Negative experience: After officially canceling my membership, an amount was deducted from my account without rightful cause, and the issue was not resolved despite contacting management. I advise everyone not to deal with the club until the membership and cancellation procedures are clear.

Positive experience: I recently attended the dance and boxing at Park Road Lifestyle and it was absolutely brilliant. The structure, energy, and results from both session really stood out compared to other classes I've tried. It's engaging, motivating, and suitable for all fitness levels while still being challenging. I genuinely believe the boxing class would be a huge success if it were introduced across other e.g. Wavertree Lifestyle locations. It offers something unique and incredibly effective, and I know many more members would love the opportunity to take part. Please consider rolling this class out to more gyms — it's too good to be limited to just one location!

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience. I was interrupted in the middle of a treadmill workout and told I was not allowed to use the machine for more than 20 minutes during “peak time.” There was no signage, no prior warning, and staff could not clearly explain what peak time actually means. It was a shock to me, as there is a basic rule in gyms not to interrupt people during exercise, especially cardio. I even asked for a few more minutes to safely complete my session, but instead I was told to stop immediately and leave the machine. When I asked for clarification at reception, the response became rude and dismissive. Instead of constructive communication, I was called selfish, told not to take it personally, and even advised to use a different gym if I did not like it. I understand that gyms may have fair-use policies, but the way this was handled was unprofessional, poorly communicated, and unnecessary. I will not be returning.

Positive experience: Great place to exercise. Has a pool and saunas and steam room. The staff are friendly. There are plenty of activities for youngsters too.

Negative experience: I’m honestly so frustrated with Park Road Lifestyle Swimming. I showed up early to the men's only swim, expecting to get in for a swim, but they still refused to let me in. The pool wasn’t even full, so I really don’t understand what the issue was. Terrible customer service and a waste of my time; to top it off, the staff lady was RUDE.

Fantastic experience: Love the pool here it's very old fashioned with the changing rooms around the pool, the pool itself is always lovely and warm and the staff are always friendly and happy to help.

Negative experience: Today we were ready for the ladies only swim 50mnz....cud only stay 10mnz pool water freezing and was told the boiler not working. Lcc get ur jobs in order plz.

Fantastic experience: Wow, it's an amazing place. I brought my toddler for a session. She played all over the gym, enjoyed a lot. Danced, ran, jumped. At the end of the session one of the staff comes and sits with you to sing couple of songs. Pre books are must

Negative experience: Council Staff can be petty about allowing access to sauna or gym until the exact opening time. Have to check to see what time it opens on any particular day due to it operating with 4 Different opening times during the week??? Facilities dated and run down.

Negative experience: Stuck in 2000's, swimming pool is the same from when i was a kid in the 90's always a warm welcome.

Fantastic experience: Can't beat the nostalgia of going back to the old school baths family swim session with my 8-year-old daughter, who is autistic having access to a quiet, not overcrowded pool is a god sent to her she loved it

Positive experience: Lovely community that support one another no matter what your fitness goals are. Staff are all really accommodating and friendly. The attitude of people who go here and the instructors are what make it a great place to go. I have used other private chain gyms in the past which do not have the same vibe and I felt uncomfortable at. For the size of the gym itself, I have seen people complain about access hours and limitations of facilities, but to me it is a good local centre that offers a lot despite the fact it is a council/government leisure centre. For people saying about the pool, lifestyles have an aquatics centre in Wavertree if that's all you're really looking for. The pool in Park Road is fit for the purpose as its a small community leisure centre.

Negative experience: Bit ridiculous they still have segregated times on the weekend.

Positive experience: Neighborhood lifestyles with great sessions in Spinning and Yoga. They also have swimming courses which are very affordable. The instructor for the swimming course is very good (Mandy). The pools are really small though and there are no private baths in them.

Positive experience: The three stars I am giving is only on reflection of the dated building The facilities for my little girls gymnastics are out of this world The gym is a little basic Will update on the sauna and steam after my next visit

Fantastic experience: Staff go above and beyond to help. Its great value for money, especially with the current membership scheme. Gets the job done and the classes from yoga to swimming lessons to HIIT accommodate all. Love that you can also rent out the sports hall for group sports activities.

Fantastic experience: Been going there for some spinning classes! I like sports, I consider myself active, I love cycling but I had no idea that a spinning class would be that challenging! The teacher is super nice, I always feel great after the class

Negative experience: If you are coming here to swim, DO NOT! There's all sorts of bugs and disgusting things inside the pool. The stench. Do not even get me started on the stench. The building is slowly rotting away and the staff are careless. So do yourself a favour and turn in the other direction of this disgraceful place! This doesn't even deserve one star. It's the only way I can post it lol.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgraceful. The pool stinks of urine, paper floating in the pool, hair in my mouth while I was swimming,toilets smell awful and you can smell the toilets in the pool, staff in the pool supposed to watch that your safe were reading the paper and texting. This terrible place should be closed down.

Positive experience: I took my daughter swimming as everyone said the water was lovely and warm. The signage from reception to the pool/changing rooms weren't very good and I got lost. Someone showed me the correct way. The staff on poolside were lovely and the pool was really warm. I'd definitely recommend.
