Negative experience: Reception was rude and condening and ruined my vibe

Majid Sadri 7 months ago

Negative experience: Disappeared I had a week free pass but after visiting the gym 3 times I decided to stay with my existing gym. Smelly steam room, old and tatty showers, Hopeless Sauna, too busy pool at times. Etc. but jacuzzi was the only good feature

Positive experience: Clean and quiet place , good gym and spa

Fantastic experience: I recently finished the 12 week Pain Management program with Nuffield Health, Leila was our personal trainer and took a group of 12 mixed age group with different pains & injuries twice a week. Leila showed us many things from how to do the exercises properly for our individual problems, training in the studio, using the gym equipment so we can build up our strength gradually, Leila has made the course fun and interesting also given us plenty of information and links to podcasts. I would recommend this program.

Lianne Doyle 9 months ago

Positive experience: The positives are 1) the personal training especially Leila. Really knowledgeable and supportive and specialised for joint pain too. 2) a well equipped gym and a good range of classes 3) nice vibe in the gym it’s not a muscle gym all are welcomed. Downsides - the changing rooms and general upkeep are pretty grim.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just completed the first 12 weeks of the pain course , I can honestly say it’s been fantastic, and helped me so very much , my pt I had was Leila cluett and was absolutely fantastic, but all the other pt’s were also just as kind and helpful . I was very nervous about joining as I have a disability and didn’t think I would fit in at the gym but I should never had worried, nobody in the gym are there to judge you which really helps with your confidence, and the gym is equipped to work around your disability and the pt’s are there to help you decide on what machines would suit or not be suitable for you . Also love how welcome your made to feel straight from entering Nuffield health every one is so kind and very helpful . The pain course is a fantastic idea for anyone who suffers with pain and it’s the only gym I’ve come across that offer you this course .. so thank you very much for making it happen it’s made my life a whole lot better ♥️

Fantastic experience: Nuffield Gym 12 week joint & pain relief classes have been an absolute life saver. From meeting Leila making friends with people who are in the same predicament as myself and then becoming friends has been a great experience. All staff are helpful & courteous. Pool, gym & equipment all in great order if your thinking of joining a gym then I would recommend this one

Karen Williams 9 months ago

Positive experience: I recently completed a 12-week pain program at the gym, and it was absolutely fantastic! Nuffield staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making each visit enjoyable. I also attended several classes, which were amazing—some of the instructors, and take the time to ensure you’re doing the exercises correctly, which is invaluable. While the changing rooms are always kept clean, they do need a little TLC, especially the showers. Lastly, a jacuzzi would be the cherry on top! Overall, it was a positive experience!

Fantastic experience: Staffs are increasingly helpful and friendly. They create very welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Highly recommend Nuffield Health Club.

Negative experience: Sauna is always extremely crowded. Many times no room to sit down, 8-9 ppl in a very small place, 3x3m maybe, should have been expanded long time ago.. Looking for another Gym now...

Suren Kanji 10 months ago

Negative experience: Antiquated equipment. Needs a serious upgrade.

Lakshmikanth Reddy 10 months ago

Negative experience: I have been member with this more than an year.. I need to admit the services of this gym is degrading day by day.. 1. Gym equipment doesn’t work from long and no service to them even reported no on cares. Example cross trainers out of 5 just 1 works perfectly. 2. No proper maintenance in sauna and steam room and they stink. 3. No tissues in dressing room and they say environment friendly for cost cutting. 4. Usually two hair dryers and but only one works to replace they usually take 6 months (it happened before).

Dean Young 11 months ago

Negative experience: Disgusting and Disappointing. The gym’s cleanliness is absolutely abhorrent. The changing rooms are foul-smelling and the showers and sinks are mouldy! The monthly fee certainly doesn’t reflect the poor quality of the facilities. To make matters worse, the staff, particularly the PT, were incredibly rude and aggressive, especially towards my young son. His induction session was so traumatic that it reduced him to tears. Once they had our membership fee, they couldn’t care less. Their dismissive attitude and refusal to cancel our contract, despite the terrible experience, is truly shocking. I strongly advise anyone considering joining this gym to think twice. Avoid this place at all costs

Maryann Fallon 1 year ago

Positive experience: I completed a joint program and it was excellent. The gym is very nice as well has a good selection of classed. I do aquarobics a lot and the showers need changing. Also need to have more then 2 private changing rooms as they always full. Other than that everything else is really hope.

Sukh P 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of this gym for 2 years now. Everyone is friendly, with plenty of classes for all abilities. The PT sessions with Ollie have been effective, for both my fat/loss and running performance goals. I thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I joined the Nuffield Health Joint Pain Programme and wished I'd done it earlier. Leila is a fantastic trainer, very supportive and encouraging. I'm 13wks in and I & others are already noticing a positive difference. I've also done a few classes and found all the staff lovely. The only issue I have is the poor state of the showers in the changing rooms.

Jules Williams 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Have just finished a Pain Management Course here which was excellent. Also joined a few other classes in the Pool and Studios. Have really enjoyed my time here as I have found the staff and trainers to be knowledgable friendly and the classes have been fun. However I do feel it’s time for the showers to have a complete overhaul! Apart from that feel very at home here. Thanks

Maria Joyce 1 year ago

Positive experience: Changing rooms need updating, gym looks a little tired, machines out of order, maybe need replacing. However, the staff are really friendly and make you feel very welcome. I would recommend gym to family and friends.

Positive experience: I joined the gym as part of the joint care program. The classes were helpful and the gym floor machines were great, lots to choose from that I haven’t seen in other gyms. The aqua class and dance class with Alicja were great.

Fantastic experience: This gym has everything you could possibly need. Great pool, excellent array of classes and equipment, lovely and very professional trainers and lovely staff. There’s also many other things you can have treatments for, for example physio. Excellent pricing as well.

Fantastic experience: I joined the Nuffield Joint Care Programme. It has been very useful and I feel fitter and stronger since the course began. The gym is great and our group trainer, Leila, has given me the confidence to go and use the equipment. There are also lots of classes to choose from, which I will be checking out.

Jaye Thompson 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I have just finished my joint pain programme and feel I have learned so much in just 12 weeks. Leila is very knowledgeable and supportive and has helped me to get confidence to be able to go onto the gym floor. Doing this programme has really helped me with my mental health. If you suffer with joint pain I would definitely recommend finding out more about the programme Nuffield offer.

Emily Rose 1 year ago

Positive experience: The classes here are so good! Great instructors. I like the pool, i do miss the hot tub so a shame that went. Could do with the changing rooms being re-done, they are a bit tired but definitely one of the best gyms in MK despite this, mostly because the staff are lovely and most of the gym users are friendly.

Dexter Valentino 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I’m doing the joint pain programme with Leila at nuffield health and it’s brilliant. She really makes you feel welcome and she delivers the course in a way, you learn so much. From pain management through mental health, yoga, cardio exercises and circuits that build confidence, strength, balance and a sense of wellbeing. Couldn’t recommend Leila highly enough.

Greg Leech 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym with tons of space, great pool, extremely friendly and experienced staff. There's a vast variety of machines for both cardio and strength training Really good variety of classes to choose from too. Can’t recommend enough

Fantastic experience: Kerry is always really helpful on the front desk, the gym itself is good, plenty of equipment and space, changing rooms always clean and tidy, nothing but good things to say.

Joe Warne 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: After trying several gyms in Milton Keynes, I think this is by far the best one. Wide range of classes, swimming pool, sauna and steam (granted steam isn’t always working but this doesn’t bother me). Friendly staff - always happy to help whenever you need, large open space - which is rare in MK it seems, great etiquette by other members - re racking weights after use, friendly and chatty etc, regular cleaning of machines and general tidying by staff. Honestly feel like Nuffield are on another level compared to most gyms in Mk. Equipment is a little outdated, but 20kg is 20kg right! Great range of machines, lots of mirrors, big free weight space. Can’t recommend enough, and you even get to watch people ski and snowboard whilst you workout! Fantastic

Ciprian Florin 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: It’s a good place , clean , customer service it’s alright , same as the trainer’s . The machines are in good condition . Long version - short , I’m happy with the place !

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Received amazing support and guidance from Leila Cluett during a free 12-week program for over 60s. I have now joined the gym, feeling more confident using equipment and knowing I can ask for help, if I need it. Highly recommend.

Positive experience: All the staff are really friendly and helpful. The personal trainers are fantastic, they are knowledgeable and encouraging. There is a great variety of facilities including a beautiful pool. The staff work really hard to ensure that the changing rooms are kept clean but some equipment is slow to be repaired. Using the website is easy and convenient.

Fantastic experience: I have recently completed the Joint Pain Programme run by Leila Cluett at Nuffield Gym. I cannot recommend this highly enough for anyone who has ongoing joint problems. Leila is an excellent teacher, patient, informative, friendly and supportive. The programme had a good balance of exercises supported with group discussions on various mental and physical issues to help with our progress. I continue to use the gym twice a week as recommended, working independently on the exercises learnt on the course.

Fantastic experience: I joined Nuffield gym as part of their Joint Pain Program and thought it was excellently run by Leila. The introduction’s to use of the apparatus and the classes worked very well. All the class leaders are very helpful and knowledgeable. I am very happy being a member.

Positive experience: I started the Nuffield Joint Pain Management Programme in January 2024 with Leila as my instructor. The 1st 12 weeks were programmed very well and in the last 4 weeks of that 12, I was given explicit training in how to use certain machines on the gym floor. I am now starting the 10th week in the second session of 12 weeks, when I work at my own pace within the gym. Other trainers are very helpful if I need assistance with any equipment. This week I used the pool for the first time and the attendant, Rachel, was most welcoming and helpful with advice. I did find the route back to the changing room a bit inconvenient and the shower cubicles were lacking in facilities like shelves and hooks.

Peter Drobecz 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Great place and excellent services expert advice on health, wellbeing and all aspects of gym

Nanna Kala 1 year ago

Positive experience: Lovely gym, staff superb, only real issue are the shower facilities, they are much better in the pool area and wondered if a changing area could be made there?

Janet Light 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I recently joined the Joint Pain Programme at Nuffield MK gym. From the beginning it has been a highly professional experience. Fern inducted me efficiently and the Joint Pain workouts have been perfect! Just enough to start bringing my health and fitness back up to where it needs to be but never too much that it causes a flare up in pain and sets back my progress. It is a spacious gym, I’ve never had to queue for a machine as in other gyms. I particularly appreciated the chance to meet a new group of friends. It’s a real treat for me to enjoy some pure “me time” at Nuffield with a friendly group of ladies. I highly recommend the joint pain programme, Fern and Nuffield in general.

Negative experience: Hygiene and a clean environment?! Surely not at this club! Just look at the before&after of the cleaning wipe I used on a mat before some exercise: dirtiness from the streets as they do not oblige people to use a pair of shoes for gym only, like other gyms in Europe and in other countries do! Let’s bot talk about their SPA area: there is always something broken, like the steam room that in the last year has remained open for no lore than3 months in totla, and has now been out of service for the past 9 weeks! At the question: when will it be fixed? The only answer is “soon, but we still do not know.” Avoid this place !

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff

Raffaele d'Apice 1 year ago

Negative experience: - The Steam Room has been out of order for the past 6 weeks (or more), and we still DO NOT know when it will be back in function (The team at the gym keeps on offering us a series of excuses to buy time, but you can clearly see how stressful this is becoming for them too) - Because of the above point, the sauna gets too often crowded and not always usable - In the last 2 weeks, the sauna smelled urine (ammonia) at least twice, and once I reported it (last Wednesday) to the reception that decided to close it. - It is now uncountable the number of times the steam room has been out of order in the past 4 years - Too often the benches of the sauna are sticky, and there are no chances to rinse them before sitting. NOT really the level of Hygiene one would expect to find in a gym like yours. Too often the machines of the gym (training area) are broken, and unusable - Using the SPA area of the gym too often becomes stressful and frustrating, when instead one wants to use it to get some proper relaxation. I am afraid these are not the conditions, nor the type of service Nuffield Health is willing to provide to their members. I'm giving one star but would really love to give ZERO!

Fantastic experience: Went for a swim today with family and Arun was there, had a little chat and he provided great service, thanks!

Positive experience: Just leaving this review to balance out some of the undeserved one star reviews that have been left recently! I have been a member on and off for five years. There's a broad range of classes and some wonderful instructors. Some of the equipment might not be the latest but it is perfectly adequate. This gym offers good value for money and aI enjoy attending 3-4 times a week. Thank you to the staff who keep it running.

Negative experience: You couldnt pay me to join!! Using today because refurb at Kents Hill Nuffield means today is male only swim day. During refurb we have the use of MK Nuffield. I will not use again. The changing and pool areas are dirty, full of screaming babies and toddlers and the showers are in an awful state. Probably THE worst gym/pool in Milton Keynes.

Negative experience: Poor old Nuffield! I have been a member now for well over 10+ years (also have a membership at a different gym). When I joined here it was Virgin and then Nuffield took over. This gym has so much potential but it's sadly not invested in or looked after at all. The truth is most of the equipment is from the year 2000 (no joke) when the gym opened under the name Health Land! With few machines and other bits being new-ish! It's not really enough! The whole gym needs a massive refit! The climbing wall is taking up much valuable gym floor space and is in some serious disrepair. The layout is terrible and not the most functional. I go first thing in the morning and the space becomes even more limited, when the Bootcamp sessions are on. Many of the trainers take up the whole available floor space and use so much of the already limited free weights and equipment without consideration of other gym members - which is the most frustrating thing. Because of this, the small available space around the floors get compact with members. The locker rooms and shower area again needs a complete overhaul and refit. They look tired, old, have a very musty smell. I don't use the pool, sauna and steam room so I can't comment on that. I also haven't been to a class since 2019 so again I can't comment on them either. However, the spin bikes (on the gym floor), are very old and dated! The one thing that keeps me as a member (as yes I have rated it 1*), is really the morning members who have turned into friends. There is a really nice core set of members during the morning week and it's so nice to walk in and see familiar faces. In regards to the gym experience, I wouldn't recommend joining here, unless you're really happy to spend/ invest your money in a gym that needs some serious TLC and 0 investment! This is something that Nuffield HQ needs to really look at, as the MK gym could be really profitable and a lovely experience. What they don't understand is although they have members (many loyal ones at that), they don't actually look after members in anyway or even create an environment where they highly recommend (if at all) or bring friends etc. The amount of times that "free/guest passes" are incentivised is not really good enough. Unless your new and have just joined, most long standing members just laugh at the offering. Nothing massive is going to happen and improve at this gym anytime soon (even with this review, as by the looks of the replies is just a copy and paste job). I've just stopped moaning and pointing out all the faults it has to management. I'm only sharing as I overhear new members on the gym floor and changing rooms complaining and expressing their disappointment oh joining!

Negative experience: Steam room was broke when I joined and took a while to get fixed. Staff decide who they want to talk to and will ignore some members when entering. Have spoke to various members who have had bad experiences with rude members of staff. A rude cleaner rolled his eyes at me when I apologised for wetting his polished floor (as I got out of the shower) but then proceeded to ignore me when I asked for his name. When I stated I was going to report him for his attitude towards a paying member he replied “yeah yeah”. Unbelievable in my opinion, the audacity is beyond comprehension. This must be clearly tolerated as other members had mentioned similar issues with the same member of staff and different ones also. When mentioning to a duty manager he responded with “I know who you mean, I’ll talk to him” which is probably about as far as it will go. I was initially enjoying my time here using the sauna but within 8 days of joining my experiences of the staffs attitude towards members was not acceptable. It is by far the worst 8 days of my entire 17 year fitness experience. Also, when asking about switching home clubs a member of staff gave information which was inconsistent with the contract. I’m glad it didn’t take me passed the 14 day cooling off period before the staff were rude. Luckily their true colours were shining bright for everyone to see! Big red flag

Negative experience: I was a member with Aylesbury transferred over to mk when moved.... cancelled my membership by popping in as everything is broken half the time changing rooms filthy jacuzzi never on!!! Negative experience: Very bad experience when I tried joining the gym, I went twice times to register with the gym but the one lady in the reception asks me to come before 8pm. I am a full time worker and I can only approach them after 8 as because my shifts ends at 7:45 and I need to drive again to reach the gym.

Negative experience: I'm a member and a couple of weeks noticed the fire exit plan it's not reflecting the layout of the facilities, one fire exit is actually locked with a padlock as per photo, emailed management, they decided to ignore my email regarding the subject. If they cut corners on something that is in plain eye imagine all the things we don't see. See the pictures I circled fire exit that now has a paddle lock.

Negative experience: This Gym has got progressively worse broken equipment not fixed for months not weeks. Equipment clearly not inspected or maintained, broken pedals and missing or broken pedal straps. Come on pull you socks up and have some pride in your work. I suppose it would be touch much to invest in some air con. Only interested in upselling one to one tuition. Shameless.

Negative experience: Clearly no pride of ownership or management by anyone, needs someone to grip up the whole experience or change the management. Pool area is dirty , stinky , rusty and the steam room is barely tepid, jacuzzi not switched on !! And always something broken ' waiting to be fixed ' Absolutely stinks of smelly wet dog with horrible gangster music being played. Negative experience: Lots of equipment constantly out of order as other reviews have advised with lots of equipment looking old and tired now too Gym is always hot, not sure why you'd have the heating on the gym, even budget gyms have air con on cool so you can comfortably do a work out. The changing rooms and showers are dated and needing a refurb, the bit between the changing rooms and pool absolutely stink every day. Jacuzzi often out of action and steam room is tepid. Not sure how they can justify a premium price tag for sub-standard offer. Really disappointing to be tied into a long membership with no reinvestment in facilities despite being a charity. Also find that suggestions for new equipment, which they encourage, are met with excuses and not solutions.

Negative experience: This place is clearly overpriced. Ppl going there have certain expectations due to their pricing & brand name. Had an appalling experience last Monday where shower head(common area shower by the pool) fell on my 9 yr old neck & suffered from severe neck pain for next few days, Doctor said its a whiplash injury. Nuffield hasn’t bothered to call back after a written complaint. Surprisingly when this happened there was no staff present in the area. This place is not value for money, their customer service is shocking & we don't get any service for wt we pay. Prices have been increased post covid with no improvement in service. Hair dryers have been taken away due to covid, which makes absolutely no sense as other gyms do have them. I’m stuck here due to one particular swim instructor probably time to move on if things don't change.

Positive experience: Amazing gym and very accepting to People with Disability needs.

Kish Vaja 4 years ago

Negative experience: Staff are really friendly but that's about it. The gym really needs a refurb and new equipment especially cardio. Been on the cross trainers and they feel like they are going to fall apart. Always seeing machines out of order etc. I'm only there because of Vitality and points (50% off). Otherwise for same price can get new gym.

Negative experience: Horrible Gym with horrible customer practices. Avoid at all cost. Equipment old and mostly busy with que to wait. very bad practices of customer service, where "Im sorry I cannot do anything" seems like a company motto. Very expensive compared to other places in UK.

Fantastic experience: A great friendly and very well equipped gym that's family focused, allowing children to train if accompanied by a parent. Swimming pool, sauna jacuzzi and steam room also. Friends and family discount memberships available also 40% discount for NHS workers. Free parking. Very clean and spacious gym with a great range of equipment.

Fantastic experience: This is not my home club (visited this morning ) Great facilities and well laid out. What really stood out for me was how brilliant the staff are. Really helpful guy in reception. When we entered the gym we were greeted by team member (who took our temperature etc He then went in to explain the “COVID safety rules “ one way system etc. This is the 4th Nuffield I’ve been in since lockdown was lifted. This is the first to have run me though the Covid rules (brilliant ) Andy (ops manager) Michael DGM) were the two team members who helped me

Fantastic experience: Mike is an absolute professional. He discussed all options available, a tour of the services and equipment on offer and provided me with a pass. Nuffield are lucky to have Mike on board! I will use my pass and will probably join owing to the professional approach shown by Mike and the facilities, equipment and classes on offer.

Positive experience: It's a clean, modern gym. Lots of weight machines. Steam room and sauna good. Need a padlock for the lockers.

Negative experience: On Tuesday the 31st December I entered the gym with a 3 day pass which I was hoping to use. I paid to park after a long time finding a space and travelling in heavy traffic. After showing (mike houpe the pass and filling out the Necessary form ) I was told I can’t enter the gym as I owed £37 in arrears which I told (mike houpe ) was incorrect as I had paid that bill and also that I have become a member again since in 2016 which I have evidence to show in email. I previously paid cash for my last membership. Mike then had an awfully unProfessional and nasty attitude towards me and took my pass and told me I was not having it back which I though was an outrage as that was my property which I could rightfully use at a time convenient for me. I hope this matter can be dealt with in a professional manner and my pass will be given back to me with a compensation for my horrible experience and time and money wasted. I have always been a big fan of Nuffield health club and have never once had such a horrible and embarrassing experience Mike should be held accountable for his actions and attitude and I would like to know what the outcome will be for his actions that he took against me.

Negative experience: Too hot, no ventilation and old machines. Temperature in the gym is the worst I have experienced. Most gyms provide a cool atmosphere to work out in but this one only is just terrible.

Positive experience: Joined Nuffield 4 weeks ago and I’m so thrilled with the overall experience. Great atmosphere, wonderful team and fabulous instructors (especially Susan!). Everyone seems genuinely happy to be there. Some aspects are a little tired and could be spruced up (changing rooms) and have you considered partnering with a cosmetic brand and supplying these in the change rooms? A really solid 4 outta 5, you’re doing great

Negative experience: Avoid joining this gym. Many of the machines are broken. I'm continuously being shocked by the running machines which I cannot use and the staff know there is a problem but never fixed. You'll be lucky to find a shower which works properly. Smelly changing room. Staff are rude. Not sure why I'm still a member as there are cheaper and better run gyms in Milton Keynes probably out of convince.

Positive experience: A fifth of the gym's equipment is always broken. All of the gym equipment is visibility worn down. The male toilets/showers smell very bad whereas the female's do not (changing room swap for one day). You'll find a lot of people do not put weights back, the staff try to keep it in-order during the evenings. A select few of the staff are lovely, some are not aware of membership policies/benefits,. Includes a swimming pool/sauna/steam room and a bad jacuzzi. Probably one of your best options for a gym in Milton Keynes with a swimming pool...if you get a corporate + joint discount

Fantastic experience: I am a pay as you go gym user and I enjoy my visit every time! Such friendly and helpful staff, lovely poolside and a large open plan gym. Also boasts lots of other services not available at most other gyms such as physio and on site doctor that I use from time to time.

Negative experience: I cancelled my subscription with them, following there instructions exactly, and just like lots of other reviewers they carried in trying to bill me! Now I’ve stopped the billing and still trying to cancel I’ve actually been sent a debt collection letter!! Three times I’ve confirmed with the staff at my gym that my account was cancelled and they keep acting like I owe them money. This is a very unethical company to deal with, for that reason alone I would avoid them like the plague. ** UPDATE ** Im now finding out im being charged for rest of my 12 month contract (£136) because i accepted a nominal discount on my membership apparently you then are committed to 12 months payments - like a mobile phone contract, except with nothing in return for the extra payments. Nuffield Health are thieves through deception and small print.

Negative experience: Terrible staff at the reception. It is always customers fault. I suggest find something basic which instead Nuffield Xscape if you are looking for better service. Rude reception staff AVOID. Nuffield Xscape is a JOKE. The duty manager never receives EMAILS! Can't be more professional thn this.

Alex Burton 6 years ago

Negative experience: Overpriced for what it is. Seems that something is always broken and never seems to get fixed. Steam room, sauna, dryers, treadmills etc. Staff are generally welcoming but it feels like they don’t do very much. Parking is a pain. You can bring a friend for free on a Friday and for £5 on a Monday which is great but considering you pay £43 a month on a 12 month contract, I was expecting more.

Positive experience: Good range if kit but a bit of a mess.

Negative experience: Customer service is not good!

Carl Richards 7 years ago

Negative experience: Gym is ok, finally fixed the unsightly hole above the pool. Treadmills fans full of diseased fluff that never gets cleaned out. Men’s changing rooms are rank, in the shower area you find rusty sprinkler and light fittings, mould behind the soap dispensers, mould around the ceiling and ceiling tiles, mould around the shower doors, hinges, floor and bins dirty, sinks blocked and changing rooms stink from a neglected infrastructure. Used to be ok before Nuffield took it over, seems to have been slowly allowed to rot.

Positive experience: I am a member of Nuffield and attend several of the other gyms - St. Albans, Aylesbury & Hemel - all of these seem nicer than MK.. The ladies showers are horrid, it's dark and dirty - very uninviting. The gym is not very inviting always seems dull and cold and it's also not very friendly. The classes are good and a pretty good variety. The spin classes are excellent with really good instructors.

Negative experience: Unfortunately bad experience with staff and health mot instructor - Twice the staff did not find my booking on the system for the health Mot. First time they rescheduled it for the next day as they couldn't find my name for that day booking. On going the next day, the staff still did not find me on the system and says nothing was available for that day. I had booked a childminder for that day for my son so that I could go for the appointment. . After much insisting she again finally found my name. When I went ahead for the Mot the finally the instructor asked how many hours since I had eaten. I mentioned 3 hrs. He said no it has to be at least 5 hrs so he said to book for another day. When I tried to mention to the instructor that when we make our booking please inform about such a crucial point of 5 hrs gap, but he was rude and said they cannot say this each time as there are more than 50 bookings per day. They don't have time. And to visit the website. How on earth one would know to check website or email for this booking. JUST ONE LINE to customer was not possible being one of the so called best gym. Oh forgot to mention on there website they say 2 hrs gap. So the information given was again wrong by the instructor. So finally I had to go back home. Its a real shame. Wish I could give 0 stars
