Fantastic experience: Took my 5 month old baby girl swimming for the first time and it was lovely. Called ahead and a nice receptionist helped get me booked in. All of the staff here were really friendly. Changing room was clean too. We’ll definitely be back :)

Negative experience: The swimming pool is terrible,to be honest it needs renovation.. Hair dryer doesn't work! The receptionist told me that she doesn't know when it will be fixed, and she knows it's broken! The women's changing room was full of 7-9 years old boys with their mothers! (Their dad was in the pool too.) I do not recommend this place!

Negative experience: The swimming facility is Good! The gym on the other hand is not great. For £30pm i'd reccommend looking into better gyms. The gym is a total of about 15 machines and a weight station. Half of the gym is cardio machines which are working and well taken care of by the gym members, the other half are upper body and leg machines, the problem is all of the leg machines (3 machines) are out of order and in the 2 months that I have been going to this gym they have not been fixed or working. The upper body machines are outdated, rusty and covered in dirt as they are not cleaned or maintained.

Negative experience: The website is impossible to navigate.. can not find anywhere on it where I can buy a day pass for the gym. Upon calling multiple times no one answers the phone. A shame because this is my local centre and I don’t drive so it’s a pain to get to other ones.

Negative experience: Beware of false advertising. After arriving to the place we were asked to pay for our pre-booked free trial. Stuff is rude and not helpful.

They're all dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable environment. Consistently targeting and encouraging each individual's experience and individual needs. They're diligent, reactive, and all genuinely care to listen and understand fully the needs and demands of every person that attends Shoeburyness Leisure Centre. Fantastic experience: Just joined, was very happy with tour around gym n swimming area. Also very clean & staff polite & helpful. Can't wait to go for my 1st workout & swim.

Positive experience: It's small, but the gym has all that I need. There are cable machines, a good selection of free weights (dumbbells and kettle bells), a sand bag, a good selection of machines and it's wheelchair accessible.

Positive experience: So nice and clean around the pool you can see the difference from pre lockdown! Guys at the desk were helpful sorting us out a card. I do think the changing room could do with a tidy up and some better drainage as if your not careful you stand in what seems like dirty water this is in the individual changing rooms. The baby changing table is rusty and isn't level dips down towards the floor feels very unstable really needs to be looked at!

Fantastic experience: Very nice and pleasantly quiet place, often go there to play basketball. Staff are all very kind and helpful (especially Bob). Court quality is decent, a little creaky, but for the prices, it is very valuable. Swimming facilities are also very good, a small, shallow pool for the younger children and a larger pool around 15m. Very family friendly and recommend to all

Positive experience: Today's day trip with children £9 for four of us three kids and one adult a bargain, the changing rooms were warm but tired needs a but if a revamp but the pool was fine and we had a fun afternoon. We went to the library after too perfect

Negative experience: Very unhygienic. Have complained twice to staff and no action taken. Children have cut their feet on the bottom of the pool. Very sad that the pool is not well maintained and also changing rooms are dirty

Positive experience: Pretty good centre, good efficient staff. Good for a cheap and healthy afternoon with the kids. 13.15 to 14.15 its float fun so good time to go. Costs £4 quid ish for adults and £2 for kids. Unlike Garons swimming pool nearby there is no time limit here on how long you can stay.

Negative experience: Very out of date and in need of a refurb badly . You can't really call it a gym either as it's so small. The changing rooms are like something from the 1990's . The pool is ok but again small and you can only use it at certain times and your not allowed access to certain changing rooms during school times as it's shared with the school

Negative experience: Pretty run down neglected leisure centre. Has loads of potential but poor management let it down. Fusion leisure plough 1.2 million into garrons but leave the local centres to rot. Old poorly maintained equipment and poor hygiene .

Positive experience: As far as swimming goes it's fine if all you want to do is swim but the little pool doesn't have any activities or toys at all so it's pretty boring for kids.

Positive experience: I went today and there was brown/orange scum around the edge of the pools, like when the bath needs a clean except it's a massive bath and that scum has come from hundreds and hundreds of strangers. The first 3 (very old looking) lockers I tried ate my pound coins. The whole place needs a good scrub and a lick of paint. On the plus side, the teenagers running the place were all very nice and helpful.
