Fantastic experience: I've really enjoyed both training and teaching at BFC this year, especially since the gym makeover over summer. The lighting is nice and warm which makes a massive difference training in colder months, and it never feels too crowded compared to other gyms I've trained at across Bromley. I've found the team really good at taking on board feedback and making changes to the gym - it really feels like a community where members and staff are valued.

But the lovely staff, I’ve never had any issues with any individual who works at BFC. The staff are very welcoming, respectful/polite and patient. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned fitness enthusiast, she has the perfect approach for everyone. Elle is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly motivating and supportive. She offers great form corrections and is always available to answer questions about routines or any fitness-related concerns. The gym itself is also top-notch with a great variety of equipment and a clean, friendly environment. But honestly, Elle is the main reason I look forward to my workouts every week. Highly recommend her classes to anyone looking to level up their fitness journey!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful independent gym with fantastic equipment and extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff - particularly Ollie, Joe & George. As a member since the gym started I have always found the team (who always have smiles on their faces) very helpful with any issues and it is truly a welcoming and fantastic environment to work out in.

Fantastic experience: I was here to work out with my coach, Zsófi, during my visit in London. The gym is well equipped, clean, and the staff is friendly. It was not crowded on Saturday morning.

George, Joe, and the rest of the team are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to offer assistance. Fantastic experience: I have been a member of BFC for almost 2 years and can say after trying a few gyms over the years, this is by far the friendliest, most comfortable gym I’ve been to. It’s always tidy and organised, and never over crowded. They are always getting new equipment and machines which allows you to try new things! The staff at the desk are always so welcoming and if I ever have any questions regarding an exercise, everyone is always happy to help. George who usually works in the evenings is always a great help :)

Fantastic experience: Been a member of the gym for more than 5 years. Great atmosphere, easy to get into all the different machines and the staff are friendly and helpful. The gym has updated its machines giving more choice as well as areas to train.

Negative experience: The gym itself is ok. Staff are rude and follow so called attractive women around. There is no atmosphere is this gym! Like other customers, I have cancelled my membership and I’m still being charged. This is dishonesty at its finest. I wouldn’t recommend this gym.

Positive experience: Postives - Plenty of free weight and weight machine. - Decent running machine, plenty of bike machines. -24 hours gym - Punching bags Negatives - limited of room for groundwork - free weight and bench on the groundwork areaby the mirror, which reduce the space for groundwork and they put the cycling in the boxing/ground work area. - changing rooms are sometimes dirty and sometimes the soap tub are empty in the men toilet. Also i dont think they clean the lockers daily because one time i came 3 days in a row and i wanted to used the locker i wanted but could not as there was plastic bags and foods left there until the 3rd day i checked the locker. - Prices for the gym has skyrocketed as in 2023 i paid £244.95 for core only membership, 2024 i paid £334.95 for core only membership (which i thought fair enough because they wanted wanted to open the gym 24/7 and they wanted to renovate the gym) and now coming up for when my membership expires, they again has increased the price for the core membership to £369.95, which i strongly disagree with. So overrall, if you want to focus on weighelifting than this gym is for you but if you want to do Cardio & ground work, you are better off going to Pure gym in Bromley as there is plenty of Cardio machines, penty room for ground work and they offer a cheaper deal than Bromley Fitness Centre.

Negative experience: If i could give 0 stars i would. The level of customer service is worse than atrocious when it comes to cancelling your membership. the T&C's state that you need to give 25 days notice, which i had complied with only to be told that i need to pay to the end of the following month which works out to be 55 days notice! not the 25 days stated in the T&C's. The payments team are apparently completely unable to assist with changing an invoice amount which being an accountant i find incredibly hard to believe. I have also asked for my payment details to be deleted as i am entitled to under GDPR, i have not received confirmation this has been actioned and it has been completely ignored in every email i have mentioned it in.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, friendly staff, very clean and a great amount of equipment I'm taking part in their Get Fit program and have seen amazing results, lost over 20kg and am now working on building muscle. Zsofia has been an amazing coach who really works hard to tailor a unique plan for you that gets the results you want

Negative experience: Left a review and removed it because the manager assured me the GDPR issue was resolved. Unfortunately, I have just received another email and I haven't been removed off the mailing list. "Originally signed up for a day pass offer and started receiving emails. I have unsubscribed many many times and still receive them. I emailed them personally to remove me from the mailing list and yet I am still receiving newsletters and emails".

Fantastic experience: A fantastic gym, that offers a wide variety of gym equipment facilities, with friendly staff, such as George, who provide great customer service.

Fantastic experience: Great gym for a great price, it has a wide variety of equipment to use 2 squat racks and a brand new power rack recently installed, dumbells that range from 2.5 - 50 KG also classes are run that are available to everyone. the boys in reception are friendly and approachable and cleanliness is not am issue, big changing rooms with lots of a space and never short of a locker. The downside I think is that it doesn't have a comp bench but that can be substituted by using a squat rack with the safety pins. Excellent gym would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I was with Virgin active for over a year when I decided to give this gym a try as I live within walking distance. It is a lot smaller then Virgin but it has everything you need and the staff is lovely. Is never too busy and the gym is always clean and now is open 24/7 which is an added bonus. I just cancelled my Virgin membership as I haven’t been there in over 2 months. Thanks to Zsofia for sorting out my membership issues!

Fantastic experience: Recently switched here from Pure Gym Bromley which has become increasingly overcrowded and dirty. Somebody recommended this place to me about a year ago and I wish I’d switched sooner. It’s much smaller than Pure Gym but still has a great range of equipment and never feels crowded or particularly busy, even on Monday evenings. The staff are much friendlier too. The ambience is nice, the other members respectful and overall a nice place to visit for a workout. Great to see it’s also going 24/7.

Positive experience: Locally-run gym with decent equipment, usually nice to workout in. I wasn't aware of some things during signing up however, that has made me want to cancel my membership many times since. Some examples are as follows: 1) When training without your own music you may overhear new staff members chatting about people, including intimate matters, with their phones and their circle of friends in the gym. You may find this derogatory. 2) Some new staff may give you passive-aggressive looks, which seem only to happen after doing some rarer type of exercises. 3) These staff while being friendly to your face, may post content mocking gym members on social media that is supposedly about helping gym members. There are also nutrition posts urging people to eat lots of steak and to avoid the alternative, which appears to be politically motivated for the reason of indirectly spiting those with ethical concerns. 4) If you have problems with the app and they ask you to give them your phone to "see something" to help and are reluctant to give it back, this is probably for ulterior reasons. 5) Today upon entry, I noticed highly dodgy music playlist playing in the gym, so this time I turned on my own music volume buttons up at near the front desk to cover it up. Afterwards the new staff member in charge approached me in a somewhat passive-aggressive manner, to tell me that I am supposedly breaching health and safety policy with my clothes. This is despite having the opportunity to do so many times beforehand and/or anytime during the last year. 6) I thought one class I noticed put attendees at a unnecessary risk of injury, but was unlikely to be intentional. I haven't mentioned any of the above before and overall its a decent gym to workout in, but when you notice the above it can drain your motivation completely to be in the vicinity of this kind of culture. Date of original review 31/08 Reupload of review 14/09 Continuation of vindictive staff behaviour following complaint. Would not recommend gym if the member is: 1) A newcomer who may be susceptible to manipulation and indirect methods i.e. narcissism. 2) A lone gym member lifting in a way that can make you a target of these staff. Reply 18/09: I thanked on basis that the reasoning for the call was genuine and that my membership request would be looked at. I eventually accepted the call despite requesting correspondence via writing. I had recorded the call due to half expecting this response. I described the general culture without names to try and avoid the complaint being used for internal politics. There was sidestepping in areas you or your favoured co-worker are involved with, where I repeated the same information but gave up in the end. However I had given this the benefit of the doubt and did not notice retaliation at this point. 1+2 As per the review I didn't mention anything to do with being uncomfortable or annoyed, rather the general culture and warning that potential customers may find it derogatory. 3 You know I just clicked on gym Instagram and then your co-workers account that is advertised and officiated. You have omitted the first portion of this which was discussed and sidestepped, instead choosing to disingenuously insert that I may be uncomfortable or offended by your co-worker's hate views (which you share) being dangerously inserted into professional advice towards exploitable gym members to spite those with ethical concerns. I mentioned nothing to do with my own ethical choices. 4 I was the one who guessed the issue to be an app version problem. Your co-worker who requested my phone did not know the problem and accessed other areas of my phone for no given reason, not the app sidebar. 5 You mentioned this type drill music is not suitable for anyone. I stated many gyms have dress codes but the reason for the approach was likely the staff being used to enact similar workplace politics due to the circumstances. 6 You don't know which class and you agreed that the one example I gave put members at risk of injury.

Negative experience: Enquired about PT in person on 07/09 regarding general questions about the gym, I may as well have been talking to a brick wall. The 'manager' just repeatedly said I'd need to sign up for the monthly contract in order to answer my questions. I would have done this, however I wanted to have more information beforehand regarding classes, the PTs and their contact info, but the response was just that I needed to either sign up online or fill out the flyer with my details. Really unhelpful and vague.

Positive experience: Adequate for those just looking to workout on the gym floor and go. I need more from my gym. Ample Classes to be precise.

Negative experience: Kind of rude, went in to the gym in person to enquire about PT, was sent an email after with questions and answered in as much detail as possible never got a response, even after I did a follow up email as I was keen to get started. Ended up going somewhere else in Bromley less than 2 minutes from here where training started the next day.

Positive experience: Nice basic gym. No frills. Great for a new starter who's abit shy. Good sense of community and the staff are friendly. My only criticism is that the loos need abit of care.

Positive experience: Got a day pass here in between members elsewhere. The gym is small, but on the day I went (Saturday) it was quiet enough that it didn't matter. Equipment fairly old, place a bit dirty and dumbells are all over the place, but it's perfectly fine for a workout. I'd go back if I ever needed a workout on a day pass. Has all I need with free weights, dip bars, pull up bars and a small mat area.

Fantastic experience: I like a nice quiet workout where I can get my workout done in a timely fashion. I can actually get on the equipment I want to use here (unlike Puregym). There isn't much variation of equipment, but as someone who uses mostly free weights, this isn't an issue for me. Staff are very friendly and welcoming, especially the manager. Definitely the best gym around the Bromley high street area. Unless you like being in a packed gym, surrounded by teenagers with a chip on their shoulder, then PureGym round the corner will probably be more your thing.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a gym for the more mature trainer then this is definitely the best place around as they have 6 good quality punch and kick bags the equipment is of a decent standard as well and adequate for most people the atmosphere is very relaxed and the showers are a blast just what you need when you've had a good workout which I have to say most gyms don't have good showers unlike this one, I have been to the gym several times and everytime I have finished my workout I feel really very satisfied with my results, the staff are very helpful and always there to help if you need it for these reasons I have had to give this gym a five-star rating, I have been to many gyms in my 40 years of training and have achieved a 5 Dan in Taekwondo and also experienced in many other martial arts and I can honestly say this gym deserves 5 Stars + I believe you can get a free day pass to try the gym out so if you're into really keeping fit and testing yourself or if you are into martial arts and want to train on some decent bags then this is definitely the best place around it Bromley
