Fantastic experience: I’ve always hated the gym until I started to come here. The PT Rachel has really made a difference with how much I enjoy the gym. She’s ensured I know how to use the equipment to reach my goals and has always been super helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: The gym operates 24 hours a day. It is equipped with numerous machines, stationary bikes, and treadmills. Group classes are organized regularly.

Positive experience: We went to the gym about 7pm and it was very busy in the weights area. Had to hang about a bit for a cable. After doing cables we finished of on the crosstrainer. Down in the cardio area you can barely hear the music if at all. No good for us today as we never took earphones. Being a pure gym all the equipment was satisfactory for a commercial so not going to complain its a decent enough gym but busy and what gyms aren't round about that time.

Negative experience: Most of the equipment is old and dated. Very well used. In dire need of full upgrade of all the equipment. If it wasn't for the fact that it's cheap and no contract it would receive one star. I said this in the survey they sent me and their manager emailed very promptly. So the customer service appears to be good.

Fantastic experience: Dobrze wyposażona silownia , blisko sklepów i deptaka ,jedyny minus to parking na którym można stać maksymalnie 3 godziny.
Positive experience: It's ok. Majority of the machines like the treadmill are hardly working or not working at all. They seem to be quite aged and well used. For a small gym it is normally packed and the weight machines are always taken so hardly get to use and a waste of my time going to gym sometimes.
Negative experience: Am a disabled person and could not get a member of staff to come see me at the bottom of the building to let me now how to join the gym as lift was not in uses unless you were a member shocking
Negative experience: One of the worst PureGyms I've been to. A lot of the handles for the machines are falling apart, the weight numbers on the assisted pull up are all wrong and a lot of the weights on machines stick together. Treadmills are constantly out of use and I had an incident one one where it didn't work at all and then suddenly went full speed moments after I stepped off which could have been really dangerous. Apparatus look like they're rarely cleaned, and I've encountered cup holders full of liquid multiple times. I've reported things to members of staff before but they don't seem to be too bothered about fixing things. I've been approached by a male member of staff who was incredibly rude and belittling halfway through an exercise which could have been dangerous and heard a lot of horror stories about him.
Positive experience: Nice laid back atmosphere. Very clean. Wish the lockers were a bit better as alot of the locks appear to be faulty.

Fantastic experience: I've only been a member for a few months but it is the best gym I've been a member of. Great atmosphere, great equipment and plenty of space. The staff are helpful and considerate, the gym is spotless, all equipment packed away. The other users are friendly also, a thing I never expected. Overall it is a great place to workout, even fatties like me! The biggest plus point is it is open 24/7 so there is no excuse. Brilliant place.

Fantastic experience: Nice big gym, plenty of machines. The gym is very clean with many cleaning stations. I do enjoy coming here for the workouts, the staff are friendly as well.

Negative experience: Gym bit small, especially when busy, some of machines squeeky and old,staff clique and not very friendly

We’re afraid it's true, our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day. To make the most of the space where possible, though, we are always looking to expand and improve our facilities. Members can also use the members area via the PureGym app or website, to see how many people are in the gym. Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. In the meantime, I hope you're able to make the most of the gym and reach your personal fitness goals. Positive experience: I'm no expert in the gym, but this one seems pretty well appointed, and even has machines I've not come across before. Staff are friendly, and I even had another gymgoer come over and show me how to set up one of the machines unprompted, which was appreciated. I also like that it's 24/7, a big plus over the NL leisure offerings, and it's cheaper too.

Fantastic experience: Very good gym. Once signed up you can down load the app which gives you hands free access or use your code. Also the app shows the amount of people in the gym.. There is a wide variety of workout stations from weights to cardio. The membership fee is very much worth every penny, you can also book free classes which is included in the price. The membership can also be cancelled when ever you want. The changing rooms are clean and spacious as with the toilets and showers. There are cleaning stations set throughout the floor. They have definitely made very good use of the space. There is loads parking and over all easy access. There is a lift for wheelchair users too!

Fantastic experience: This is the gym I use myself. It's easy to get to just 10 mins walk from motherwell train station and also 5 mins walk from various bus stops. Its a decent sized gym not to big or to small. There's a great range of both machines and classes available. Membership prices are also really reasonable priced considering. The app for pure gym also is great alone for booking classes and working out at home to delicious home made recipes. I would highly recommend here x

Fantastic experience: The gym is fantastic with good modern machines, plenty of weights and studios for classes. There is also extensive bikes, treadmills and other cardio machines. Before covid I was going 3 to 4 times a week and now that things are better I plan to fo back soon

Positive experience: Gym is a good gym but what a waste seeing people sitting in gym with phones in hand taking selfies for social media for posts not even working out. Don't even attempt to put effort in working out, some use it as a social gathering just to meet up with pals. Puregym should implement banning for mobile phones on the gym floor people clogs up the space needed for others to use for those who want to exercise and use the machines. Puregym if you're really reviewing these reviews please take this one very seriously. You have more respect for gym users and increase customers using gym if you ban phones on the gym floor.

Fantastic experience: Certainly can’t fault PureGym everything clean sanitised and all covid guidelines followed as best they can, new to Motherwell but Been a PureGym customer for over a year. The chain give you everything you need just wish I could do less crisps and more crunches

Negative experience: Can someone tell that big blimp to stop soaking all the machines with his wee spay bottle, I you want to soak all the equipment at least dry it up! All that spray is not going to keep your gym open, If the Gestapo want to close the gyms the will!

Fantastic experience: I wont one star obviously but change your bloody times. Closing at 8pm is not 24 hours. While most wimps drink on a Saturday i wanna train.

The busyness does fluctuate throughout the day, and from day-to-day. We have implemented a section to the website and the app which informs our members how many people are in the gym at that time and a graph to show the previous busyness of the gym on certain dates for comparison which we have found has really helped our members plan their workouts.
