Fantastic experience: Progress Gym is by far one of the top gyms in the area if not the country!! The atmosphere, members and staff are on an elite level. They welcome ypu in as if you have been there for years and are always willing to offer advice or just be there as someone to talk to.

I completed the 6 week fat loss program before joining, the support and encouragement from the team was amazing, time was given to explain new classes or activities and exercises were amended if an existing injury was an issue. There is an extensive range of equipment which is well maintained. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I have been to many gyms in the past 45 years but this is the Best gym I have ever been at by miles. A really friendly atmosphere where I am greeted by my christian name whenever I come in and fabulously well equipped. A home away from home that helps me achieve my goals.

Fantastic experience: Glad to be back! I had trained at Progress Gym before. After the lock downs I had period away from training. When I came to training I tried a few other Gyms around Yeovil. I did not find one that was as well equipped. Professionally managed, or staffed as well or as clean! Although there may be cheaper gym's in Yeovil there isn’t one that gives you a better experience.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Progress for 10 years and I have no plans to leave! It is extremely well equipped with excellent staff. I use the Performance gym because it allows me to move better and be stronger. The gym's slogan is "more than a gym" and i can honestly say it definitely is.

Fantastic experience: Been going regularly to Progress for over 6 months now and I can't recommend it enough. The staff are always friendly and Rob, the owner, is very passionate and helpful. There is an all-round positive community and culture here. The gym shop is especially useful and well-stocked (the chocolate orange protein shake is delicious). There is a variety of different attachments and machines as well; all the equipment is excellently maintained and high quality. If you're looking for a gym and are in the area, definitely give this one a visit.

Fantastic experience: I've never felt so welcome in a gym before I found Progress Gym. The staff are amazing. The facilities are great. The performance gym (which is in a separate building to the main gym) has a fantastic Powerlifting community. The main gym has a huge amount of cardio equipment, free weights and machines. They also have a great selection of performance based products to buy. I've been going here for a year now and I'm really impressed at the effort that goes into making members feel valued and giving them the best experience possible. Positive experience: I’ve been a fair few times now, I love the equipment it’s by far the best I’ve used, however I wouldn’t go alone, it feels very much like a body builder gym and that’s the market it’s aiming at. But I do enjoy training in there with the body builders! Pushy members of staff to get you to pay out for membership even though you are paying £10 for a day pass, which actually I believe is the most expensive in Yeovil! I happily pay that but I don’t like being pushed to pay even more.

Fantastic experience: Superb gym with excellent team and great variety of equipment. The main gym has lots of cardio equipment, weight machines and squat racks/ lifting platforms. Progress Performance, just across the car park, has tonnes of functional equipment - sleds, tyres, rig, free weights, etc.. Rob and his team are all super friendly and very knowledgeable. There’s a very well stocked cafe with anything you need pre/ post workout. 100% recommend to anyone looking for a gym in the Somerset area.

Fantastic experience: Visited Progress gym for a few sessions while working in Yeovil for the week. Owner Rob is super friendly as are all the team there. The gym itself is stacked with amazing kit, all the best pieces you could want for a workout! All kinds of people of all ages, shapes and sizes which is always great to see, shows what a good vibe the gym has. Just wish I could pick it up and move it to my home town! One of the best gyms i’ve used, cheers to Rob and the team for the warm welcome!

Fantastic experience: I was in Somerset for the week and was looking for a gym to keep up with training whilst away from London. I didn’t have high expectations in general and stumbled across Progress Gym on Google. I was absolutely blown away by the gym and so happy that I found it. Upon arrival at the gym, I was shown around both sites and in the end stuck with just using the main site as I was strength training for the week only. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. I went with the weekly pass which worked out to be better value than paying for each time I visited. All the guys on reception were super helpful, and I even met the owner who took the time to talk to me and run me through the ethos of the gym. I have been to quite a few gyms around the UK, specifically those for strength training and bodybuilding, and Progress Gym is right up there with the very best of them. The gym has lots of variety of machines from pin-loaded, plate loaded, free weights, cables and squat racks. Inclines, flats, declines. Different variations for all muscle parts as you would expect. There are loads of single arm and double arm attachments and the gym was super clean! I mean the cleanest gym I’ve seen. There was a culture from everyone using the gym to put your weights away after use and attachments back on the wall. There was even photos on the wall of where to place the attachments! I will be definitely be back at Progress Gym when in the area. Great job Rob and the team!

Fantastic experience: As someone who has dedicated the better part of twenty years to training it is rare to find a gym that has everything you could possibly want but this place does. The split between the more bodybuilding focused set up and the xfit, powerlifting and functional areas is fantastic, the staff are great, it's facilities are clean as a whistle and it literally has all you could possibly need machine/ equipment wise.

Fantastic experience: I joined Progress after having them recommended by a good friend, I was slightly dubious at first as Progress has a rep for being a 'serious' gym. However from the minute I first walked through the door I was made to feel welcome and Rob,Sarah and Harry have been friendly, supportive and full of helpful pointers and tips. On top of the fully kitted gym floor including a good selection of cardio equipment (treadmills, cross trainers, bikes and never ending staircase!), a huge selection and range of dumbbells (2.5kg-80kg), smiths machine, several squat racks, various forms of bench's inc flat and incline. Also a large amount of machines that will hit any part of your body that you want in about 10 different ways!! Add to this an ever increasing range of food products from simple nut's and snacks to a range of amino acids, proteins and supplements and you have a sure fire winner if you are looking to loose weight, pack on muscle or just get healthy. Advice is always given in a friendly conversational way and you never feel that what you're doing is not important compared to some of the 'big' gym goers, you never feel watched, but a quick tip often comes when you're refilling your water or packing up to leave! Don't hesitate, give them a ring or drop in today!!

Many Gyms remain stagnent as passive income for the owner but during my time at Progress (Around 4 years) the equipment was constantly updated, they relocated to a bigger venue and even bought the building next door. Having been to several other gyms where my physique was not deemed as 'acceptable.' My confidence in attending such a space was on the floor. Immediately I was greeted with a warm welcome and with a diverse range of people who attended. It felt like the gym equivalent of home. I cannot recommend this gym highly enough and when I get the opportunity to come into Yeovil I always try to pay a visit. It is just not as often as I would like. Absolutely 5 star gym with 5 star people.

Fantastic experience: Joining Progress is so much more than just joining a gym, it's joining a family. A family of like-minded individuals who want to move forward with their health and fitness goals, who want to be encouraged, not judged. The staff and owner Rob provide a welcoming, supportive and inclusive environment where you don't feel like a gym member - you feel like a valued gym member. My lunchtime gym sessions tend to be mostly cardio (sorry Rob!). A large sign strategically placed on the wall in front of the machines reads, "I can and I will. Watch me." Every time I leave, feeling waaaay better than when I arrived I think to myself, "I could, and I did." I have been proud to be a member of Progress Gym for the last five years, and look forward to many more.

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this gym! Upon visiting you'll see a sign which states 'more than a gym'; this could not be more true as every time I visit I feel really welcome and always get the support I need. The team are extremely well trained and knowledgable in what they do, from nutrition advice to training plans. The equipment selection is second to none - if you need it, they have it, and it's usually in great condition so no 'out of order' signs or unsafe machines. I have been a member since January 2018.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym very knowledgeable friendly staff you never feel truly left all on your own so to speak always,somebody at hand to ask anything fitness/exercise related. Very bright we’ll lit place a real buzz with lots of energy,I’m just in the weights gym but there is more than just weights purely. Everyone is welcome nobody whatsoever should feel embarrassed uncomfortable with how they feel they look trust me variety is in abundance at this place. There is another Sports Hall on site called Performance lots more to aid your Progress. If you feel you need a personal trainer you’ll find more than one to choose from with a whole bunch of skills/specialists or even be paired up with for an initial introduction. There is a good selection of supplements/protein powders/bars eggs and more available to purchase at the Gym Shop. There is Car Parking to accommodate all sorts whatever you’ve got just not massive Caravan sized RVs, Parking spaces for the Gym are clearly marked on the ground,there is also a Bicycle shed/Parking available. There is also a chilled water dispenser available should you need a top up. I know there’s probably more I’ve clearly missed out. So to round it up as a paying customer I can recommend this Gym to all.

Fantastic experience: A really friendly and welcoming gym, something for everyone - classes (spin, circuits, ladies only, yoga etc) to a running group, as well as the very best range of equipment available for weight training. The staff are all super friendly and knowledgeable, the PTs are all amazing, well worth having a session or ten with one of them! I have never felt intimidated here, it’s such an inclusive environment. The shop too - loads of goodies as well as fresh meat and eggs, and a fab clothing range! Give Progress a try, you really won’t regret it.

Progress Performance is separate to the Gym offering Endurance training, Spinning and Ladies only classes. Progress has Personal Trainers available for 1 to 1 sessions. They will compile training plans, support and motivate. Helping you achieve your goals. There is so much to do here. There are individual changing rooms and showers The Shop sells gym related nutritional products, clothing and accessories If you are new to training, trained before or just want to get fit I would highly recommend Progress Gym/Performance.

Fantastic experience: I've been part of the Progress Gym family for nearly four years and it has been a life enhancing experience. At nearly 90 years of age I do not expect to be 'bulking up' so my workouts are mainly resistance training which has been proven to be of great benefit to older people. Progress Gym is very different to other gyms I've been to, the owner Rob, my PT Amanda, all the Progress Gym team and other Gym members are really friendly and helpful. It is a great place to workout and socialise afterwards with a coffee or protein shake.

Rob and his team are dedicated to ensuring each member feels welcome and is motivated to achieve their goals. Impressively, the staff make an effort to know every member by name. Members range from beginners to competitive lifters and there is good rapport among members of all abilities and ages. The gym is packed with a full range of equipment which is frequently serviced and updated. The staff and personal trainers are available every day throughout the opening hours to provide guidance, advice and support. Additionally the gym shop offers a good range of top nutritional supplements, protein powders, energy drinks, protein bars and healthy snacks. I recommend Progress Gym without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: I can not rate this gym, it's equipment, the employees or the management highly enough. I have been a member of various gyms over the last 20 + years however progress is hands down the best gym I have ever had the privilege of being a member. I love everything about Progress joining here you are definitely buying in to more than Gym, you will find a broad range of people with differing interests and approaches to their fitness all of which are successfully catered for by the team. There is definitely something for everyone.

Fantastic experience: Hands down, this is the best gym I've used. The range and variety of equipment, from dumbbells, benches, machines, Cv is second to none. There's multiple machines and kit for a whole host of targeted exercises! Not happy with that, the gym is constantly evolving and updating/importing new kit for the users. In top of that you have the performance section, a whole selection of different classes and friendly helpful staff who'll go out of their way for you. It really benefits and helps having an owner who is passionate about training and understands the needs of his clientele. Visit and try....you will not be disappointed

Fantastic experience: This is an excellent Gym, with friendly staff and reasonable membership prices. There is a good range of equipment available for all different disciplines, from treadmills/cross-training machines to heavy weights. Everything you need for an intensive workout is here and I have never had to wait to use a machine. It's a great Gym!

The fact that it has dual facilities, which includes the Performance Centre and the Gym itself, offers a variety of options for different people's fitness goals. Fantastic experience: Possibly the most engaging and welcoming Gym I've ever been a member of. You are always welcomed by name and you are made to feel part of a family. There is on going investment in new equipment, some of it replacing worn out equipment some of it for new movements. The staff are knowledgable and on hand to provide help and advice, or just for some well needed encouragement. There is a good mix of classes from spin to boxing to hit for those that want more of a group workout. And there are regular fitness challenges for the more competitive.

Fantastic experience: I've just joined this gym today and I love it already. The staff (Imogen and Rob) are so welcoming and open which is exactly what I needed being stuck in lockdown for months. The gym is huge, immaculate and the equipment is clean and well maintained. Pricing is very reasonable. I am sooo happy and glad I found this gem!!!

Fantastic experience: By far the best gym in the area, I have tried the local competition and they have absolutely nothing on Progress. Unmatched variety and quality of equipment to suit any style of training. All of the staff are approachable, welcoming and knowledgable. Even the atmosphere at progress is levels above it's rivals. I cannot recommend enough!
