Fantastic experience: Lovely modern leisure centre. 6 lane swimming pool but it was nice that even on a saturday afternoon there are 3 lanes and half the pool set out for families. Changing rooms very clean. You have to take your shoes off which is a good thing. They could do with more racks to store shoes. Some lovely comfy sofas near reception! Loads of free parking.

Positive experience: Took our granddaughter to her junior swimming lesson, light and clean with viewing area, 2 pools, ample parking.

Fantastic experience: Very good clean easy to access, staff all pleasant and helpful. Put aside many fears about being in public with many feelings of being different ,whilst no confidence does not help the staff were so professional and made me totally at ease.enjoyed my swim immensely, thankyou all ❤

Fantastic experience: Beautifully clean, well lit, excellent access and facilities for families and those with mobility difficulties. Range of activities offered is extensive. Friendly staff. Incredibly impressed.

Negative experience: Useless money grabbers. I have a leisure card, and they seem to look down on this... They take far too long to decide how much to charge you, then charge you incorrectly and inconsistently every single time! They refuse to rectify the problem. My online form is always ignored (unless I ask something easy). Get an education or get a new job. How hard can it be!?

Fantastic experience: Great place. Change rooms clean. Seemed quite new. We did the inflatable on a Sunday and kids enjoyed it.

Negative experience: Atlantis session was terrible, took 28 mins for kids to get on. Only 3 runs completed in the session. Freezing cold waiting for their turn. Terrible value for money. Too many people in the session. Everyone complaining. Other pool sessions are good at dereham but avoid Atlantis.

Negative experience: My boy went on the inflables once, then wanted to go in the smaller pool so he could use his new diving sticks, told we couldn't do that despite the two pools being next to each other, so we had to wait 15 minutes in a queue to go on the inflables again every time round, they aren't very challenging. I don't expect my boy to nearly be left in tears because he can't swim the way he wants at a swimming pool

Negative experience: Atlantis session was awful badly organized, millitant staff. Upset my already anxious austic daughter then told we couldn't swim in baby pool, then allowed to but vests off and couldnt return to qué for the inflatable again. 90% of your time at the session is queuing! course isn't very challenging or much fun for over 8yr olds, I'd say? Neither is wearing a life vest if you can swim? Centre is very clean & light and receptionist was nice.

Positive experience: Very nice facilities, great swimming pool, Gym, Spinning etc. Would benefit from a stream room.

Fantastic experience: Great leisure centre. I go for swimming and aqua aerobics classes. The pool and changing area are cleaned to a good standard. If you want to go to a fun aqua aerobics class, go to Sophie's on a Friday evening - she does the best classes and she's lovely. Bryony's aqua aerobics classes are brilliant too!

Positive experience: Very nice big pool divided up into 3 big lanes for slow, medium and fast swimmers, Sessions stop potential overcrowding, so you have to book. Nice reception staff, but grouchy manager! Downside used by schools during term time. Never used tge gym so can't comment

Fantastic experience: Great facilities for swimming, indoor bowls, but no bar for alcohol only a hot drinks machine, for all ages, a gym, badminton and only recently opened a Barclays bank hub.

Positive experience: Visit the centre for slimming world held in the end room. Always clean and tidy and plenty of parking

Fantastic experience: Easy to access. Good facilities. Poolside changing area with family sized cubicles and free lockers. Good observation balcony to the pool. Coffee available from reception. Helpful staff. Great toddler swimming classes.

Positive experience: Swimming lessons at Dereham Leisure Centre - Recently they decided to change the swimming lesson and squeeze far to many swimmers in to small tight lanes and to remove one of the later lessons. My son has always really enjoyed the lessons over the last couple of years but last few weeks he hasn't wanted to go. This week he really didn't want to go so stayed at home. My wife did try and talk to a lady on the desk about it but was told we were the only ones complaining and was quite rude about her even mentioning it.

Negative experience: Poor opening times bearing in mind the time most people now have to leave home to get to work. Adult swimming lessons were cancelled with no real explanation as to why. Poor availability in terms of pool sessions. This is what happens when what is supposed to be a public resource is handed over to private businesses. The end user suffers to ensure the company in question turns a profit & the local council ignore the issue.

Positive experience: Revamped entrance and waiting area in lobby, looks great. Great staff. Helpful as always. Reception staff go above and beyond

Fantastic experience: Always friendly and helpful staff. Not sure about the minimalist decor at the moment. The temporary door could be better signposted.

Fantastic experience: clean building with modern look with Freindly and helpful staff members on front desk, reasonable size 25m swimming pool for open swim or lanes and small basic pool for chrildren, be aware to check for times as pools not always open due to swimming lessons. Changing rooms and swimming pool is very clean, but some changing cubicle are bit to small to move if your large adult. Plenty of parking in carpark to front of the building and bus stops close to the leisure centre.

Positive experience: Kids loved the pool and inflatable shame about age limit on inflatable does make it hard for a family with one just under eight would be better if it was 8 and over or any age but with parents supervision i.e parent standing in pool ready for child to fall in especially if children under that age wears life vest

Fantastic experience: Good Centre. Not much for kids to do other than swimming though. All the fitness clubs running times need reviewing, class times are not convenient for working families... The gym is small but has everything you could need.

Positive experience: Main pool water is quite cold, Sunday afternoon the teaching pool, which is a lot warmer, was closed, this is either because of staff shortage or cleaning and pool was being back washed, either way wasn't really given a reason . Plenty of changing facilities but not all hair dryers were working and they required 50p to use, which in the current climate is difficult as people do not appear to carry money it's all contactless

Negative experience: Disappointed. Arrived swim with my Nan and they said there: public family section, was 3:00-4:00. We were there at 4:10. But it’s not fair how we can’t get there after school any day of the week, in time to have a swim. We used to go swimming after school every Tuesday after school… But now we can’t at all.

Positive experience: Great for my little grandaughter and her first ever swim. Aqua aerobics was good fun for me. Very helpful staff

Negative experience: Disappointed with our first time at this leisure centre. I rang ahead to make sure we didn’t need to book the learner pool (which I’d been told was great!) so turned up at 11:30, to then be told by reception that the session had just started and was already “full” and the next one started at 1pm. I was unaware that there were sessions where you had to leave and unaware that these could get full very quickly. This would have been fine had the information been relayed over the phone but to find out on arrival with a 6mo and 18mo who couldn’t wait an hour and a half for feeding reasons and in frustration at seeing the pool and not understanding she had to wait. We ended up leaving and driving all the way home. We won’t be going here again.

Positive experience: Staff are friendly and helpful and the centre is kept clean. Hopefully we can enjoy what it has to offer more as we come out of the pandemic. Be aware for swimming though...the pool is often on the chilly side. Guess it encourages you to keep moving though!

Fantastic experience: It is a place where I chose to spend time with my family for health purposes (gym, swimming, sports) and fun.

Positive experience: Nice place, clean with friendly staff. The pool is a 25m one but going swimming after work is a no go as they dont have too much family swimming due to clubs. The UEA is a bigger pool with a lot more access for none club swimmers.

Negative experience: Pool water cold, and constant closures due to not enough staff. If you are paying monthly, you are not treated very well. Would go somewhere else if I had a choice.

Positive experience: Glad to be back swimming and at the gym. New showers which are much better, cleanliness is good. The only thing I worry about is slipping over again on the floor on the way to the pool! I did it about 2 years ago, no major injuries thankfully!

Positive experience: Fab staff and facilities but learner pool too cold for adults let alone toddlers - my 20 months old daughter's lips are always blue after 30 minutes! Ambient temperature is also chilly - really needs sorting!

Positive experience: Clean with friendly staff but the water, even in the toddler pool is always too cold. Unless I have no choice I always go elsewhere, where my grandson can stay in the water for longer.

Positive experience: Usually swim early on a Sunday but today my family and I went at 12pm. I've got to say the changing rooms were a disgrace! They were so filthy, there was a dirty nappy on the floor and a blood smear on the dividing walls! Why aren't they cleaned and inspected after each session? The toilets had wee on 2 of the seats in the ladies loo also.

Fantastic experience: Good, clean, modern 25m pool. Showers usually warm to hot. Efficient, attentive staff. Shoes off policy in the changing rooms excellent (but occasionally needs to be enforced, especially on weekends). Need to choose your time of day, if you want to avoid lane congestion.

Positive experience: Two swimming pools, one small and one large. The small one is good for toddlers to play in. Very friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Compared to other pools, this one is clean, not often too busy to be enjoyable and is very reasonably priced. There was some confusion over which areas were getting closed off for a lesson which cut our visit half an hour short but the staff were really nice and very professional about it and even gave us a free family swim as an apology. All in all, really pleased with the overall experience.

Fantastic experience: Smashing centre, 2 pools the smaller one was wonderfully warm just right for the little ones, while the other one had an adventure inflatable and was monitored by lifeguards.
