Fantastic experience: Great Gym and really chilled! I'm not a gym person tbh but been going here now for around 6 weeks and got nothing but good things to say about the place. I only joined for health and well-being reasons and its really serving these purposes. It also has a good mix of peeps going for all different kinds of reasons/ results and definitely caters for everyone. Nice-one guys!

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym. Spacious and well layed out with a great free weights area. Friendly PTs and Managers are always visible and approachable. Clean throughout and everything in working order. This is the best Pure Gym I have visited by far!

Negative experience: Very cold most people have to wear hoodies or think tee shirts Vapping is allowed as many people do this ???.

Positive experience: Good gym. Think some of the TVs are broken or they're just saving money? Bit annoying when you're doing CV exercises and only one tv working. Big gym though so doesn't matter too much when it gets busier. Don't often see many members of staff to report anything. The cool down button on a treadmill I was using didn't work and I'd of reported it if I saw a member of staff but I never did, similarly I'd of asked about the other TVs. I know the gym isn't staffed 24 hours though, but I never see anyone walking around for welfare checks or anything. Must just be in an office or doing classes. Another gym member has asked me in the past if I know if there's any staff in the gym as he needed to speak with someone but I wasn't able to advise him. Only other criticism is the lack of any bench like seating. The gym has various places they could put some long bench stye seats for anyone just finished using a machine and catching their breath back. I often see people standing around talking whilst on machines not in use or people texting/on their phones but still on the machines. Can't help but think if there was some bench seating if people would free up the machines and take a 5 min sit down instead. Same for the weights area and people using the weights benches to sit down and text rather than use them for weights. Not as much room down there though as there is upstairs. Good price membership though, convenient location, big car park and well kitted out. They do have a male cleaner that cleans the ladies changing rooms too, which my wife found out the hard way as she came out the showers in just a towel with a guy standing there. Signage is in place on the doors to inform about it but I can understand this may put some women off from using the shower facilities so should probably mention. I guess there's a disabled shower on the ground floor if you wanted to be able to lock the door for complete privacy?

Negative experience: Please be careful before signing off PT sessions in this Gym as they will make you sign a fixed contract but then deliberately slow your progress so you can pay for more months.

Positive experience: Great gym. A lot of space and equipment. Great price, and friendly price. No complaints here. Machines could be updated a little though since some of them are rather very worn down.

Fantastic experience: A great spin class with Sydney this morning. Wouldn't have thought it was her first time teaching it as she handled it like a pro. Sydney gave good clear instructions and her positive attitude shone through!

Negative experience: If I could I would rate 0 stars puregym took my money and I have not got a single membership from here.they are money grabbing thieves that take your money and don't give anything in return

Negative experience: Absolutely freezing cold like an ice chamber. Why is the heating not on in the depths of winter. Smoke coming from my breath and the bars and equipment is like frozen to the touch. Sort it out

Positive experience: Decent enough gym, similar to most of the puregym centres. Clean, tidy, and most of the equipment in good condition. Can take a while for equipment to be repaired.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, grate equipment but absolutely great personal trainers. Shereen is a master at pushing you yo gind you limits and best. Jade's classes are hard work but great fun, thank you ladies for inspiring me x

Positive experience: Good range of equipment but for some reason there's close to 10 disabled spaces outside that NEVER get used for the gym. Get rid of them so the rest of us can park there

Negative experience: Poor gym this, stuck in the dark ages, same equipment, not moved with the times. No sled, minimal racks for such a huge place. Not to mention there are machines broken alllllll the time and it takes so long for them to be back in use. Very hard to get to do what you want in here due to not having enough of anything. It’s also grimy and not clean at all. It needs a full refurb and DEEP clean badly.

Positive experience: The prices are reasonable—various equipment. However, the odour of sweat in the main hall is awful. Also, the dumbells are very mixed and not in chronological order. Perhaps stickers with several weights on the racks would make a job. It's just a suggestion! :)

Positive experience: Basic but well equipped gym! No blue roll/spray or anyway of wiping down equipment before/after your workout! They were removed after Covid and never returned despite monthly fee increase to cover it! Generally well maintained!

Positive experience: Quite a big gym for a pure gym. I only go in the day or evening and try to avoid peak times as it gets very busy. Equipment decent, snd classes pretty good.

Positive experience: I've been going here for a while, and i think it is at the bottom of my puregyms list. Some of the machines that i wanted to use were out of order. It is a task to find the weights as they are all over the place. This place can be better. I just need a little bit more care.

Negative experience: There is no hygiene to clean the equipment after you’ve used. There is no staff on the weekend. When a machine is broken it takes ages to be repaired. In men toilet there is no soap.

Positive experience: Great gym, good price at £17.99 a month, 24/7 access, and lots of classes. Plenty of parking. But some of the machines are getting old and could do with an upgrade.

Positive experience: Classes are fun and push you to do your best without feeling forced. Relaxed gym with plenty of aperatus.

Fantastic experience: Sam the personal trainer makes going to the gym the first time really comfortable. Really informative and knowledgeable.

Positive experience: This gym is way better than Debdale PureGym. The changing rooms are clean, the equipments are in good condition. However, it still needs to much improvements. As the energy costs have increased they started to turn off their Tv screens all the time. They closed the small door outside the gym because their is no cctv covering that area. Which made the distance longer for people who walk to the gym. The cleaning sprays are empty most of the times. They keep increasing their membership prices but do not make any improvements for their members.

Negative experience: Recently rejoined after leaving Everlast gym, which in comparison has better shower and atmosphere. The Denton gym free weight area is constantly cold and has been for years. The lack of improved to the showers and equipment is sadly disappointing. Especially, when they had new work done in the men's showers. The places looks exactly the same...not sure what improved was made, even though the gents showers weren't closed for weeks. They have had the same equipment last time I went and they have been not well maintained. the cable multi machine there is only one of them and isn't functioning properly. The manager their is great, very friendly and delivers a great class. Pure Gym is not keeping up with it's competitors, such as Gym Group or Everlast ...

Negative experience: What is going on with this gym? Why are you not fixing or maintaining, just is an accident waiting happen

Positive experience: Easy access, good quality equipment, clean and tidy environment. Loads of parking spaces. I find the app really useful too.

Negative experience: the gym is great but the heating needs to be sorted went to gym and the cold was so unbearable had to leave can we sort it out please honestly outside was warmer than the gym !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Great gym, however only have cctv covering 3 parking spaces roght at the front - 3 reports of stolen catalytic converters/cars broken in to in the past fortnight. Shame they cant cover the full car park. Wont be returning. - in response to the reply, spoke to the manager on the day and was told "we don't have cctv covering that area, nothing we can do I'm afraid"

Negative experience: Couldn't get in with barcode 3 times joined it never saw inside no numbers to contact anyone useless

Positive experience: good equipment -open 24 hours and equipment well maintained. Only problem which keeps on reoccurring time after time- is the cleaning towels for the equipment and disinfectant are always empty

Fantastic experience: Pure gym denton is well run, it has a friendly atmosphere and great staff.

Negative experience: Freezing cold without wearing a fleece! Also they need to double most machines! You need to queue to use them especially at peak times. Nearly impossible for people who follow a specific training program with specific machines to use them. You need to enrich it and turn the air conditioning down.

Negative experience: it's always busy even early in the morning (0600). Not enough equipment to go around people queuing for kit.

Negative experience: Joined in October, left within 14 Days was FREEZING COLD in 99 % of gym- Heaters are OFF (except in a tiny 3m x 10m room next to entrance). only had 2 Gymballs- both almost Flat.. asked P.T staff to inflate - checked everyday for 1 week.. job never got done. Gym Machines - most had weight stickers missing so no idea how much weight being lifted. RUSTED weight plates, Machines need Oiling / servicing.

Fantastic experience: Can get a bit busy at peak times where it gets a bit manic with wait times for equipment. It can be a very relaxed environment when quieter, I have never felt uncomfortable working out here at any time of day, I sometimes work out anytime from midnight well into 2/3am and it's nice and quiet with a few others or a cleaner around. Staff are always friendly and are there to offer any help or advice.

Positive experience: I like it, feels like I'm at home when going to train. People are nice and minding their own business, so beginner's are more than welcomed to start their fitness journey here (we all know how people can be, judging, laughing and giggling at you but you won't see any of this childish behaviour here I promise you that) Overall very satisfied, but (yes I have couple of buts) would be nice to see more equipment, and I'm not sure why one of PureGym staff members thought that it's good idea to start tapping my shoulder when I was in the middle of doing 300kg on leg press, asking me how many reps I've got left (let me repeat myself - I was literally in the middle of this push) ‍♂️ ‍♂️

Fantastic experience: I go at 1am and the place is always clean and open enough to go get a good work out. You need a code to get in or use the app to scan, there's a room to a left with some equipment in (at the entrance) but I dunno if you can use it or not. Overall was a great gym 5 years ago and it's still great now.

Negative experience: Not a bad gym good kit.. However the staff are rude. And not welcoming at all. Yes I understand with social distancing and rules. However I was in with my wife and were training together and upstairs where the designated boxes are marked out on the floor we wanted to finish our workout with lying down crunches. There was a PT there sat on his phone apparently waiting for his client. He could've moved for us so we can get a quick ab workout which we all know dosent take long especially when ur finishing off. Instead, not an excuse me, how li g will u be.. In an abrupt manner.. He said u can't train even if ur in the same household. I mean the whole gym everywhere u looked there was no social distancing especially downstairs at the free weight section. We're on wekkly passes to try out to see if we will be going ahead with joining. But after speaking with other pure members they are saying nearly all the staff are the same. Such a shame really. No community feel about it all and I would call it friendly.. Its clean nevertheless. Staff need to understand were not here to messing around we want to workout. And if a PT is training the client and is not abiding by the rules ie the marked boxes.. And clearly they aren't from the same household then why is it a problem for us. Me and my wife always train together always have done. Alot of us need the encouragement and surely as pt's they should know this as this is the name of the game when coaching. Such arrogance it offends me. Shame as me and the wife were saying befire the incident were gnna join and leave our old gym.. Arhh well no harm done. U guys have lost 2 customs. ****** replying to your response ******* Thankyou for responding and like I said I totally understand as a business myself the social distancing amnay other rules we as a nation have to follow but the confusing things is although you are trying to make a valid point. On all 33 days I have been at your gym PT's have been coaching their clients up close in the "box" and spotting. Please view your camera footages from today, Tuesday and Monday. I sure you will find many moments and incidents where your staff are not abiding by the rules. Hence why the message isn't getting across.The saying goes "you must practise what you preach" I'm not havign a go I'm sure you can understand my frustration due to the conflicting messages being opposed by the staff. I hope you take this criticism as an eye opener. It's merely pointing out confusion and the rude manner of this certain individual PT from Tuesday. Thankyou again

Fantastic experience: It's so cool place to do your daily workout, they have brought a lot of changes because Covid-19, specially cleaning and social distancing and De-cleaning every night. Thanks for making us the Gym Save.

Positive experience: excellent gym and price, just a shame about the people who use it and the regular locker thefts

Negative experience: the running machines were dirty, very dark where the main gym area is not enough pegs for the machines the key pad to get in is so low if your 2ft 5" your ok will not be going back.

Positive experience: Too many of the cardio bikes missing or in need of some service (peddles wobbly, whole bike rocks). Gents changing room always too cold, showers not cleaned regularly enough.
