Bootycamp Gym: Opinions
Negative experience: Very good delivery on the community feeling which absolutely makes you more accountable and driven to keep going to the gym. Erin's classes are FIRE, highly recommend to sign up for them. When it comes to the PT side of things, I found the groups being a bit too large (especially in the evening slots, the only ones I could join), which makes it feel more like a regular class. The other thing is that you cannot use the gym freely, unless you go to an open gym slot (only 6 am in the morning 3 times a week) and when I inquired about having some more open gym slots maybe in the evening/other times I was told not possible and that if they were to implement this, it would be on a pay as you go basis (so on top of the membership price); not sure why this would be the case since the open gym sessions that take place at 6 am are included in the membership. The facilities are OK, a bit run down and chaotic at times. There have been also a few instances where there was not enough equipment during a PT class (again groups being too large and facility not really able to accommodate everyone). Lastly, please be aware that when you do sign up for the membership, there is a little note on the terms and conditions that says "members must give 1 month paid notice to terminate membership" and these are "signed" online. When asked to revise these as I could not recall, the date signed corresponds to the day I signed up for the FREE WEEK TRIAL. I think that is incredibly deceiving, and don’t understand why there would be a cancellation form/condition at the moment of signing up for a trial week. Anyway, as I feel the whole cancellation thing is deceiving and unusual - never seen this being a thing in any other gym - I wanted to highlight this and warn future members. READ YOUR T AND CS BEFORE YOU JOIN – even if it is for a “free” trial week!!
Fantastic experience: Goofy ahh name
