Cox Green Leisure Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: pretty mint 2 quid to use astro
Negative experience: I attended the library at 6.10pm on the 28/02/2024 and could hardly park. The library is open until 7pm on Wednesdays. There was a football match on or something. A big black range rover tried to park N10 ( front of number plate) and he had 3 parking spaces to choose from. I drove forward to give him plenty of time and space and he still ended in between 2 parking spaces. Huge car but the driver was like a little bold gnome who was offended I wanted to park near him. I chose another spot but he still wanted to pick a fight. I am a woman who walks with a rollator. I just feel sorry for his wife who held him back. I would avoid this area at this time or park at the front. All these soccer parents are crazy and probably drunk as well. Today I had to take my car to kwik fit. A nail, a stone and a screw were found. The little gnome did it.
Fantastic experience: Good facilities for playing football
Positive experience: Leisure Centre with gym, basketball and badminton courts. Football ground is big.
Negative experience: Core gymnastics club running from this centre. Parents be aware that management is highly abusive I pulled my 10 year old daughter out after hearing what the manager Rachel said to her. Disgusted and mortified!
Positive experience: Good Astro turf football pitches. Leisure centre has vending machines & indoor seating for refreshments. Seems busy with youth sports activities at weekends - toilets (ideal for younger children who always need them) in the centre. Parking & also for some youth football matches parking in school behind so easy to park. Leisure centre staff helpful
Positive experience: Been several times now All the equipment I need and usually in full working order It is walking distance so stops the need to get the car out to go to Braywick It is a relatively small gym but is well supplied with equipment I would recommend it
Fantastic experience: A reasonable sports hall with 4 badminton courts. The staff are friendly and it is nice that there are lots of car parking spaces which are free.
Negative experience: - Severely overpriced (£324 per year) - Opens late on weekends at 9am. 430pm on weekdays - School kids constantly running around filming themselves and causing accidents - Very small space - Hardly any decent equipment - Equipment breaks down and is out of order often - It is not cleaned often - Staff are non existent at the front desk You’re better off buying equipment and using it at home. At least you will have your own space and will be able to work out early. Most people prefer coming into the gym at 6-7am. Don’t waste your money, you can get cheaper deals at central town gyms. Don’t let the convenience of locality push you into a membership because you’re not getting much for it.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful people
Fantastic experience: Played football here the other day, pitches are good. Looks like a small local gym didn’t get to see inside much other then the changing rooms.
Fantastic experience: Great facilities
Fantastic experience: I've been using the gym since September 2021. Great value at £27.00 a month, has everything you need. Staff are friendly and the gym is fairly quiet unlike some other gyms.
Positive experience: Nice facilities
Fantastic experience: Really great place multiple activities on site
Positive experience: Please polish the badminton court for as its getting very slippery!
Positive experience: It's inside cox green school. Consists of a small gym, badminton courts and a studio where classes are held. Cleanliness can be improved. Utilising the space effectively by Leisure Centre
Positive experience: Its not low cost and charges 13 pounds for an hour for a badminton session and then they say they promote sports, even worse they are registered as .org. so much for non profit...wat a scam.
Fantastic experience: This is an excellent small local gym. Good facilities for the size and very clean - COVID precautions are taken seriously here. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the online booking app works well. Not a pretentious place so there's a good mix of customers using the gym from young fit people through to older people who have not been to a gym in years. Everyone is made welcome and nobody judges which is great. Definitely worth a look if you are local to the area.
Positive experience: Small, usually quiet leisure centre which has a sports hall, gym and 2 flood lit all weather football pitches. Carpark by the front door with 55(ish) spaces, 3 of them disability spaces
Fantastic experience: The astro and school are outstanding, I play football on the astro and it is great
Fantastic experience: Great local amenitie.
Negative experience: Nice pitch, good game but we had wait 30 minutes to start due to a booking error.
Fantastic experience: Played badminton. Staff friendly and place was clean
Fantastic experience: Nice and small local gym. Great to see they take the cleaning seriously and enough time given for sessions during covid times.
Positive experience: Great community centre, proud to be able to use it. All sorts of options available.
Fantastic experience: Good place
Positive experience: Relax
Positive experience: It was ok
Negative experience: Don't play badminton here. The floors are utter dirty sh*t
Positive experience: Ok
Fantastic experience: The borough needs more playing fields of all types. The local clubs are struggling to keep them away from crossrail prospectors. Game on!
Fantastic experience: Great community centre lots going on Short mat bowls on Monday's and Thursday
Positive experience: Friendly staff and good facilities
Fantastic experience: Good municipal sports centre, tennis courts, badminton, small gym, outdoor and indoor football pitches
Positive experience: Only visited the football course for kids here. So no idea what other leisure facilities are like. Football was good though
Fantastic experience: My 5 year old son is attending Martial Arts Classes here and he is absolutely delighted. The price is reasonable and the atmosphere is so friendly and home like.
Positive experience: Small, friendly gym with all the essential equipment you need for a good workout
Fantastic experience: Nice courts, friendly staff
Positive experience: Nice in the winter. Quite hot in the summer. A place where we all tango!
Positive experience: Very good facilities with helpful staff.
Negative experience: Great facilities but rather unhelpful staff and parking is really difficult
