Negative experience: For all people who are interested in promo membership READ THIS BEFORE YOU WILL SIGN UP!!! The place is so dirty that you will be disgusted to use it. During the promo time all facilities are spotless but wait couple of weeks and you will see the dirt and mold everywhere (see the pictures attached). Staff when asked how often they clean changing rooms answered every day. Really?! Mold on showers floors and walls, thick layer of dust covering walls and doors in changing room, steam room that never works and bacteria cultivation on sauna floor. Horrible customer service and a manager that will ignore you. Save yourself a time, stress and money as if you would like to cancel your membership they will ask you to pay for early cancellation as your membership will not be with Ardoe House itself but with external company called DFC. DFC MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION If you want to cancel your membership don’t get scared when you will be advised that you have to pay the difference between your discounted rate and normal rate for all months since you joined. Sent an email to DFC with the reason for cancellation, e.g. bad condition of facilities and attached the pictures showing how dirty the place! Mine was cancelled within 2 days without additional fees.

Negative experience: I unwittingly took out a 3 yr membership in April 2022 - despite assurances that I could cancel at anytime. I would NEVER have signs up for a 3 year contract!!! I since discovered (on trying to cancel membership) that my membership is NOT with Ardoe house leisure but with a company called Creative fitness marketing (CFM). I managed to get in touch with Dean Godfrey their CEO who told me to contact DFC (Debit Collection Services) . On contacting them by phone I asked how I went about cancelling my membership early - I have till 1st April 2025 left. 7 x £41 = £287. I was told I’d have to pay the balance based on current full membership which would be in access of £700!!! I cannot believe this! I have not been able to use my membership for almost a year as I don’t have the use of a car on a regular basis now and there is no way to get there (sensibly) using public transport. This is an out and out scam and I warn anyone of being taken in by this ‘special’ membership price. I only wanted to get a bit trimmer for my daughter’s wedding in October 2022 and now I am still paying out two years later for a membership I don’t want.

Fantastic experience:

Negative experience: Very bad customer service, I am waiting the phone call from manager 3 months, take the money from band account and don't tell the nothing. Changing room - more then half storage units doesn't work, sauna floor need to clean, all the time steam room doesn't work, cold water in the swimming pool. And a lot of another complaints.

Negative experience: The quality of the spa facilities has significantly reduced since my last visit. The floor in the sauna needs a deep clean (rubbish under the benches, funky smell), the shower bucket is missing a handle and cannot be used. There was no soap in the disabled toilet (!!!) and showers. I wouldn't expect this in a 4 star hotel. This place is lacking proper maintenance.

Fantastic experience: Ardoe has been out place to go for nearly 20 years, this visit we did see a difference from previous years but hope they can maintain the standards we have loved over the years.
