Negative experience: Gym is oversubscribed. Machines and facilities aren't maintained. Constantly increase membership price. Music during classes is like being in the center of the Ukraine war. Only good thing it's got going is the cheapest membership and 24/7 opening hours (except when they shut and don't tell anyone except for a scribble on A4 paper stuck to the window.

Negative experience: WIFI is very slow and phone reception is very weak. Try to avoid it.

Negative experience: It is October and there is still no hot water in the shower. Sometimes it could be cleaned...

Fantastic experience: Good place to be for your workout

Positive experience: Does what it says on the tin. Was fairly quiet on Saturday afternoon. Bring a friend wasn't working so had to pay for the day which was a bit annoying. Hand dryer was a state and dried up piss was on the floor indicating it hadn't been cleaned in a while. But other than that the overall gym was good and an alright size. The one closet to me is bigger and cheaper and more clean but this one is parked next to a travelodge on and industrial area so sort of reflect the area. Didn't see any staff the whole time I was in there. Not use to this.

Negative experience: Some of the treadmills are just dangerous. Halfway through my run, the belt screetched/slipped and caused me to fall off. I moved to a different treadmill and it was extremely noisy and sounded like it might also be loose. Equipment needs to be refreshed, sad and tired gym in a sad location

Fantastic experience: A good array of equipment and clean premises, Quiet (at certain times) and friendly staff

Negative experience: Gyms okay, could do with being a bit cleaner , the showers are COLD!!! So frustrating!!!! Or maybe I just need to man up lol either way I hate a cold shower after a workout.

Negative experience: Poor poor gym. There is no etiquette in this place. Gym staff rarely tidy the place and barely any members put away their kit. The wipe stations are barely usable and the shower room might as well be in middle of Salisbury plain with how clean it is. I tried it to see what it’s like, cheap membership leans towards many cheap members who just don’t really understand or care about how a gym works. Yea please do continue to sit on the machines and text

Positive experience: I'd love to give this 5 star but unfortunately I can't do that. The hygiene in this place is disappointing. Many people have complained but nothing gets done. I've been ill 3x in 1 month. It's not a safe environment for people especially the elderly. Other than the hygiene its a great place with loads of equipment suitable for all. Loads of parking as well. It sits right next to a travel lodge. Also have a Costa near by and a beautiful pub.

Negative experience: There aren't enough parking spaces. I always have to wait 5-10 minutes in the car park until a space becomes available.

Negative experience: Finished here after a morning work out and found this on the floor don't know if it's someone's sweat after a class or water but a puddle also place left untidy

Positive experience: Nicely equipped and clean gym. But always fairly busy and showers are always cold sadly.

Positive experience: It's a PureGym. The showers could be better, but it's clean the staff are great

Positive experience: I can recommend this as a well equipped gym with membership very reasonably priced and flexible.

Negative experience: Worst gym ever. No hot water for 3 months. Come on. Is freezing outside.

Negative experience: Turned up here at 0400 to see a sign that the gym won't open until 0600 due to CCTV fault. Told it would be fixed, wait around till 0600 get told it shpuld be fixed today and be ok tomorrow. Turn up at 0400 again to the same message. There should be a way of informing this on the app. It takes a lot of motivation to get here for 0400 to get my workout in before busy days. Complete waste of my time

Positive experience: Good gym but cold showers all the time

Positive experience: Decent gym, but such a shame there is no windows to look out or screens so you end up staring at walls all the time which is a bit of a killer.

Positive experience: Nice range of equipment that's kept in good condition. I like that it's spread across two floors. You don't feel like you're in the pocket of the person next to you. A few more benches might be nice as they fill up fast, but I think that's likely to happen no matter how many there are. There's a varied array of classes throughout the day. But does the music have to be so loud? It's a fitness class, not a night out. The instructors use microphones, but you still can't hear what they're saying. Fine, if you know what you're doing... but not so good if you're a newbie. Personally, I don't enjoy the classes. There's no life to them. I love classes where you exercise to the music... here you just work out with it. Despite that, I like this gym. Good equipment, open whenever you want, and a great price. The showers could be a bit better.

Fantastic experience: My first time today, I was really apprehensive, but I went in, didnt feel watched, used the treadmill and the bike and left without feeling judged. Nice place Looking forward to my next visit hopefully another good one

Fantastic experience: Great gym and great kit. I have never had any problems here, I go 5+ times a week. Only downsides would be hopefully one day the showers will be fixed as can be chilly and more parking spaces would be ideal. Harry is the best trainer and he has amazing spin classes unlike any I have ever done. Highly enjoy!

Fantastic experience: Great Gym and the staff are exceptionally helpful had an injury to the lower back and both members of staff one called George and the other I didn’t quite catch were superb and massively appreciate the support and kindness shown big props would 100% reccomend this place and environment

Fantastic experience: ALL classes Leah runs are fantastic, they are always different and she NEVER just rolls out a programme from a previous week. Always fun and Leah is exceptionally knowledgeable and personable! Wouldn’t work out without her, an asset to PureGym Andover. Keep up the fantastic work Leah

Negative experience: Good that its open 24 hours, but its hot as hell in the place. The air con doesnt appear to work between 4am and 6am, cleaning towels run out and dont get replaced for days, cleaning fluid pots are often empty, drinks dispenser often runs out of juices. Cleaning appears to be very low on the list of priorities, and I have seen same the same large visible lump of dirt on the stairs for months now. Aside from that, a good selection of machines, and its a shame as it has the scope to be a great gym, and im now considering moving elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic place for workout, take all the stress out, very friendly instructors.

Positive experience: It’s a nice gym, everyone is friendly but always SO hot and recently there have been so many issues with the paper towels constantly running out, sometimes for days so there isn’t a way of cleaning machines after use. Occasionally they put out one communal cloth for people to use which is gross.

Negative experience: The gym itself is okay, far too small for the amount of people that attend though, and my biggest issue is just how disgusting the men's changing rooms are. Every single time I go to this gym, without failure, the whole changing room reeks of urine, every surface looks like its never been cleaned and all the lockers have something festering in them. Its so off putting that I'm no longer going to be coming to this gym until I hear somethings being done about the changing rooms. Edit* Having left it for 4 months, coming back I was glad to see the cleaning has improved, but the equipment has been so neglected, I'm definitely not going to be trying this gym again.

Positive experience: Friendly gym. Can get very busy, but equipment good and fine if you pick your times carefully

Fantastic experience: Good gym

Positive experience: The gym is well equipped and has a large range of equipment, including 14+ treadmills. You can exercise without feeling claustrophobic and the gym is kept at a good temperature through air conditioning. Added benefit is that the gym is 24 hours so you can get your 5 am gains. I have only rated this gym 3/5 for the following reasons: 1. There doesn’t seem to be any enforcement of rules to put the weights away and there is no real storage system for the plates; they are just piled up on the floor and you have to spend ages either de-racking the machine before use or struggle to find the plates you want. 2. I don’t really see any evidence of preventative maintenance on any of the equipment; the sanitation stations have squirt pumps that don’t work, the leg extension machine pad is worn and has been replaced with a yoga mat wrapped around the metal bar, the eye holes on the cable machines have a dangerous amount of bruising on them (over 40% bruising on some of them), etc. I get the feeling that this gym will eventually fall apart due to lack of maintenance or someone will get hurt from a cable machine giving out, unless planned preventative maintenance is established.

Fantastic experience: 24 lots of equipments and spacious

Negative experience: Oversubscribed, to the extent that the machines are barely free. Classes dominate the gym whenever they are on with extremely loud music. They have taken to using banners to block off areas of the gym for just two or three people to be trained. I pay the same price and I am kicked out of an area big enough for far more people. Cones have now gone up in the car park to stop people parking in certain areas, which Is always full on weekdays, because they have chosen to grab cash rather than focus on the gym experience. So good luck parking. Machines can be broken for weeks at a time and the "safe gym" motto means nothing when they can't be bothered to refill the antibac. But yes, please do increase my membership by £2 because... Well, you just can.

Positive experience: Great facilities. Pretty much all the different types of machines, free weights and squat racks , kettle bells ect. I went Saturday morning and it was pretty busy. If you are happy to work in with people it’s fine but you will have to wait during peak times or adapt your workout. Classes looked good.

Positive experience: Good place to work out . No one bothers you you just go in and start working out . 3 stars because everytime the equipment breaks they take time to fix it. In Andover the stair stepper machine is always out of order

Negative experience: Car keys and house keys stolen from a padlocked locker. Customer service absolutely appalling.

Fantastic experience: Fairly Decent gym, been a member just shortly over a year, most of the equipment works most of the time. Any issues that arise are normally dealt with pretty swiftly. The music is regularly updated so you don't hear the same tracks for too long. The Weights area can get busy and you do get some lazy members who don't return their Weights correctly or not at all, but there's not alot you can do about that. When it is quieter you can see the gym staff tidying up and some will even come and ask how you are and give advice if needed. You can find yourself waiting around from time to time for equipment to become free but that's just the nature of the beast. It's popular for a reason. All in all Puregym is a cheap, affordable way to stay/get fit and I doubt you'll find the same quality for the same price anywhere else.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. There are not enough stairmaster machine, only two of them always busy or broken... ridiculous. No phone signal at all, the wifi is crowded that is why never ever working. Most used machines are broken, most used (smaller) weights never available. Not even in busy times (very early morning etc.) Paying full membership for half of the service.. not great at all.

Fantastic experience: Great gym and the best fact is it's 24hrs.

Positive experience: Would have given one star for my review for the awful smell in the gym today 1pm, 22Aug2022 but I had a great 1:1 PT session with Ash Tapps. I would have walked right out again if I didn't have a PT session. Please fix this.

Positive experience: Standard Pure gym gym but for the amount of traffic it sees it can be quite busy unless you go in the silly hours

Positive experience: Standard gym. When classes are on the music is extremely loud and it is overwhelming, even if you have headphones in, maybe could of done with its own room for classes. One of the worse things I have seen is when they taken classes in the middle of the gym, if you have already been there working out for some time, they will come and ask you too move, without a sign warning. A bit of a pet hate... Overall, the gym is standard. Gym is clean. Gym staff are friendly.

Negative experience: No cellular network coverage, wifi is a joke, often no hot water. Proffesional gym equipment.

Positive experience: Decent gym. - staff need to step up a bit more instead of sat at the welcome podium oogling the women. Aside from this, Only 3 negatives. 1. The men's bathroom is absolutely honking. I think the cleaner either died or they have a medical condition so they don't realise how bad it smells. (I can't speak for the ladies bathroom, that would be weird) 2. The equipment cleaning spray stations never work... Although I do enjoy the fun game of cleaning spray roulette, trying to find the one outlet that provides enough moisture to kind of wipe down machines. 3. They have a ghost. I know this because the machines keep being moved, but weirdly they are getting more and more bunched together, so you have to be awkwardly close to each other ... Or they might just be sentient, lonely, and moving on their own to form closer bonds, I'm not sure ‍♂️ Oh, I forgot... Bonus 4. The dumbbells are never racked in size order... Do you workout first thing in the morning? Want to move from a 24kg to a 32kg, then dropset to 20kg... No problem, you'll find all of them side by side in the racks

Fantastic experience: I'm gonna give it a 5 stars as its my local gym and I go everyday. Loads of equipment and benches, the staff seem pretty friendly. A mix of experienced and novice people in the gym. It's very true it doesn't matter what level your at your welcome at pure gym. Things I would love to see at this pure gym. More leg machines. I.e hack squat machine would be awesome, and maybe some more hamstring curling machines. I know you have the prone curler but what about sitting curler and standing single leg curler. On and another leg press for the free weights area. Also it may be silly but the mirror behind the dumbbells is too high. It really should be brought down a foot or 2. If your on a bench you can't see anything unless your doing shoulder press. Still live there so 5 stars

Negative experience: The gym floor is generally quite good for it’s price point and for a commercial gym. Good variety of equipment and the majority of staff are good people. However, the cleanliness of the shower and toilet facilities are disgusting! Myself and a few members have raised this to management both in person and via their social media platforms yet no pro active response so I wanted to see if this was just the Andover gym or if cleaners are just non existent at all Pure gyms

Positive experience: Everything is great, now Wi-Fi also good.

Positive experience: Good functional gym could do with a bigger floor space so it's not cramped and few more leg machines

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out have been a member for a long time. They have an excellent range of machines to use as well as a large studio for all sorts of different classes. They have a dedicated area for spin classes too. The free weight area is one of the best I have seen in a gym outside of London so top marks there as well. And finally the staff, they are all really friendly and very approachable if you have any questions about any of the equipment or just for some tips on a new workout they are all glad to help.

Positive experience: you have no signal on the phone but you can connect to a network a bit hard otherwise everything is like the gym

Positive experience: People sitting on equipment on their phones or just chatting every visit, but today a guy just pushed his way to a piece of equipment stating that he saw it first , then stayed on it for a ridiculous amount of time Just wish that people wouldn't be so selfish!

Positive experience: Modern, clean and tidy. Easy to access as it's open 24/7 and is never too busy to get on what you want other than during core busy hours which is expected. Plenty of equipment to suit all goals. Only negatives are that the PT's very much feel like they are only available to help those that are paying for a session with them, which is kind of understandable l. There are also a couple of bits of equipment missing that would be a good edition. Well priced and probably a 4 1/2 star!

Fantastic experience: The pure gym chain is consistent all round. If you've been to one you'll know them all. Cleaning stations, all the equipment, matted areas and free weights. Clean changing rooms and easy parking at Andover.

Positive experience: Showers are freezing, especially at weekends. I've raised this a few times and have been told they just take a while to heat up. Gave up after 15 mins tonight! Otherwise nice friendly gym. Busy but reasonable given the price.

Fantastic experience: Great place to train and the people who work there are very kind and helpful been going there for a while now and have never had any to complain about keep up the good work would definitely reckon to a friend.

Positive experience: It looks bigger that it actually is and it gets super busy from 5-7pm, however if you visit in an off-peak time it's a very good gym and it has everything you need.

Positive experience: Good range of decent equipment But overall ambience is lacking - - Turn the cardio machines away from blank walls - Add mirrors, TV’s to look at - Install windows - Natural daylight is important

Fantastic experience: Nice gym. Good amount of equipment. Extra equipment upstairs. Large free weights room. Changing rooms are large with showers. Can get busy in the evening around 5/6. So parking can be busy. Most quite around 7 to 13 it seems. Also disabled access if need.

Positive experience: Lovely but spoiled by all the litter.

Positive experience: Spacious gym, lots of equipment. Don't usually have too long a wait for equipment but there could be more leg machines. Majority of staff are friendly, polite and welcoming with one or two being pretty useless and aloof.

Fantastic experience: First session was good. Easy to sign up and easy to just turn up and work out. Busy but got on the machines I wanted.
