Deer Park Golf & Country Club

Negative experience: Booked Santa's grotto for my daughter and friend, turned up to be told it was cancelled. Had no contact or refund and 2 very upset girls. Duty manager told me it was changed to the Sunday and lucky I phoned to confirm as they told me it was cancelled both days. No refund and just told sorry we forgot to phone and do you want a free drink . Now waiting on general manager phoning back but not hopeful that will happen.

Negative experience: Christmas Party - the food was absolutely awful - Turkey was so dry the gravy was like water - 2 small pieces of carrot and parsnips that was only edible part of the dinner Pate to start was served with 3 dry biscuits no flavour so dry. No salt or pepper on the table. The waiting staff need more training bringing out 2 plates at a time is so slow. The only reason for 1 star is because how good the bar staff was.

Negative experience: ten pin service shocking. staff nowhere to be seen and left standing at bar 10 mins it used to be such a nice place but really gone down hill

Negative experience: Awful experience and I didn’t even play golf - travelled to this course from the UK. Got to the pro shop to check in for my tee time and was told that members had been booked on to the same tea time. No apology, no suggestion of an alternative tee time. Paid £35 to play / asked for a refund and won’t be returning to this course and if you’re a non member I would stay away.

Fantastic experience: Just spent a lovely evening 10 pin bowling and bite with the family. The food was hot and arrived at the same time. The bowling score system way better than I last remembered.

Negative experience: Attended Christmas party night. Good atmosphere but food was not the best. It was hot but poor standard and very bland.

Positive experience: Open to non members at the Indoor Ten Pin Bowling . It has food up to 17.30 mid week , later at weekends. For members , there's a great gym , well equipped and not busy. There's fitness classes, spin classes too. There's a pool , small , but swimable for your post work out. Foll8w up with a shower then a choice of mixed steam room and sauna in each changing room. For golf members , there's a championship 18 hole golf course. Pro shop too. Lessons are extra and need to be booked. Entry to ground floor for wheelchairs. Mo lift. To get to the Ten Pin Bowling , there is a different entrance. Wheelchair friendly with disabled toilet.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars to Nathan, he goes over and above to make sure you enjoy your time at the bowling, he is an asset to Deer Park, we visit regularly and he is always cheery and helpful.

Negative experience: Ooffffttt go elsewhere if you can. Here goes - Bowling ok, but not enough balls for all the live lanes. Barperson looked about 10 and didn't know what a lager shandy was ? 3 times I told him/her what to do but just laughed and poured another pint of lager with a 2" frothy top Place needs Aircon - it was at about 1/2 capacity and everyone was sweating like crazy.

Negative experience: Awful experience on what I can only describe as a run down and unkept golfclub. After having a coffee at the clubhouse we were not welcome to sit on the open space behind the golfclub as we have done for many years. Staff claiming this was due to it being private property. Painfully embarrassed for the owners who sat staring at our group (their customers) while waiting for us to leave. Avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: The food is terrible. We had a roast beef dinner and the beef was like leather, the carrots where raw and the Yorkshire pudding could've tanned a window.

Negative experience: Won't let me record 0 stars so sticking to 1 star. Take my suggestion, don't book birthday party or events here, you won't regret. Lethargic Staff, preferential treatment for specific customers, messy seating arrangements, pathetic customer service. Stay away, thank me later. One of the forgettable birthday parties I had this weekend for my wee one.

Negative experience: £63 for 2 games, fries to go and a rustlers burger and microwave nuggets. Kids hated it, paid for 2 games played 1. Wont be back

Positive experience: Great bowling venue... but its a pity that the tables aren't cleared before being provided your lanes to start. After approaching a 2 staff members chatting asking if they could clear the tables with our food ordered expected to arrive imminently, felt like we were being over the top demanding. I get it's not the fanciest part of any role, but it's just as awkward having to ask a table to be cleared for your food arriving as it is to be asked. Not exactly Covid safe neither.

Positive experience: Would defo go back in the summer, it was a bit long for my old legs. Some good holes on the course and it was difficult playing long a wet and windy day ... but that's golf.

Positive experience: First time visiting the club for a few drinks and dinner since moving to the area and it was a nice experience. The food menu was limited but enough to choose from and tasty. Reasonably priced for both food and drink. The only downside is the opening hours during the week which means we can't visit for a meal after work. Edit 28/09/23 We've visited now numerous times for food and drink as it's a quick 5 minutes walk, always enjoying it whether it's at the weekend or after work. However, tonight we found service for food stops at 6pm during the week again so that cuts out our spontaneous mid week visits
