Fantastic experience: Really good gym, great classes (especially yoga) and nice swimming pool

Fantastic experience: A fantastic gym for the following reasons: * brilliant range of bodybuilding, cardio and boxing equipment (including ring). * very friendly members (I was in the area visiting the in-laws, and I can't think of many friendlier gyms that I've been to, and I've even to a fair few across the UK over the years). * it shouldn't be surprising that the members are friendly as the owner, Olly, is very friendly and goes out of his way to help. When you're visiting from out of town it can be easy for gym owners to not really spend too much effort with you but Olly went out of his way to make sure I could get my training in over the Christmas period. If I lived in the southend area I would definitely be a member here. Looking forward to visiting again when next in town.

Fantastic experience: An independent gym run by a local bodybuilder and PT Olly, with no shortage of weights or equipment. Lovely atmosphere, really friendly and easy to get to and park. A world away from the pretend gyms out there. They have a boxing ring and punch bags too on the upper mezzanine floor. The gym was a former grain warehouse I think, which has been converted to commercial use and it just makes it a charming place to train that has an edge to it. The owner is incredibly helpful and everyone who trains there is pleasant. Can't fault it. Love it. Great for legs training.

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym! Sadly all of the old school gyms are dying out and being replaced by chain gyms with zero character. This gym has that old school character and feel. It also has an excellent variety of of equipment, free weights, cables, strength machines, bags, cardio machines, racks etc. Olly the owner is very personable and you can tell from talking with him that he has a passion for what he does. A visit there isnt complete without hanging with his sidekick Henry!! (His dog). :)
