Fantastic experience: you only need to put your reg in at the gym if you are there for over 3 hours! so many bad reviews when it’s not PG’s fault! It’s not hard to read the signs and there’s also an iPad by the vending machines to avoid fines if you’re planning a long gym session! Ive been going since March and not had any fines as I’m never there for over the time! Stop with the negative comments about a car park! The gym itself is always clean, staff are friendly and the classes are great!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to PureGym since 15th Feb 2022 when it opened. No experience, no confidence and no knowledge about what to do. Simply showed up for as many classes as I could and helpful staff have always been there to answer my questions and help. GM Mel has been amazing since day 1 and always happy to solve a problem over email or in person promptly and effectively. Hers, Lewis’s, Harvey’s and Alex’s classes have been my favourite. The atmosphere, staff and other members have changed my attitude towards myself. I’ve learnt to love working out and looked forward to going everytime. It’s never been a task and that’s simply because people are inspiring and friendly. Well done Pure gym Yeovil, you have changed my life, my health and my future. Thank you

Positive experience: Thought it worth writing a review. Overall I like this gym, great staff, parking nearby, clean. The downside is that I go to my classes, get ticket off in attendance, then get a ban to the classes because the system wasn't updated saying I attended. It's a stupid system and two times now I have missed out on a week's worth of classes. The showers are also freezing cold and horrible to shower in.

Positive experience: I really love pure gym staff are great equipment is everything i need, but why on earth have they turned the temperatures down so low in the showers it’s winter and they are just tepid now otherwise I’d have given 5 stars, the showers are what let it down, many of us have noticed this, I left the gym last September as I noticed the shower temp had been turned down, and joined another gym because of that, just rejoined pure gym for the opening hours as as price had gone up I’d hoped that maybe they had put shower temp up again, sadly not. Pure Gym please turn the heat up for the showers at least in these winter months, then down in summer months. Would also be nice to have a small social seated area like they are doing in other gyms with charging points in chairs so people can sit and relax after workout rather than having to sit in changing rooms, there is room in front of the vending machine area for that :) I’d be happy to pay a few extra £s to have decent hot showers and a sit, relax and recharge area.

Fantastic experience: Good gym, nice environment and perfect temperature, carpark is the only negative

Positive experience: Good open space with lots of equipment to train whatever you need. Staff are really helpful also. Just a couple of stereotypical gym users to be aware of. The type that are carrying 10 rolls of carpet round the gym and smashing weight down acting like the weight of the sun was on their shoulders.

Positive experience: Friendly and amazing gym. There are some very good machines for growing strength, the studio has perfect lightning, there is a wide variety of cardio machines and almost all have at least 4 available. The only complaint I have is there aren’t enough leg machines

Negative experience: The Gym was all good and great equipment. However, I bought a day pass and went with a friend for just over an hour for a session. Just received a parking ticket. Wouldn't recommend going after 10pm for that reason.

Positive experience: Clean, well presented with nice friendly staff. Pure Gym is ideal, in my view for everyone who just wants to get fit. There are all ages, all shapes and sizes including some with disabilities and all are treated and respected in the same way. I only go during the week at work times, the privilege of retirement, but during those times, and I understand that it would be busier in the evenings and at weekends, there feels like there is lots of space and plenty of free equipment. What's not to like.....

Positive experience: Decent gym, clean and tidy spread over two floors only real downside was it was so hot not sure if this was an issue on the day bit it was quite uncomfortable. Good range of equipment and atmosphere though.

Positive experience: Went to this gym between June-Sept 2023 consistently 4/5 times a week. Speaking to locals this building used to be a mothercare store, so I think an excellent investment/conversion. Definitely my favourite gym (1/6) I’ve ever attended largely due to the space and cleanliness of the equipment. Basic but standard for a good experience. I usually did workouts between 9:30-12:00am and I rarely felt the presence of other people during my reps. I was impressed the bench press seat was replaced with new material early on into my membership as it initially had quite a few tear marks. There were multiple benches/squat racks to choose from too. As someone who has their own routine and comes in for an hour workout and checks out I enjoyed my time here. The lighting in the free weights area makes you feel motivated and there’s plenty of room to always do your own exercises. There was a good atmosphere and people had good etiquette and were friendly. I couldn’t comment on lessons/classes/trainers. The reason I can’t give five stars: 1. A/C. Wasn’t a main concern for me, sometimes it was on, sometimes it was off during the rare hot days - I’ve lived in hot climates so it doesn’t bother me so much as others on here. 2. Leg curl machine. I would prefer there to be an extra leg curl machine. It is a very popular piece of equipment and it could be hard to access when it was busy. I have been to smaller gyms and usually there are at least two so I was surprised to see this. 3. Toilet maintenance. My primary issue with this gym is in relation to the mens changing room. Firstly the hand dryer stopped working for the last two months during my membership, so people are using paper towels - I’m not sure how sustainable that is. Secondly and more serious the mens changing rooms ran out of soap by the toilets. Every time I finish my workout, I like to wash my hands and so the first day I noticed this I was unable to find a member of staff on my way out. The next day there was still no soap and I was able to find a member of staff and tell them - surprised no one else had mentioned this or the fact a member of staff was unable to notice it. But when I went in the following day, there was hand sanitiser in the soap dispenser. Which I guess does the job but its crazy to me these facilities don’t have soap readily available. Like can’t at least one of the members of staff go to Poundland next door and buy some. It has been like this for the last two weeks of my tenure here. And I haven’t mentioned the opposite soap dispenser never has anything in it and I can’t remember the last time it did!

Negative experience: I don’t recommend this place because simply is not safe, if i guy comes to you with dead treats and abusing you racially on the front of managers and everyone in the gym and you are banned from the gym after for defending yourself and your family thats mean this place is full of incompetent people managing it and is simply not safe for your health ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️

Negative experience: I enjoy this gym but it’s SO HOT! I’ve been told by the PTs (who also think it’s too hot) they’ve reduced the air con by at least 50% to save money, despite having hundreds of customers paying for air con. I know people who have considered leaving/left due to this. It’s also quite dangerous to have the gym that hot and I have felt ill sometimes whilst working out. SORT OUT THE AIR CON ITS TOO HOT

Negative experience: It is a good gym but it is EXTREMELY HOT. It is very frustrating that I pay a gym with air-conditioning and they barely use it or turn it on in the summer in a high temperature. And when it comes the winter the heating is so high that when using the treadmill for 5 minutes you are already profusely sweating. I like to earn my sweat and I don’t want to sweat like a pig before even properly exercising. It is a real shame because the air-conditioning was the big selling point to me. I’m certainly reconsidering

Negative experience: There is simply not enough equipment for the amount of members. Everything else is ok.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities in a very large space and a much needed addition to the local gym scene. It has never been over crowded from my experience, but they could improve in their in-house music. Nothing a good pair of headphones can't solve. Excellent value for money comparatively.

Fantastic experience: Went for a sweat class. Used the cross trainer and bike as a warm up. Excellent class from Jordan. Showers felt a little cool.

All instructors are pleasant and the classes are I definitely recommend. Obviously the machines get busy but the tracking on the app is pretty spot on

Positive experience: Gyms great but after going every day for over a month I’ve now started to get £100 parking fines for every evening visit to the gym. I didn’t even know there were any restrictions in the ‘24hr free car park’. Not a great start especially as I could have easily had a message in the app telling me of any parking restriction changes. After speaking to a manager he assured me he’ll sort it out as I was at the gym. UPDATE CAR PARK FINE HAS BEEN CANCELLED Thank you Derek

Negative experience: Just received a fine for parking in this car park attached to the gym as you cant park in there after 10pm! Why on earth would you make this a 24 hour gym when you are only allowed to park from 6am to 10pm every day. This is so wrong!

Fantastic experience: Good equipment and good price. Classes are good and free. Staff are friendly. Only thing is that it's rather busy now other gyms have closed and lots of young children everywhere.

Fantastic experience: The app is the best iv used compared to other gyms; being able to have a live count helps determine when it is quieter for me to work out, easy booking of classes and confirmation emails, workout plans, guides and routines to help learn how to work out is great! A really good variation of equipment. Staff are smiley and have made a point of saying hello when sat on the reception area. I also feel that the staff really listen to their reviews; i noticed a couple weeks ago people were suggesting zumba classes/ struggling to book an induction as they get booked up quick and i have seen that they have now added an additional induction on both days at weekends and introduced Zumba classes. It would be good to see some more womens weightlifting classes to help build confidence in the gym? Only cons - it doesnt feel like the air con is on enough and can get a bit hot and stuffy. Really glad i got my membership here and got myself back in the gym!

Negative experience: Would be a good gym if your instructors actually bothered to turn up to classes on time or at all, and if on those occasions where the instructor is unable to take the class you actually informed the members waiting in the studio!
