Brent Valley Golf Course and Fitness Centre: Opinions
Fantastic experience: Got invited for an anniversary party a couple of weekends ago. Great location in that there are lots of free parking available, a major plus! However, getting there could be a trek as all around the whole area, there's a 20 mph speed limit so it's a bit of a crawl to get there. There are two floors for functions, upstairs and downstairs, each can accommodate 40-50 people comfortably and a licenced bar with a selection (on tap or bottles) of ales or lagers. Prices not dissimilar to what you'll normally pay outside in run of the mills pubs. This place also do catering for private functions, of course only cold or finger snacks and sandwiches, pies and sausage rolls etc. The staff working there are friendly and helpful too. I would recommend this place if you were to plan any private functions yourself.
Positive experience: Good value for money and in relatively good condition for October, however the course was generally a bit overgrown with sections of some greens unplayable. Some challenging holes but good for all levels of golfer. Better signage needed for where to go and for the closed footbridge.
Negative experience: Stop sending spam emails. I don’t want to advertise on your scorecard for £950+VAT.
Negative experience: Absolute con. Terrible condition course with a broken driving net. Worst part is if you drive you get a £60 ticket for parking as they’re are no signs or anyone that prewarns you when you pay that you need to buy a ticket. Awful.
Negative experience: The girl that has been opening up this week has a terrible attitude with zero customer service. She always opens the doors with headphones on and never acknowledges customers, she looks like she does not want to be there. She doesn’t bother opening any windows or putting the AC on and it gets absolutely boiling hot in there. She by far is the worst person to open up and should be kept on evening shifts so we the morning customers do not have to see her horrible sour face.
Positive experience: Beautiful golf course. Thiugh not for faint hearted, as it is very hilly, especially 3 or 4 holes.
Fantastic experience: Great value course. Needs more signage however from hole to hole
Fantastic experience: Very organised staff. Also very friendly. I was happy with the experience.
Positive experience: Staff and Venue: Super friendly and no doubt a great place. Friendly, bars great and food. Overall great friendly club. Golf: This place as you can imagine is on the shorter end. Low Par and mostly shorter holes. Still a good challenge overall, and can hit driver in most cases. Good variety and well maintained course. A bit interesting layout so be sure to know the map as you gotta go weird directions to get to the next hole sometimes. All an all enjoyed this place! Would recommend for those with shorter games.
Fantastic experience: Great course for the price. Also really good customer service from Zainab
Negative experience: On their website it says as part of the practice facilities there are 2 practice holes that can be used. This is incorrect. It’s a field, where some of the grass has been cut.
Negative experience: It's actually a very nice course in theory but a bit ghetto - there was a large group of teenagers who'd taken over the 13th tee to play volleyball, and then an Indian family who'd taken over the next green to have a picnic
Negative experience: Don't lie to yourself rubbish gym rubbish unprofessional management refuse to update equipment, over price everything no even barbell everything brakes lol glad i left go to a gym group or pure Gym anything but this one even everyonactive Northolt top tier
Fantastic experience: Świetne pole dla początkujących
Positive experience: I grew up playing this course in the 00s and really looked forward to playing it again, unfortunately I was left so disappointed. The course has so much potential but was in a sorry way, over grown greens and boggy fairways due to poor drainage. I must say the staff at the club are so friendly and welcoming and the locals were nice to chat too, i think that the tee times need to be spread out more to suit the local demographic as slow play was a big issue. Club house had the aesthetics of a youth club but the breakfast was not all that bad, poor stock on the Window ledge which I think was the pro shop that didn’t even sell ball markers with a club logo. For new golfer it’s a great club start out on, but I will not be returning which I find sad.
Negative experience: There is a 2 HOUR MAX STAY at this GOLF COURSE. This is a sham and ridiculous for a game that takes an average of 4 hours to play. The course istself is fine and what you would expect for the money. The staff are friendly and helpful but whichever senior manager approved the car park should not have a job.
Negative experience: What a shame, but this golf course used to be a great place to play. The greens and fairways are not maintained to any sort of standard. One one the “green keepers” seemed to enjoy driving up and down the fairways without actually cutting anything. On on hole, he waited for myself and my playing partner to tee off before moving the flag to a temporary green. Obviously don’t know what they are doing there. Even at £17:50 a round, it was a complete waste of time. Used to be great, now it’s a disgrace. Avoid
Fantastic experience: this i a great little local park that weve been coming to for years , very clean and nature is awesome here, bring the kids and family
Fantastic experience: Went for Hart check up.by NHS,but their machine didn't work.what a wast of time.
Positive experience: Had an unexpectedly charming day out at Brent Park, especially at the Bunny Park and Golf Course. This little gem in the city is quite the find for a laid-back, enjoyable day. The Bunny Park is a delight. It's small but well-maintained, with a bunch of fluffy bunnies that are just too cute for words. Watching them hop around, doing their bunny things, was surprisingly therapeutic. It's not a huge space, but the care and attention to these little critters are evident. Plus, it's not every day you get to be so close to bunnies, which makes it pretty special. Moving on to the golf course - it's a decent little setup. I'm no Tiger Woods, but I found the course enjoyable and manageable. It's got a nice balance of being friendly enough for beginners but still interesting for those who have played a bit. The course is well-kept, greens are in good shape, and there’s a nice, relaxed vibe about the place. What I really liked about this spot is how it feels like a mini escape within the city. It's peaceful, surrounded by greenery, and there's this easy-going atmosphere that makes you slow down and just enjoy being there.
Positive experience: Waterlogged
Fantastic experience: i qould like to leave some good words for the staff as my son had hurt ghis leg , well knee and they really treated him great, comforted and used the first aid kit to wipe and sanitise his knee and even gave him a lolipop from the shop which one staff paid for, excellent staff here
Positive experience: I just attend the gym - very good facilities for what I need - cardio machines. Please could the lighting in the car park be improved? I feel unsafe during the 1 min walk from the gym to the main street as it's very dark - almost pitch black - and there are a lot of bushes. Also, please could all the adjustable levers on the bikes be loosened / Dw40 sprayed on them? As they’re very difficult to adjust and I haven’t got much upper body strength. There is not an email address on the gym website so contacting here. Thank you! :-)
Positive experience: this is a very good course with quite a few challenges (i first played this course over 45 years ago but moved away). there were a few temporary greens in place due to the weather but perfectly playable. my only real complaint about the course is that the members seem to think that the course is there's and they broke the golden golf rule and would not let me play through even though i was behind them from the fifth hole, eventually i had to miss a hole to get in front as they were so slow and holding up play. the staff here were very pleasant and should be commended especially the lady in the clubhouse who explained everything about the course to me perfectly..
Fantastic experience: The bar down stairs has different opening times to the golf club and gym. Monday to Friday 07.00 to 22.00 Saturday and Sunday 07.00 to 19.00 Very nice and concise on tap selection. Nice cider. Clean basic toilets. Great sunset views for half the year. Used to be called the round house tavern, now it resembles and cafe with beer
Fantastic experience: Great golf ⛳️ course friendly staff in the club house.
Negative experience: very dissapointed in this golf course they charge £26.50 on a sunday the course is very poorly maintained.I have been playing this course for over 20 years never seen this course so poor so not looking bright for this course going forward if under the same management.
Fantastic experience: Very kind staff. Thanking them for allowing us to host our event there in memo of our loved one ❤️
Fantastic experience: Absolute serene ambiance, friendly staffs and beautiful landscape. Stayed and enjoyed pints of Guinness ..
Negative experience: The staff are friendly, and the course layout is good for those new to the sport. However, the greens and fairways are poorly maintained. The real issue here though is the parking, they contract it out to another company who will charge you heftily if you're there for more than 2 hours. I just paid over £500 in fines following three games over summer. Supposedly there are signs up explaining this, but clearly I missed them!
Positive experience: Very nice and clean however need to sort out women showers. It’s broken.
Fantastic experience: Nice golf course, good value for money and some of the best greens for a municipal course in the area ⛳️ Not the longest or hilliest course, so nice for a casual round on your own or with friends alike.
Fantastic experience: Golf course with an everyone active gym and bar/cafe.drinks, alcohol, snacks and hot food can be bought. Seating area inside with large glass windows so you can get a view of the golf course and seating area with wooden benches and tables outside. Staff are always friendly, you get what you give right . Pretty big parking area as well. You don't have to be playing to go and relax there.
Fantastic experience: Lovely
Fantastic experience: Good to get out in familiar surroundings course was great covid treated it well
Fantastic experience: We'll kept 18 hole greens
Positive experience: Nice, non- posey local gym!
Positive experience: Good course and was in generally good condition.
Fantastic experience: I use the gym regularly. It's a small one with a few equipments for a normal weight training session. Lots of parking space available. Never gets crowded. Good and clean ambience.
Fantastic experience: Great golf course some exciting holes amazing greens
Positive experience: A nice public course with plenty of challenge.
Fantastic experience: Helpful and friendly staff
Positive experience: More of a trip down memory lane. As played golf here when I was at school at Drayton Manor school, so big memories. OK course, greens and fairways in good condition but little slow. Dog walkers everywhere, good natured wacky baccy smokers on 11th tee, where as a school boy the drunks used to be. Some great holes over Brent River and pond with Church as back drop. Basic bar and cafe, staff friendly. Watch out for the dog walkers.
Fantastic experience: Very well kept public golf course. Unfortunately being a public golf course you do get a lot of walkers and dog walkers that don't always stick to the paths.
Fantastic experience: Nice Golf Club. :)
Fantastic experience: Excellent greens, well maintained fairways, reasonably priced.
Fantastic experience: Visited fitness centre. Good facilities, very clean and secure. Staff friendly and welcoming. Plan to join the fitness centre as a member.
Fantastic experience: Cracking good little inner city London course. Played here loads of times and likely will play loads more.
Positive experience: Nice course, good value for money.
Negative experience: Club has a problem with people jumping on without paying at the 5th tee causing play to slow. Very cheap course so you get what you pay for. The terrace bar is members only, which is odd given the club is run by everyoneactive.
Fantastic experience: A small gym, but clean and never very busy.
Positive experience: Great place to play, bar is affordable, but not many gluten-free options in food or drinks. yes is really nice
Positive experience: Not a bad place for a quick round, a bit muddy in places.
Fantastic experience: Great course, great facilities, love the rooftop looking over the course, great views.
Positive experience: Been playing here for last few months. As a new golfer it has been a perfect place to develop my game. Its the cheapest 18 in the area so you have to live with the fact that its also used by the public for jogging, dog walking etc. Although this has never caused me any problems.
Positive experience: Not a bad little gym. Very quiet just how I like it.
Fantastic experience: Public course, were I started golf, some 30 odd years ago. The course still the same and now the conditions are that much better.
Fantastic experience: Top place to play golf. Looking forward to full facilities once restrictions are lifted
Positive experience: Not many folks in so you can choose machines. Cv19 bits look to be in order with sanitiser and sprays.
Fantastic experience: Great golf club
Positive experience: Its £19 a round so for that reason it's a 4* but obviously you are not going to get a completely manicured course. Some tee boxes/fairways and greens are a little scruffy but all in all I had a good round and the course is in good enough condition. For the price it's well worth it.
Negative experience: No golf trolleys to hire.
Fantastic experience: Stunning place to play golf. Looking forward to full opening once restrictions are lifted
Positive experience: Good place to play
Positive experience: This is a great course. All par 4's and a few 3's. Greens great. Fairways well maintained and rough not too overgrown. All in all a great course. Just needs to be tidied up litter wise. Lots of debris here and there...more bins on tees and should have a course warden doing this on a daily basis.
Fantastic experience: Jogging was around the club is awesome. It's gives a nature ambience
Negative experience: So much for strict 2 balls only, we was behind a group of 4, and there was a 3 behind us. Sunbathers and people strolling across fairways took all the enjoyment out of playing there. Not going back.
Positive experience: I'm a greenkeeper on a private course greens need good water the ruff needs cutting hole placement on second green cost me three shots hole on a down slope no go
Positive experience: Nice course, my first time playing, a few people on the course, using it as a park, but apart from that it was great
Negative experience: The course was in fairly good condition, but the problem was it was like a circus on the course. It seems like loads of people have discovered Golf Courses as nice comfortable and open green spaces during lockdown. Now the course is back open, the people have not gone away, and these people have no clue about golf etiquette. Families just wandering on the fairways and greens. Kids riding bikes on greens, many people having drinks, picnics, sunbathing and exercising all over the course with no clue, or heed to golfers trying to play. On almost every hole we had to shout at people, and in many cases they either did not hear or took no notice. We even had our balls picked up and carried off. A totally disruptive and off putting game, and to pay full price for the round is a joke. It is up to the golf club, to inform these people this is a golf course with people paying to be there. I am not totally against people being out and about just not sitting on tees, fairways and greens, and kids playing in the bunkers. Find spots that your not in danger of flying golf balls, or directly affecting golfers. If you cannot get rid of the crowds, then tell us before we pay, and charge a reduced rate.
Fantastic experience: Love the gym
Fantastic experience: Excellent gym has everything you could ask for and the staff are very helpful and friendly
Positive experience: Good municipal course. Friendly staff
Fantastic experience: Good if you like to NOT play golf
Fantastic experience: always great. uncluttered. some holes would be a pick on any course. dont be put off by straight rather dull first 4 holes. river and pond obstacles and lovely parkland setting. just enough undulation
Fantastic experience: Nice Council owned course. Good value for money and friendly helpful staff. On our doorstep too.
Fantastic experience: Small balls only at this club
Positive experience: Excellent choice of snacks, great value for money.
Fantastic experience: Very nice
Fantastic experience: Very good inner London golf course. New Greenkeeper has improve the whole course especially the greens.
Fantastic experience: good price to play golf at, usually pay triple the price
Fantastic experience: Small gym but always clean and the staff is very kind. It's rarely busy.
Positive experience: Our local.Good prices and only a short walk away!
Positive experience: Okay
Fantastic experience: Nice place
Negative experience: Do like the course, living within walking distance so it is a complete shame that after organising a society of 25 players one of our guys received a parking ticket and even having disputed this we are having to fight this. We gave the number plate in to the reception and and have since called to ask the club to resolve the matter who have said that they are unable to do anything about it! We spent nearly a thousand pounds with the club, unbelievable!
Fantastic experience: This is a brilliant municipal course.
Positive experience: Easy pickings
Fantastic experience: Great course in excellent condition and great value for money
Positive experience: Great golfing day
Fantastic experience: Love it here
Fantastic experience: It's so quiet and you can use all equipment. The stuff are really friendly.
Positive experience: I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed playing this public course. The greens are a credit to the club and whoever maintains them. I have played "boutique " courses with worse putting surfaces. For £28.00 a steal. There is community involvement with walkers, cyclists and dogs etc but hey, it's a community space. Good job Brent Valley Golf Club.
Negative experience: Course is Ok with variation and greens fairly well kept for the price. But beware you must apparently register your car registration number with the staff you pay in the office because otherwise you are likely to get a parking ticket. As the office/bar staff change frequently they may not nudge you to do this and a £100 fine is quite a shock!
Fantastic experience: Nice place for a quiet drink on a summer evening
Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere and friendly staff
Positive experience: Very forgiving course. Well maintained. Quite a bit of foot traffic.
Fantastic experience: Our starting point for the Ealing Healthy Walks around Church Fields, Connelly Dell and the Bunny Park and then in for refreshments in the Brent Valley Golf Club. Come and join us , meet at 1.30pm every Wednesday outside Brent Valley Golf Club.
Fantastic experience: Cheap bar, average cheap golf course, great Central location, loads of parking
Fantastic experience: Great for dog walking
