Fantastic experience: Honest review! Member since November 2023. Really big improvements. Gym has new equipment. All the lockers have been updated so no more missing keys. Men’s showers have been completely refurbished. Changing rooms are kept clean although they have no cleaning staff. The jacuzzi is working well. Steam room and sauna are very clean and sanitised. It seems to be improving all the time. Staff are very pleasant especially Dhiraj Gogna and (Lisa that works part time mornings ) The new manager has definitely made a difference. I would definitely recommend this gym to everyone. Gurjeevan Gill.

Positive experience: Slowly improving and more noticeable when a certain 6member of staff is on duty. They are trying so hard with little or no cleaning staff and the female changing rooms are much cleaner than before Christmas. Thank you

Negative experience: Huge lack of cleanliness and hygiene. Lack of equipment for weights and resistence machines. They charge a lot for equipment that is constantly in use even at off peak times. So not be fooled in paying a premium for a gym with a pool as this place has a lack of concern to customers well being as the gym is like a cesspit disgusting conditions that make you feel you need to get out of there asap. Hence I’ve cancelled my membership today.. DO NOT JOIN!!

Positive experience: The whole place is looking very worn and tired. Since Scott arrived it has started to be a lot cleaner and he is always around to answer questions and not in the gym.

Negative experience: They started off okay, however a month in and the lockers were unavailable and mostly broken 90%. No one ever answers emails and rarely on the phone. The availability outside of working hours is nonexistent. Changing rooms for ladies are constantly unavailable and you are pointed to have a third floor room to change in after your swim hmmm lovely walk across the open areas. When cancelling they don’t confirm it’s cancelled and then they try to send a debt recovery company on to you. For any fees that are due as you haven’t been able to cancel. The whole set up is a con and a rip off, shame on Holiday inns for allowing this at their establishment.

Negative experience: Was a member for just over a year. Great staff and members - shame about the owners who don't want to spend a penny. The mens changing facilities are cramped, mouldy, cracked tiles, broken lockers, missing shower doors ... the list goes on. Really not worth the £50 approx monthly subscription. I miss the classes and welcoming atmosphere. Should they spend some money - I would consider rejoining... There is a new manager - I hope one day I can return to find the improvements in place the members deserve.

Negative experience: As i was thinking about joining you ft i was given a pass for a free trial before i signed up. Male changing rooms filthy with no cleaning schedule anywhere to be seen. The locker keys have no bands on them so not sure if your meant to hold your key in your hand whilst you swim/workout ‍♂️. General upkeep of whole place is way below par steam room and sauna both dirty. Just seems like nobody can be bothered or has any pride or good management skills to get this place turned around to what could be a little gem. Don't think I'll be joining just yet

Fantastic experience: Hello I still thank all the bad comments I’m new supervisor at the health club as of 31/07/2023 am I will state club is cleaner than ever it’s running better and improved as of before I am dedicated and willing to change the way the past people have comment and judged the club for who run it before I can’t past judgement but I vow now I will keep it clean friendly well mannered and respectful I’ve made great connections in my first week and I hope to continue I have vow to help anyone and everyone who wants to help themselves life is a living challenge but also a life to improve on and genuinely I hope all old and new members enjoy what me and my team push forward with we ain’t who was in the pictures of the bad comments but I thank them to show what needs to improve but also someone maybe away from desk as we do have a gym and studio to keep eyes on too But feel free to come In and see me ask for Scott the supervisor and I will make sure if I’m not on you will receive my business card to get hold of me and I will do 100% of my best to help you like I’ve helped many before and help improve you fit health clubs we fit you fit!!!! Negative experience: Sadly, YouFit Birmingham has really gone downhill over the last 6 months. Women’s showers were out of action for a long time, women’s changing rooms were then completely closed. The whole place needs a deep clean and redecorating. Pool is often cold, sometimes closed completely. Hot tub has been out of action for a while. Staffing issues over the last couple of months has meant they’ve sometimes had to close in the afternoon which is no good for those who can only come in the evening. And a complete disregard for the members who have been paying monthly and not received their full membership. No apologies or offers of compensation- a month free or some complimentary day passes for friends and family would be a nice gesture but no, nothing. I wouldn’t recommend anyone joins here at the moment.

Negative experience: No staff on the desk on arrival and no bell you can ring. Wondered round and a young girl was cleaning the mirrors in the studio - asked if she worked there and she said no (seems she actually didn't - not sure why she was cleaning). The chap eventually returned to the desk and was helpful. Jacuzzi out of action and female changing rooms out of action - it was the 'open weekend' so you'd have thought they'd have remedied these issues. Worst of all, the place literally seems to have never been cleaned - see images. This was just the tip of the iceberg - green mould and grime by the shower on the poolside, pubic hair by the shower, litter and debris on the poolside and in the changing rooms. Honestly I'm not overreacting - I scraped some brown grime off the men's showers with my flipflop - this is months or years of grime - not a day worth. It was free entry so can't really complain, but certainly won't be signing up. Don't know why they can't recognise the lack of cleanliness to be an issue - surely they wouldn't like their house to be that dirty, so why is it okay to allow the same for customers?

Fantastic experience: Staff are extremely friendly and patient on a very busy Bank Holiday, visited as a Hotel costumer, but still get first class treatment. Can't appreciate the staff enough for being extreme friendly to me and my family.

Negative experience: Why has the boiler broke again? This is awful especially after we have waited so long. I truly believe the boiler should have been tested before hand to rectified any issues. So so angry with youfit is this place run professionally... No!!! They should be in our shoes and pay full membership they may get things sorted. I am going to see how it goes as I feel doubtful that the staff especially the manager should be pushing for the members.

Positive experience: Nice enough place to visit for the local area, could use a bit of a spruce up but other than that it’s definitely worth checking out!

Negative experience: I could not use jacuzzi as it was full of big men. I did not feel comfortable going in there with them and they never got out. They sat in there for over an hour with no consideration for anyone else.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing staff who are super friendly and patient. I like the facilities steam and sauna is always at a satisfactory temperature. The jacuzzi is nice also. Male changing rooms are clean. I would definitely recommend.

Positive experience: Friendly staff who are also helpful, it's a busy little place! The aqua classes need to be spread equally so people at work can attend too. Maybe you could arrange an aqua class in the evening, the two classes running in the daytime are very popular. I agree with a previous review that the whole area could be kept more cleaner as you do charge a premium.

Positive experience: Nice Gym, not too big and has sauna, steam room, swimming pool and two studios... Be weary of parking - actually got a letter from ParkingEye telling me I had to pay a fine, but Gareth at Spirit Gym sorted it out for me so didnt have to pay in the end.

Positive experience: The amount of gym fee they charge they should be able to maintain the place better. Needs to be more clean . The gym equipment needs updating

Negative experience: Very small gym with little equipment.
