, diving boards... even a 50m swimming pool

Andrew Cumming 4 months ago

Positive experience: First time swimming here and definitely won’t be our last! The swimming pool has a variety of different areas you can go to and is huge in size! You are given a colour when you enter to change at and when it’s called it’s your time to leave (ideal when you’ve got kids as they can’t argue they don’t want to leave) Kids pool is really good, nothing like that where we live! Only let down was there a few showers not working and same with the hair dryers but that’s not the reason you go to the pool so can’t really complain!

Fantastic experience: Amazing family friendly pool and great value for money

Hannah Iannelli 5 months ago

Positive experience: Lovely pool with great slides. They do sessions although this wasn't told to me or described on the website. Also it was a shame that the cafe wasn't open. Was kept clean though with plenty of cubical and family changes

Chris Bonsor 5 months ago

Fantastic experience: An outstanding swimming pool, well maintained, clean and a great set of flumes as well as rapids and a wave machine. The best pool I have been to in Scotland since the Magnum in Irvine and I have been to the Time Capsule. This place is much cleaner and better in price.

Brian Vicary 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: This was our first visit, and it won't be our last. We prefer lane swimming, but when we arrived there was only the leisure pool available. The lanes pool did open before we were leaving so we got 15 minutes in it. We'll adjust the time we visit to coincide with the lane swimming times. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the whole place was very clean. It was a very pleasant experience.

Lauren Mika 6 months ago

Negative experience: I went swimming 3 weeks ago and haven’t been able to hear at all out my left ear since I was there and my ear is very very sore. I am very mad at this and u have a dirty musty pool and it’s needing done up again.

David Hallett 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: We visited the swimming pools a lot over a two week holiday. It’s a great facility for the city. The different pools and slides are great for children. It’s very good value. It gets very busy on weekends. Highly recommend.

Scott Reilly 6 months ago

Positive experience: Miss the Old Olympia, the showers are better but the Changing Rooms are always manky. The pools are adequate but the venue is very small, when busy hardly any space to move. Keeps my Daughter entertained enough though.

Caleb Healy 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: Best water park ever in Scotland

Graeme Watt 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: Great fun..spotlessly clean, amazing value (£20 family ticket for 5 of us)..flumes are brilliant..

theraging scots 6 months ago

Positive experience: Plenty park altho if your spending the day in Dundee I'd maybe look somewhere else as it can be pricey but it is multi story, decent size family changing rooms, wave machine is noisey and did scare some younger childelren like my son but it was fun to see, flumes I'd recommend as there is 4 to pick from, didn't go on dive boards but looked fun, kids pool overall is small but a decent depth altho the kids shoot water blaster is a bit cold and a bit fast at coming out. There is lane swimming for anyone that wants to do lengths and a decwnt virweing area whwre peolel can sit, cafe is closed for unknown reason Overall it was an okay day out

Vanessa C 6 months ago

Negative experience: Nice pool, warm water and decent showers and changing rooms. But two visits over the summer holidays and both times the flumes were not working which made it boring and poor value for money. Won’t be back.

Heather Waters 6 months ago

Fantastic experience: Such good fun! Everything in the pool was great. Slides, waves, bubbles, rapids, spraying water. We will definitely be going again when we're back in Scotland! Loads of staff everywhere too, which is great

Positive experience: Friendly man at reception so felt inviting. The pools were great and my children had fun and the flumes were fun also. Some of the showers weren't working and didn't like the band system. But over all was good . I will be back

Matthew Prevost 7 months ago

Fantastic experience: Best place to go swimming

Maurice Mechan 7 months ago

Positive experience: We had a fun visit but really, being able to walk in off the street in your shoes, straight into the wet changing rooms is gross beyond words. Who came up with that? Hygiene didn’t feel like a priority here..

Hazel Short 7 months ago

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool for all ages!! Nice and warm too which is a must for my raynauds

Tino V 7 months ago

Fantastic experience: Great fun. Wish I went here twice instead of science museum

Gav Riddell 8 months ago

Ritchie Mclean 8 months ago

Positive experience: Nice enough pool and flumes. Health and safety has gone mad though soon you won't be allowed to swim. Just bob up and down

nathanael scott 8 months ago

Negative experience: Some rudely mannered worker today told me and my partner to leave rudely as it was closing time but in a very rude manner telling us to F off etc, I fully understand that she doesn’t want to be kept waiting but this was all a shock because we hadn’t even provoked her and she completely blew up at us making my partner very upset and ruined her day. Hope this brat gets hit with karma one day as there was absolutely no need to speak to us like that and there are more polite ways to communicate your frustration. Worker description: Female Dark brown hair Tanned 5’6 roughly We went there on Sunday 30th June I’m really not happy with this and hope they get a good telling on how to treat people especially when they are working in a social job. Hope this gets back to a manger or boss of some sort. Apart from this one woman all the staff are very nice and helpful. Giving cheery smiles and small conversations.

Fantastic experience: Perfect place for kids .almost going every weekend with my kids. They love it

Elizabeth Garnham 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: Great facilities, place was relativity clean throughout. Visited at "off-peak" swimming time, staff explained what this was and where helpful. Would recommend and will be back at "peak-time" for full swim experience.

Ralph Raji 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: Very good quality swimming pools

Christopher Aldridge 9 months ago

Positive experience: Well heated. Good full-size olympic pool. Good facilities and changing space. Lost a star because the ceiling doesn't line up with the pool lanes so backstroke is more difficult.

Дарина Ашрафьян 9 months ago

Negative experience: The level of security is simply disgusting, there is such a large traffic of guests, and yet they cannot allocate one employee who will constantly monitor the area for the little ones, very large children push the kids and literally ignore the rules. This is a pool, this is water, one of the employees is simply obliged keep the babies in order!!!

Gigi Daly 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: Such good value for money, plenty to do and clean. Good size, not overcrowded. Just surprised at how reasonably priced it is and went peak time

Ben Ainsworth 9 months ago

Fantastic experience: Pay £20 monthly for off peak. Well worth it. Staff friendly

Scott Devine 10 months ago

Negative experience: I have been using this gym/pool for a few months now and generally think it is good value for money. However I do have one issue that is ruining the overall experience- when I go swimming there is one life guard on who is always (and I mean always!) biting his nails while on duty at the pool. He bites he nails and I can see him dropping them at the poolside- quite frankly this is poor hygiene and a member of management NEEDS to speak to this individual ASAP. If this is resolved I would be changing to a 5 star review!

x_scotchbeef _x 10 months ago

Fantastic experience: We rolled up last Saturday and although we didn't have a booking, they were very kind to let my daughter and I in for a swim. Staff are always friendly and life guards are very switched on. Always great fun to go to Olympia, facilities are well kept. Make sure if you want to go that you call in and make a booking (I think bookings are the way until June). Thank you Olympia team!

Robert Bryden 11 months ago

Fantastic experience: Like the new pools, and the gym is well equipped.

Jozef Blazo 1 year ago

Negative experience: The leisure and toddler pools are currently unavailable, absolutely shocking!!! after 3 years closure? disappointed !!!

Kara Black 1 year ago

Positive experience: This place is amazing it's incredibly fun I had a grate time last time I went but this time I drove an hour to find out everything but one pool was open, they put nothing on the website so definitely phone them I might as well of went to Cardenden

Kyle Matthew 1 year ago

Negative experience: Far to busy, very long queues, kids get very agitated, nowhere particularly to swim as the pool deep enough to swim was not available as this is where one of the flumes exits, and the main pool is far to busy and every 10 minutes has waves on so swimming not possible, not great for people who are not confident of there abilities.

Iain Brough 1 year ago

Positive experience: What am I paying a membership fee for if it shuts at half 5 on a weekend, or the pool is shut??? Lochee shut at 4 Harris shut at half 12

Dawid Kasiuba 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Relatively new facility, nice and clean, a lot of fun for kids.

Leonardo Sallesses 1 year ago

Positive experience: A nice place to enjoy water in family. Lot of fun: a pool with waves, one with rotating flux, one for diving from 3 hights, one for swimming and one for children. Plenty of water slides and games. Staff is super kind. The place is tidy and clean. Correct closets, lockers and bathroom. Short turns.

Stephanie Hughes 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Really good pools to either take your family or to train. There is a fully equipped gym on site and a cafe. Staff are friendly and helpful.

KATIE Gardinier 1 year ago

Positive experience: Very good, but VERY busy! Will definitely go back but hopefully at a quieter time, 3pm.on a wet Sunday afternoon.....of course it was going to be busy!

Joy McRae 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Really pleased this venue is open again. We had a great time today and will visit again soon.

Craig Downie 1 year ago

Positive experience: 2 years closed and not much changed. Chutes are worth a try along with a dive from the top platform

CM Dale 1 year ago

Positive experience: It’s a nice facility with friendly staff. The gym is good with modern equipment, I far prefer it to The Gym. The lack of Sauna and Steam Room does let it down however, particularly as it’s the councils flagship facility, leaving me considering alternatives.

Douglas Edwards 1 year ago

Negative experience: Old olympia was far better layout with their pools, this replacement was built in wrong location and falling to bits with "cost cutting" measures by various contractors after winning their contracts. On the ball clerk of works from council should have checked the materials, workmanship properly as they are meant to do on any project they are to be managing. The clerks of works from the original build should be sacked.

James Buckley 1 year ago

Negative experience: Let's start a loaded brown envelope collection for the corrupt Dundee city councillors in the hopes the brain-dead parasites will sort it out.

Michael Jhoomun 1 year ago

Negative experience: My experience comes from my inability to access, even 2+ years on & no guarentee when it will open, i can't help but think 'if' it will open back up - poor show

Kevin McMahon 1 year ago

Negative experience: Walked passed it. Still closed for swimming after 2 years. What a shambles. This has ruined swimming for a lot of young people. The council should be ashamed of themselves.

Roddy Mathieson 1 year ago

Negative experience: Bloody ridiculous that this has been closed. I want to try out my new dives. The triple rollover is my personal fave. Sort it out dundee city Council, like you sorted out my mother's assisted living flat in 2017. Bloody brilliant work with that one. She's still there and she loves it. Cheers

Malcolm 1 year ago

Negative experience: Disgrace been closed for over 2 years now. Cost over 30 million pounds tax payers money. Waste of money this place.

Naz 7 2 years ago

Negative experience: Absolute joke this was a brand new swimming and it’s been closed because it wasn’t built properly. Dundee city council at its best.

Colonel John McGregor Stewart 2 years ago

Fantastic experience: Our favourite pool in east of Scotland kids & adults love it !

Medina Ismail-zade 3 years ago

Negative experience: Terrible. Its closed without any further notice. But what is the most frustrating is that they stopped swimming lessons for kids and didn’t even give us opportunity to transfer to a different council pool in Dundee. 2 years on waiting list and then back to square one. If I need to wait for years again my son will need beginner lessons for adults not for kids!

Ollie 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Definitely one of the best pools in Scotland I live 2 hours away but it’s alway worth the drive with the amazing flumes and the diving boards which seem scary at first but are now my favourite. If u get a chance definitely give Olympia a visit

JEVGENIJA TEPLINA 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Spend good time with my family the daughter was very happy.

Amy Brown 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Great leisure session with access to toddler pool and waves. Session lasted 1hr. Changing rooms were clean and accessible. Went with children ranging in age from 1 to 7 and a great time had by all, highly recommended for kids and adults alike.

Greig D 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Me the wife and kids had a nice time, it was a shame the flumes and rapids weren't open tho. The staff were well organised and running a tight ship.

Jim Shaw 3 years ago

Negative experience: So let's get this right, yeh? The Gyms and Swimming Pools opened up on 26th April. But then what do we find at Olympia? You can use the swimming pool and the gym, but you can't have a shower. What scientific brainbox thought that one up? No showers BEFORE you go into the swimming pool is not Hygiene At Its Best by any stretch of the imagination. If the pool can only be opened up without showers, it would be better to keep it closed. The individual shower stations are at least a metre apart, so what's the problem? Who takes responsibility for these un-evidence based decisions and why are they still allowed to make them?

Liam Whitton 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: I live in Canada but my dad is from Scotland and we usually come here every summer ( Usually ) and it is a great facility. Love the system they have in place for admission

Becca 5 years ago

Positive experience: Easy access location in the city with public transport and parking close by. Always clean and plenty of helpful staff available. Cafe upstairs, wave pool, slides, play pool, toddler pool and lane swimming all available. Lockers and changing rooms perhaps a bit narrow

Kenny Beaton 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Fantastic swimming pool. Excellent staff. Great day out for me and my kids Thank you all

Neil Armstrong 5 years ago

Negative experience: Went for the chutes for my kids. . Good wave machine. Changing rooms are grubby and 2 of the 4 chutes not in operation hence the 2 stars

Robert J 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Fluuuuuuuuuuuumes are so much fun. Up there with the best swimming pools I've been to

Sarah Higgins 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Great pool, gym and adult classes! Toddler pool is always a great temperature. Plenty of adult classes to choose from. One of the best gyms ran by the council!

Suzanne Cowan 5 years ago

Positive experience: Changing facilities a little dates and in need of some work. Pool and flumes were fun with the kids. Good cafe up stairs with a good choice of snacks and drinks

Nathan Logie 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Great place to take small children and a good view area for people that don't swim

Angus Lindsay 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Amazing water slides, wave pool, rapid river and other fun activities for the kids!

Alan Ruiz 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Excellent parking facilities, great locker rooms (take a £coin), good choice of things to do whilst there from the choice of 4 flumes, rapids, wave pool, spring board and lane swimming. If you are going to give the yellow flume a go be prepared for the 4m drop into the diving pool at the end! It hurts unless you land properly so keep your arms tucked in across your chest! I speak from experience!!!

sara k 5 years ago

Positive experience: I’ve never seen a swimming pool where there would be NO FREE HAIRDRYERS or SOCKETS provided (only Dundee Leisure). So especially in winter please be mindful of that when coming to use this swimming pool. Also, if you think you’ll dry long hair with one coin of 20p then you’re wrong, the hairdryers are on timer. I think that especially for those who are members there should be some ways to dry hair for free? I think this is quite basic. The training pool itself is great though.

jeff besos 5 years ago

Negative experience: I recently indulged myself on a beans on toast from the greatest take away known as khan-tandoori but as i was in high spirits i felt a gurgle in my stomach i was going down the blue shoot i couldn't hold it in and shoot out the shoot but something new came with me it was remints of the beans on toast no one was there to clean it up and it tasted better than the chlorine infected water and sadly the boy agter me got a whole mouthful of the beans no one was there to clean it up so i tipped hium 50 euros to clean it the end

Fantastic experience: Great fun for the kids and the adults and that water slide , if you have been you will know if you haven't what you been doing, go

Sam Scott 5 years ago

Positive experience: No flumes or wave machine on before noon, but had the pool to ourselves and kids enjoyed themselves anyways so all good

Kamraan Majid 5 years ago

Positive experience: Nice new building with flumes, main swimming area and a small kids pool. Nice clean place with helpful staff. Things that are missing sauna, steam room and a jacuzzi. Good place to take kids.

Brian O Cinneide 5 years ago

Negative experience: A fab swimming poiiol, kids had a great time. Food was great and excellent value.

Ian Mitchell 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Fantastic facility, down to Dundee from Aberdeen with the family, went along with 11 year old daughter and her friend who had a great time. If on hols to Dundee and you have kids, it is worth a visit.

Gav 5 years ago

Negative experience: Olympia is a boring, small pool. Whoever designed it or signed off on the build has peas and chips every night because you would have to have no imagination to design something this claustrophobic. Perth swimming has a huge pool, lots of activities, a waterfall and never feels cramped. When Dundee had that as a benchmark, why did they go backwards? Missed opportunity, boring pool and the place struggles.

GD Vlogs 5 years ago

Positive experience: It's good place for Dundee, but one hour and half not enough time.

Peggy McRitchie 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: We can't rate the lifeguards & other staff highly enough. We had ten year old twins we were looking after. They went missing after their time was up in the pool & everyone helped to find them. The lifeguards were brilliant! The kids had sneaked back into the pool.I can't tell you how relieved my husband & I were when they were found. The pool is brilliant as well.

Graeme Paul Masson 5 years ago

Positive experience: My girls loved it. One flume was out but overall this pool was worth travelling that bit further for. Better than any pool in Fife

Jacob Carr 5 years ago

Positive experience: Staff almost seem bored but a great place for a swim, not too expensive for what you get, when schools are on holiday can be really busy, Top diving board and yellow floom are on a rota so don't go expecting to be doing everything.

olly searle 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: Came all the way from London to visit. What can I say. Staff were lovely, although very unhelpful. Slides were good, especially the green one which was closed. The practice pool was bright yellow in the slow lane and there was a creepy old man in the kids pool circling the whirl pool constantly. Other than that a great trip all round. Would recommend 10/10

Jolanta Litvina 5 years ago

Fantastic experience: We love olympia swimming pool. Have a good time with all family. Best wot I like is river around a bubble island.

Dave Webster 5 years ago

Negative experience: The Olympia - what happened?!? Firstly, I'll cover what was good. At £17.60 for 3 children and 2 adults for between 60-90 minutes (depends on when you join during a session) it does represent good value for money. And that's it. That is all I have that is good to say about this place. Now the bad. And there is a lot of it to cover. Firstly, the volume of changing cubicles did not appear to match the volume of people using them. I appreciate however it was the last Saturday of the school holidays where weather has turned rather poor, but the volume of lockers in use did not seem to be proportional to the number of shut doors. The "fun" pool is small to say the least. It might be better when it's quieter but with around 40-50 people in this section alone, it felt very cramped. It also has no real "play" space that would involve swimming. The training pool is not for splashing about it and the splash pool is too small to have a proper muck about in. It's maximum depth is 1.6m when meant during the waves, I could literally stay standing in the deep end without any issues. Switching to the river rapids, it's at a depth of 1.0m, about I think that number was used for its width and length too! It's narrow, short and dull. The dive pool shares the exit of the "cannonball" flume ride which had the diving boards cordoned off from use. Speaking of the flumes: the green one is still taped off with yellow & black hazard tape mentioned a few weeks ago by another visitor review. Standing in a lengthy queue for the 2 remaining ones (very few kids go on the yellow cannonball) the one thing you will notice is for a place that has not been open long, it is absolutely disgusting. Remember that yellow & black hazard tape I mentioned? It seems to be the all-in-1 repair tape too! It's all over the last step to the flumes platform, which is missing the grip. The platform itself looks like it had the flooring fitting by "have a go Jimmy", something I would have done to save myself a few quid on my bathroom floor. It's in a terrible, disgusting state. Looking at the structure itself, it's painted a bright and airy white, then covered by the dripping orange stain of rust. Seriously, I doubt this place will have the same longevity of the old Olympia pool building. If I had privately paid for this place to be built, I'd be getting to contractor that built it back in to make rectifications to it! I really cant help but imagine 20 years from now, people standing on that platform and it being in the news that it has collapsed. Truthfully, the Olympia is an embarrassment. It's general maintenance is awful and it's facilities whilst well priced are poor. Scotland is crying out for a really good indoor water park. Think Sandcastle in Blackpool or waterworld in stoke: Dundee could have had it to match it's V&A museum and other tourist grabbers, but it has sorely missed out on a great opportunity. I seriously recommend getting up at 4:30 in the morning & driving to Blackpool instead of coming here.

Positive experience: Great pool, 4 flumes, diving boards, mini splash area for tots, main swimming pool, rapids and wave machine. However green slide was closed. Boo. We’re told when we bought our tickets :( also weren’t told until we paid in that the swim session had already started so got only 1hr15 in the pool. Although we maybe only missed out on 15 mins. We LOVED the red flume with its music and disco lights. BRILLIANT

Fantastic experience: Fantastic swimming pools and very good fun. Great for all ages and the water slides are excellent
