Fantastic experience: Good pool facilities. Can get very busy but time slots help with this. Needs a bigger Carpark, but would highly recommend.

Positive experience: Massive swimming pool complex with plenty of things to see and do,great fun for all the family. Big accessible car park and food and drink vendors upstairs.

Negative experience: I was with my kids today at Family fan. The river wasn't working, the showers weren't working. And there was so much chlorine from everyone that my eyes hurt. I don't know what happened today but the price wasn't worth it.

Negative experience: BEWARE OF SHARP TILES At the end of the rapid, and by the kids tiled slide pool! This has been like this for over 15 years, i cut my foot many years ago and again today in exactly the same place! Huge lack of maintenance and house keeping, Very unhygienic changing room. Wont be returning here

Negative experience: Thoroughly disappointed and upset with the customer service here. I would usually always recommend this place to anyone with children just as I did to my partner. So she went with her son, but upon arrival to romsey rapids she bought arm bands but struggled to get them inflated and when she asked a life guard he refused to do it for her, she then approached staff who gave her the same answer…this is unacceptable if you ask me and it resulted in her crying. How can you refuse to help a paying customer inflate their arm bands that they bought from you…extremely dissapointed by this.

Negative experience: How do you get someone to answer the phone I've tried three times today & been on hold for more than ten minutes each time, incredibly frustrating

Negative experience: Is a good place for leisure . Pool is fine and very friendly fir kids . The gym area a bit overcrowded with machines and sometimes the music is to loud . Clean toilets . Why they are not fixing the sink from disabled toilet? There are7 weeks out of order......?

Negative experience: Cannot believe the behaviour of the staff in Costa this morning. All 3 girls shouting and screaming over the banister at a member of the public with a baby. Something about staff filming a child. This type of behaviour from staff is not acceptable and should not go unnoticed.

Negative experience: ❌️❌️ this place should be ashamed for allowing staff at Costa coffee to video children and send it to other staff members including management.❌️❌️ When confronted about it the girl used bad language and answered with "I can do what I want". This is absolutely discussing behaviour and she should NOT be allowed to work next to a children's play area ❌️❌️ This has been reported to head office and the police.

Positive experience: First time visiting this pool. Booked online and was checked in quickly at the entrance. Fairly impressed by the site, mostly clean but there was some rubbish in the changing rooms and everyone wearing outdoor shoes in there as well which is unpleasant given people are then walking back through barefoot and into the pool. Could do with a shoe rack at the top of the stairs with no outdoor shoes allowed in the changing area. We had a good session but could have stayed longer as my son was disappointed it was over. Overall a good experience, just a shame about the muddy shoes.

Negative experience: I cannot advise that you travel any distance to this facility with your children for Family Fun swimming. I have been to Romsey Rapids maybe 6 or 7 times. On two of these occasions, so over 25% of visits, we were ejected from the pool along with everyone else due to low chlorine levels. What is the point? I'm not going back.

Negative experience: Just been to Romsey Rapids for a special quiet SEN only session arranged by a local group. Upon arrival with my autistic daughter and family we we told along with the rest of the group that the session had been double booked and we wouldn’t be allowed in. My daughter who had been looking forward to the activity for weeks had a meltdown because of the disappointment caused. Complete lack of understanding of the SEN community. I appreciate double bookings occur but advance warning would have helped.

Positive experience: It's a great pool for kids, great facility. Changing rooms need updating.

Fantastic experience: Busy but the kids loved it

Positive experience: Used the Health Suite only. A bit disappointing. The male changing rooms are only big enough for 2 people at a time. The lockers don't lock, unless you have brought your own padlock (what's that about!). The sauna was only at 70⁰c. The steam room was hot enough but had enough menthol in the steam to sting your eyes. Some of the other customers were using phones to have loud conversations in the relaxing area, loud enough to hear every word in the sauna. Some people weren't using towels to sit on. All in all a bit of a strange experience.

Fantastic experience: Had a great Costa here, looks like a very clean and well organised sports centre

Took our 8year old, 7year old and 5 month old, wasn't busy. we got a family changing room straight away, water was warm enough for the baby and slide queue was small. Rapid was fun but forgot about the double whammy of the pumps at the end so lifted the baby over it :) great price, very clean and lots of friendly staff

Positive experience: We had a fun time at the rapids. The rapids and the flume slide provide fun for all ages. Pirate ship fun for toddlers too! Yo ho ho.

Fantastic experience: It’s been 25 years since my last visit but I now have the excuse to return with my own children and it is just as good as I remember. The kids are now big fans too. Fair price, free parking and great fun. The warmer small pool and pirate boat were perfect for the 3 and 5 year old whilst the 7 year old spent his time in the rapids and on the flume. Staff were friendly, changing area was clean with plenty of cubicles and lockers work fine with a £1 coin. Pool wasn’t too cold and an hour flew by. It was pretty busy in there but that didn’t detract anything from the experience. If the kids suggest they want to go back I will not hestitate to take them again.

Fantastic experience: Staff: Having never visited this complex before as we are from another part of the country, we were very impressed. As soon as we arrived a young lady asked us to come up to a part of the building she referred to as "The Bridge" which overlooked the pool, so she could book everyone in at the same time. We waited for a few minutes while my daughter overlooked the pool in amazement. From entering the complex all of the way through to leaving, everyone seemed happy and enthusiastic. When we were waiting to enter the pool, there was a call out for all life guards to get to the pool side ready for people to enter the pool, I have never seen so many life guards all appear at the same time, usually most places I go have 1-2... This place had about 10 working, all at the same time! The Pool: Nothing short of amazing! We had rapids, slides and overflowing buckets of water, everything was working and accessible for all ages. There are zones for all ages ranging from 0.75m to 1.2m which can be accessed without ever leaving the pool. The water itself was warm and clean, everyone in the pool appeared to be thoroughly enjoying their experience. Parking: Parking was free for up to 4 hours (no ticket needed) and plentiful. Conclusion: If we are ever back in this area, we will definitely be looking to visit this complex again.

Negative experience: Rip off wanting swimming lesson for 2 children but have to pay £20joining fee each bs anything to get money

Fantastic experience: Second visit, nice pool for kids and family to enjoy, price is very reasonable perfect for family as we still had to travel to the distanation , nice slide which kids love to go on , can get busy good number of staff having to keep an eye on. Will visit again for sure.

Negative experience: Arriving at the leisure centre I was rather disappointed with the very unenthusiastic member of staff at the desk. We had booked for swimming and she seemed annoyed with our question when pointing in the direction of the stairs. Once in the swimming line the member of staff there also lacked care in their role. We were given wristbands but were not given information about our time in the pool. How long it was for, what the sections were or when the bucket flowed out (which it didn't during our swim.) The facilities were good just a shame the staff did not offer a friendly or welcoming service.

Positive experience: It was ok maybe could have had an extra 30 minutes there but you only get a short time there because you have to leave when you colour band is called

Negative experience: Way too many people let in the pool. Couldn't move and felt unsafe . I wonder legally how many people can be in there at one time as surely today was over the limit

Negative experience: The water slide has been out of order for weeks, and they are still charging full price. To every question I asked, the manager ( looks like a teenager )responded with I don`t know. When is it being fixed, have you arranged with somebody already for it to be fixed, who is dealing with it, is anybody in charge of arrangig for it to be fixed, I don`t know, I don`t know, I don`t know. What a disgrace. I am surprised the manager has kept his job despite his incompetence. They only employ teenage staff, the toilets are filthy, there is mold everywhere in the pool . I cannot explain how anybody would think a teenager can keep toilets clean and provide an acceptable level of service.

Positive experience: Good fun when the rapids are actually on but the water is always a bit cold, even in the hot tub bit. But still doesn't stop us travelling from Bournemouth and the price is really reasonable.

Positive experience: Relatively clean ,friendly staff. Downside for the swimming is they don't always put the rapids on and the slide is not always available the water has been cold the majority of the times visiting.

Positive experience: Flume was shut which was a shame although we knew that when we booked the price was still the same cost which is a bit disappointing as we didn't get that facility. Positive experience: It's fine. My kids have a great time mooching through the lazy river, but it's really hard to swim because of the volume of people. That's not the fault of the ownership or anything; just a fact of life.

Positive experience: Ok for the money but needs uplifting. Bench press seat broken for weeks now, several showers and toilets broken. Needs some TLC. red sauna stinky. Good staff. How about adding multiple items to the checkout at the same time when booking instead of going through the process of adding another. Update: No change. I was a facilities manager for 7 years - it's not hard to get the basics right! Health suite needs a good refresh, fix the chest press machine please.

Fantastic experience: Great place to take kids, my daughter really enjoys swimming they also do a carers ticket as well so we will be taking her more often. With the slides and plenty or different areas so much to do.

Positive experience: Took my grandson to family fun session, plenty there to keep him occupied. On the downside, thought it was a little overcrowded because it was very difficult to find space to swim without bumping into someone. It was very clean and good facilities, enjoyed a coffee in the Costa café after our swim

Fantastic experience: Having visited a fair few years back, I couldn't really remember what Romsey rapids was like. So I decided to take my son along with some of our friends. It's so nice to find a fun pool for kids. Most places these days are just a simple pool, but Romsey has so much for kids to do and plenty of space for everyone. Free parking and a much needed Costa after a energetic morning. Well worth a visit!

Positive experience: Really love this place but 3 stars given as I was really disappointed last time we went. I booked my family to do their golf and swim sessions (offer they had if you booked together you got it discounted) we went for our swim at the slotted time then went to go and do the golf only to be told that it was closing in 10 mins so cannot do it. When arriving the lady on reception did not make me aware that we wouldn't have had time to do both. I also complained that I booked these times online why did it let me book it when we realistically cannot do it.

Positive experience: Attended for the soft play, which was clean and well maintained, if fairly small. Feel sorry for the café staff who were rushed off their for the entire time I was there

Negative experience: My daughter has been attending swimming classes here for over a year. They are reasonably priced and I have seen her progress. She’s recently moved up to stage 3, going into the deeper pool which she was really nervous about. Going in for the first time, she asked me to walk her in and just mention it to the teacher. I did that, hoping the teacher will spare 3 seconds to reassure her and at least say - hello, don’t worry, you’re in good hands. Instead, I got a curt reply on the lines of - they’re all nervous. My daughter got in the pool reluctantly and then got told right away to swim into the middle with no floats which she refused to do. The teacher just repeated ‘come on, swim’ at her a few times before they all got practising with floaties and she eventually joined. Towards the end of the lesson, the teacher gathered them at the edge of the pool and started explaining some things and I watched my daughter hold her hand up for 3 minutes to ask her to speak up, and the teacher completely ignoring her. We came back the week after and my daughter wouldn’t even get out of the car. I understand that these lessons are very busy, there’s lots of kids and only half an hour but being encouraging and supportive goes a long way, particularly with kids. I’ve previously seen another teacher (who doesn’t work there anymore) impatiently make faces at a kid who was taking longer to do something. I think revising staff’s attitude would be beneficial. Lessons should be fun, teachers supportive and praising, so it doesn’t feel like a chore.

Positive experience: Nice, clean leisure centre. Pools look good, we went during the week so was quiet.

Positive experience: The kids enjoyed it. As a spectator, I will say it wasn't very wheelchair friendly, found it hard to get around (tight), and to Costa, and disabled toilet wasn't well signed either.

Fantastic experience: Nice clean centre with a warm pool, I use it in the mornings when I can for lane swimming. The staff are always friendly, even at that time in the morning. There is always plenty of spare lockers and changing facilities. The showers a quite warm they are fine for me, but I think maybe a little too warm for young children, I know mine wouldn't like it. Overall I enjoy swimming there and plan to bring my family soon.

Fantastic experience: I went with my wife and daughters (9 & 11) and as soon as we got to the car afterwards, my 9 year old said, "We have GOT to come back here!" There's 3 general areas: the Lazy River rapids, a splash park and a still zone for swimming lengths. The only downside that my wife and I were aware of was that the current in the rapids was quite strong, so you could get separated from your children if you're nit careful. There's also a hot tub and a water slide (plus two slides for children) and the hour passed in a flash. Well worth a visit.

Positive experience: Decent enough pool, and the rapids are fun, but the changing room area really wasn't especially clean. More could be done to ensure muddy shoes aren't taken into the changing area, to keep the place just a bit cleaner. Otherwise, a fun afternoon.

Positive experience: It's not a great swimming place It's all shallow pools. Deepest is 1m20. It's a great place for kids to learn to swim & play & splash around. But it's lacking for adults really

Fantastic experience: 5 stars, cause the water was warm and I didn't freeze to death as often at water parks while queuing at the slide It's a perfect place for families with younger children. Me and my kids (9 and 12 years old)enjoyed the slide and swimming around the biggest pool-it's only 1.2meters deep. There are many shallow pools and entertainment for very little children and a small jacuzzi. There's Costa cafe next to the pool. Nice place, we enjoyed our visit here.

Our kids absolutely loved it! The size and depth of the pool catered to different age groups, offering a safe and fun environment for everyone. Fantastic experience: We did book time in soft play. It didn't feel that we needed it. The big positive is the swimming pool. Very organised, get there on time, they will let you in 10minutes before the booked time. Can't complain.

Fantastic experience: This place has been going for decades! I went as a kid and took my kids the other day. It's really good. And still going strong!? Staff are great. One offered me a locker token as I didn't have one. You do need a pound for the lockers! Parking is free! Warning it does get busy but go at lunch time is a good tip!

Positive experience: Been coming here since it opened, when I was the age my son is now. I have many happy memories of the place from back then. My son loves it, having been twice now, but even he says how dirty the changing rooms are. Such a shame, it really is looking a bit neglected these days. Lots of lifeguards around, although many of them look pretty glum! Ultimately it's a good fun place for small people and if you hit it at the right time it's not too crowded. You need a £1 coin for the lockers which caught me out, I just don't really carry cash these days.

Positive experience: Took our autistic daughter here on her birthday (swimming is one of the only things that regulates her) and it was great! The soft play has a fault on the door so if you go out to the cafe, someone inside will need to let you back in, seems the barcode only works once! The pool is fun, a little on the cool side but she was happy. The queue for the cafe was a little on the long side, perhaps unavoidable with the amount of people using it, but then only 1 member of staff serving.. All in all, would definitely go back!

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool. Plenty to do, different slides depending on age range. Three different pools. Great rapids that carry you around. Lots of changes rooms, good showers, clean and tidy.

Positive experience: We attended on a very busy day and everywhere in the complex was pretty much to capacity. The changing cubicle can only be described as disgusting with a discarded sanitary product and tissues on the floor. This was pointed out to a member of staff and he did take action straight away. Other than that we had a great time and will come again very soon.

Positive experience: Nice place to take the kids. Reasonable price and a single flume...often busy do maybe for slightly older kids if you don't want to queue with todlers. Costa cafe there.

Positive experience: Great pool, 3 kids 13-17 loved it. Busy and my only beef was adults putting bags and coats on chairs and being no where near so I had no where on the balcony to sit down with me coffee and food. This was for almost an hour, not great and think should be a notices up to stop this. But great other than that.

Positive experience: Not a very nice experience for us as a family of 4 Changing rooms were filthy dirty Pool water wasnt that much better as there was scum on the sides of the pool, Could do with a dam good clean and should have a member of staff cleaning the changing rooms constantly. Fantastic experience: The kids love the activity pool with rapids, water jets, flume, etc. Very reasonably priced too at £5.50 for age up to 15. Costa coffee for adults where you can watch from above. Good idea to take noise cancelling headphones and wear shorts though as it's pretty noisy and humid!

Positive experience: Fun pool to visit for splashing around with the children, rapids push you round and out across half the pool - just be aware you can't get a swim in, as it's packed. Long queue for the slide (10 mins standing on stairs) with only 1 hour wristbands, time it well!

Fantastic experience: Such a brilliant place to swim with the kids. The rapids are super fun and actually are quite fast flowing. The slide is good fun too. My DS could have stayed in longer but they operate a wrist band one hour session. Changing rooms are limited and some quite small especially when it would be mainly families using them. Showers are hot and powerful so no complaints there. There is a Costa on site with loads of space for a coffee and cake afterwards. Well worth a visit, we went into the first session so not many people, once the second session started run half hour later it got a lot busier.

Negative experience: Very disappointed when I went over a week ago the pool was not warm enough at all my little girls lips started turning blue and I had to get her out the pool and I had to get her warm quickly, I asked for help from the life guard she said she would radio through and never did no one came I spoke a receptionist and they was so lovely they said I’m so sorry this has happened I’m not the first to complain I asked to speak to a manger as I asked if they radioed through and never did for medical assistance which is very poor as no one did. When I got home I rang to speak to the manager and I was put through to him he didn’t seem interested at all he said he would check pool temp but it’s normally 29 he said there was no way that pool was 29 degrees, I got no sorry he didn’t seem interested at all and was quite rude and my girls came down with a cold and not being very well and still isn’t well now very disappointed with the life guards and the manager. Very disappointed I didn’t even get a apology and the manager didn’t seem interested when I told him and the fact the life guards didn’t help me to I am not happy at all, also wasn’t impressed with the cleaness.

Positive experience: I’d read that this place had been recently refurbished but it looks tired. The jets in the rapids are too high (or the water level is too low) so instead of water pressure whizzing you round you just get repeatedly sprayed in the face

Fantastic experience: Came here with my two children 11 and 13. Free parking up to four hours, cafe and shop in case you forget your trunks! If you're not swimming you can sit to the side and watch. It gets busy over half term and summer so I'd go as early as you can. Changing rooms need £1 for lockers, get early enough and you should get a changing room or family room. Lazy river, jacuzzi, and big slide are the highlights, cue for the slide will be about 1 minute per two people in the queue, but never that lengthy. Showers are fine. Great fun though, definitely recommend

Positive experience: I do like RR, I've been there many times as a child. My only issue is that after all the years and refurbs, the swimming pool is the same, very dirty and dated. The changing village was horrific, and there is nowhere to remove your shoes, meaning people walk their dirty shoes into the changing area, turning it into a swamp. I have nightmares about the gunk and hair on my feet....

Good points: -Everything was on and working( such as rapids, slides, etc) -Reasonably priced -book online for guarantee spot -kids really enjoyed the kids' play area -has a Costa and sitting area, some seats looking over the swimming pool. -plenty of staff around poolside keeping watch Bad points: -Not enough changing cubicles, we lost out on swimming time as there weren't any free due to there not being many. -The changing rooms needed cleaning, lots of muck around the floor & rubbish lying around. -When checking in, the staff member stood next to us, showing us the ipad with the booking slots, showing us everyone's information such as email addresses, etc. So data protection training needs to be addressed.

Fantastic experience: Just had a fantastic family fun session, not too crowded. Changing rooms are very clean and the showers hot.

Positive experience: We went with family and extended family with additional needs, got hear early and they let us straight in so we didn't have to wait in line. Its not the biggest place but was good for an hours fun.

Positive experience: Great variety of classes and nice clean gym facilities. The booking app is also very easy to use. There could be a bit more information when you first start, but overall it’s a great place!

Negative experience: My partner called before booking to use the health spa to confirm that it was all up and running, hot tub, steam room & sauna. All we were told wasn't working was the steam room, which we had no issue with. When we arrived and paid for the day pass noone mentioned timings, etc. We spent 10 minutes in the hot tub (which wasn't even working properly) before we were told to get out as the pool shuts at 1 pm. We went upstairs and used the sauna for again all of 10 minutes before a member told us that it also shuts in the next 5 minutes because of the cost of living crisis they shut to save on electricity. We complained at the deck and got a partial refund. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement, and we definitely won't be returning, nor would we recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great place to swim in a fun way. Definitely for young and old. It's just a bit humid inside, which is understandable. My husband struggled a bit being asthmatic but he would just pop right outside for some fresh air for a while.

Fantastic experience: Lovely and clean. Good range of cardio including stair climbing. Nice staff. Everything you could want. Large swimming pool, but I didn't visit as I like gyms.

Positive experience: Great place to gale the kids, pools nuce and warm with the toddler section even warmer. Changing rooms were nice and clean all round good trip for the kids

Positive experience: We drive over a hour to come here, kids love it however last time we came there was a festival and we arrived 30mins early and it took 45 mins of driving around the car park trying to get parked as everyone used there car park it was manic cars parked on grass verges and infront of other cars. The receptionist still booked us in for our time slot but by the time we got in the pool we only had 30 mins not a hour. Disappointing and felt like a waste of money and driving

Negative experience: Great in theory but the changing rooms massively let it down. Far too busy at change over times and the family changing facilities with baby changing units in them are few and far between. Cleanliness is also an issue even though staff were "cleaning".
