Negative experience: I do not recommend it because it is expensive and the subscription policy is very complicated. It requires 6 or 12 months, and the monthly subscription is expensive.

Negative experience: Not a good experience at this gym. Some months ago, I wanted to join this gym, but about 2 days after signing up, I got into an accident with a bad injury so I couldn’t go to the gym for a while. Zero sympathy from the manager and people working here and they didn’t want to be human and refund me the money I paid while I haven’t been able to use the gym once. Still made me pay while I didn’t use the gym once. If they had been more empathetic, I would have gone back here after a few months, but I definitely won’t.

Positive experience: Good gym in that it actually has a pool and a variety of different things. The one thing I will say is that the pool is not monitored and it’s a free for all. You can’t swim without people standing and chatting or swimming in your lane.

Negative experience: Workout performance is greatly affected due to poor air oxygen quality in both free weight area and upstairs. Air conditioning does not work, and having brought it up with staff on multiple occasions, it seems that management neither mind nor will be sorting it. I will be leaving you soon. All the best.

Positive experience: Decent gym, especially for the facilities including a pool and spa. Other gyms in the local area with these facilities cost £80+/month. Good equipment and friendly staff. However I would still be a member if it weren't for some cons: - no reassurance or comms was given to members about the chlorine leak a few months back or the safety of the club - the pool is getting more and more packed full of children - great revenue no doubt for the club, but it's inconvenient and annoying for members who just want a swim - the spa area more teenagers and rude noisy people shouting, making relaxing impossible - it seems every time I want to use the showers there's someone jetwashing them - can't this be done out of hours so members don't get covered in filth while they're trying to shower? - I paid upfront for a year's membership which expired this year, so I was ready to continue my membership on a monthly DD, however the club wanted me to pay a joining fee again to continue my membership - this makes zero sense and represents greed. Good luck Gold's, but don't get complacent and take your loyal members for granted.

Negative experience: READ THIS,FROM A HANWELL GOLDS GYM MEMBER FOR 10+ years . If you're considering joining Gold's Gym Hanwell, I would strongly advise you to think twice. I've been a dedicated member for over 10 years, consistently attending 3-4 times a week. While the gym floor staff are friendly and professional, my experience with the management, HR, and the Operations Manager has been deeply troubling. I recently encountered a serious incident involving another member, who aggressively threatened me over a minor issue—leaving weights on a rack, not on the floor where they could pose a hazard. This individual, a Somali male, confronted me three times, and on the third occasion, he escalated the situation by threatening to physically assault me, even swearing on his mother's life. Concerned for the safety of both the gym staff and other members, I felt it necessary to report the incident. This decision was also supported by the gym staff who witnessed the altercation. However, the response from Gold's Gym management was shockingly inadequate. Despite clear video evidence showing the other member attempting to attack me and being restrained by staff, the gym manager, Manish, informed me that the individual would only receive a warning. Following this, I reached out to HR ([email protected]) and the Operations Manager ([email protected]) to express my concerns. The HR Manager, S. Johal, responded dismissively, stating that verbal abuse was exchanged between both parties and that, although the threat I reported was not heard by the staff, the other member neither confirmed nor denied making it. THIS EITHER MEANS THEY DONT CHECK THE CAMERAS OR IT DOESNT RECORD or PURE NEGLIGENCE DEMONSTRATING THEY COULDNT BE BOTHERED TO CHECK THE CAMERAS. Astonishingly, instead of investigating further, they decided to cancel both my membership and that of the other individual, effectively penalizing me for coming forward with a safety concern. Adding insult to injury, the gym has failed to address other serious issues, such as the presence of black leeches in the men’s shower cubicles, which I personally witnessed. Despite reporting this to the cleaning staff, who attempted to address the issue, I refrained from filing a formal complaint because I felt a sense of loyalty to what I once believed was a "family gym." Unfortunately, my trust in this establishment has been completely eroded by the way HR and the Operations Manager handled my complaint. It's clear that Gold's Gym Hanwell prioritizes expedient resolutions over fair and thorough investigations. Rather than mediating the situation or gathering input from other gym members and staff who witnessed the incident, they chose to terminate my membership after a decade of loyal patronage. This response not only lacks fairness but also disregards the principles of equality and member care that a reputable gym should uphold. There are many other gyms in the area that operate with better policies, fairness, and respect for their members. These establishments encourage equality and take the time to understand and resolve issues rather than dismissing them without proper investigation. I strongly recommend exploring other options if you're looking for a gym that truly values its members.

You can go as many times a day as you want. U can go for a workout in the morning and then use the spa in the evening after a long day at work.

Negative experience: This club needs updating, repairs, cleaning. Everything is very old. Unsanitary conditions in the pool and sauna. And for some reason, there are no specialists in the gym who would check people for skin diseases before visiting the pool.

Positive experience: Quite limited, needs more space and more machines for the amount of people there. Very difficult to join a lot classes. Decent price, though, if you don’t mind the limitations.

Positive experience: It's a small gym which could use some TLC and some help rearranging things to utilise the space better. Downside: Annoying members, but gym doesn't care. There's a stretching area which you can't use weights there but then no dedicated space for using the nearby weights. This is frustrating because it's small enough already and people will need to walk near/ around you. Could benefit from less cardio machines and a couple more popular strength machines such as an extra lat pulldown, hip ab/ad-ductors, hip thrust machine. Doesn't have olympic plates, difficult for people deadlifting less than 60kg to comfortably start, you'll need extra plates to raise or learn to do it from a lower position. Needs more benches, both upstairs and downstairs. All staff seem to be self employed, and the overall running of the business may be questionable as most have issues when trying to cancel, but it is still a decent price for a place where you could potentially work out, swim and maybe even join a class if you're lucky. However, gyms in neighbouring areas may be a better option if you're serious about getting a good workout in.

Negative experience: There have been a lot of flies in the shower and toilet area. This was something new!

Fantastic experience: It’s a well known fact that whenever Arnold is in London he goes to Gold’s Gym Hanwell.

Positive experience: It’s cheap, so don’t expect it to be posh, it’s constantly being cleaned, the staff & trainers are lovely, and it has pretty good equipment. I don’t often use the machines though. I go to the Les Mills classes- body pump, body step, body attack & the more challenging yoga sessions on sun & Wed, occasionally spin or Aqua instead. All excellent. I also use the steam room a lot, which is hot & clean. The gym exceeds my needs. Yes, it’s a bit tatty in places, and you have to be quick to book a spot in a class, but fine by me.

Negative experience: So disappointed to learn that Paige's pilates classes have been cancelled. She is the reason I keep coming back to the gym. I have been attending Paige's classes twice weekly for several months and she has made such a huge difference to my health and fitness level. Her approach was always professional, attentive and thoughtful - she took the time to get to know each one of us, and what we needed to get out of her classes. If anyone knows where I can find Paige, please let me know. I'm probably not the only one looking - Paige's classes were always full!

Negative experience: Only come for facilities.Otherwise Golds has Very unprofessional management & HR. Who do not follow procedures ormake records of any matter a custom is having to face. If you have any concerns they do not care. They do not stick their word and lie using an excuse and care more about taking a members money rather than looking into a serious on going matter for over a year...treat people how you want to be treated! You do not deserve 1 star!!!

Positive experience: The weight training area can do with a hack squat machine, an extra bench and 2nd lots of dumbells ranging from 2kg to 20kgs.

Negative experience: Nine gym goers were hospitalised and 70 evacuated after chlorine gas leak. I knew the there wasn't something right about the gym hence quit years back. Something was going to happen sooner or later.

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed! All those facilities for that super reasonable fee. The pool was perfect: long enough for a lap, perfect temperature plus it was almost just for me And the jacuzzi was great- getting a water massage after those laps was awesome! A gym with a pool isn’t common and with a sunbed is even rarer. So basically all the services that I need under one roof Staff was great: the lady in the changing room was very helpful and friendly I highly recommended this place!

Positive experience: It's definitely value for money. Not many other gyms offering a pool and sauna for £32 a month. But you can definitely see where costs have been cut. The pool is always murky. The free weights section is very small and there's no space to do more movement exercises. If on a budget I would recommend a PureGym over this unless you use a pool and sauna regularly. Otherwise the facilities are there just don't set your expectations too high.

Fantastic experience: Though I haven’t used Gold’s Gym as a member yet, I recently had the opportunity to take a tour of their facilities, and I must say, I am thoroughly happy with what they have to offer. The staff was incredibly welcoming and gave me a comprehensive tour of the gym, showcasing the wide array of equipment and other facilities available for various workout routines. The range of cardio machines, strength training equipment, and functional training areas are exactly what I need to take my fitness journey to the next level. There’s even a jacuzzi, sauna and steam and pool should I need. Can’t wait to get going.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym atmosphere and equipment, lovely pool and jacuzzi area, the facilities are very good There’s a few posers around the gym, hanging round in front of the mirrors and weights as always, but generally people there to work out/swim get on with their own thing, The showers are large individual cubicles not communal unfortunately but there is a large communal changing/locker area along with steam room/jacuzzi that makes it’s easier for social and interaction with others A good place for a work out and more ;)

Negative experience: Well , I enrolled for a year and in the first visit the sales guy didn't bother to show me the facilities. I told them I probably migrate and he said you can cancel your contract but when I did it , they forced me to stay in the contracy for a year. Fun fact I never entered their facilities. Do not trust the guys behind the counter , they just want to put you in a contract.
