Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre

Positive experience: This is my absolute favourite as a leisure centre, welcoming, clean, very friendly staff, and what a great cafe with all the smoothies, freshly squeezed juices as well! My only sorrow is the steam room, even after refurbishment the steam levels are so low that it does not make any sense to use it really. First two weeks after refurbishment many people were using it, it was great! Now it is back to a "low setting", empty most of the time, very disappointing. Could you please make it proper again ? Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I visit this leisure centre regularly for swimming, and I’m always impressed by the excellent facilities. The steam room and sauna are fantastic, and the friendly staff, especially those at reception, make you feel welcome every time you walk in. The manager, Alan, is approachable and leads a great team, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I would highly recommend this leisure centre to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Nice place . What makes it special is the Pilates, Hatha Yoga and Senior Flex. These 3 additions have added extra benefits and value for customers. The staff are kind and always supportive.

Positive experience: Average Pool.Could have done a lot better than they did. Old Pool was better. Kirkcaldy council at its best. Useless.

Negative experience: It's got great things for children but the elderly clients really let it down for me. They act as though the free swim area is for them to lane swim even though there is a designated area for that. So you can't "freely swim" in the "free swim area" without comments made to you or disgusted looks from them, further more they use the only 5 baby changing units that there is, obviously because there is more space. But they're larger because they're for families, NOT just for one selfish human that demands areas to spread out belongings and use the baby change unit for there clothes! In these classes there is atleast 6 to 8 families all with young babies waiting for a cubicle for just one selfish older person that should know better, to come out. It's unfair that people may miss or be late for classes they have paid for. As a result of this I will not be re-booking any classes once I've used this block that I have already payed for. The elderly people going here are rude and it's downright disgusting to expect a baby to sit on a stinking floor where people put there scabby bums and feet, and lord knows what else, all because this older generation want to use a baby change cubicles and extra space for there entitlement. So keep that, no thank you! My baby deserves better. Really unfortunate! Absolute let down of a potential 5 stars for me.

Positive experience: Went to watch my granddaughter have a swimming lesson. Not keen on the open view swimming pool. Lovely, helpful and friendly staff. Easy to navigate.

Positive experience: As a non swimmer my grandson is taking me to the pool,to teach me and i am having a great experience. We both enjoy sauna/steam room. Very clean,helpful staff and being disabled we get discount as i have a fife card plus 1. Not been since February but be back soon,due to on going disability. Well done.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic time had at soft play for a birthday party

Positive experience: Was taking my 4 yr old grandson to the soft play area. Lots for wee ones to do, clean well laid out play area, with cameras showing where the children are on a large screen. There are tables for adults to sit at while the children play. Drinks and snacks are available in the entrance hall and the playarea has coded door entry so the number of children can be monitored and children cannot wander out. The centre has 2 swimming pools not tried them yet , but they look very clean. Only problem is lack of parking space, tho the mercat centre is close by and charges seem reasonable. Close to promenade and shops in the main street.

Fantastic experience: Love this place. It's so busy that is surreal Fife council don't sort out free parking space, especially with the quantity of children attending. Fife council have 2 large parking spaces near that are always almost empty because have to be paid.

Fantastic experience: Been a member here for years. Great leisure centre. Parking not an issue generally if using the facility in the evening but challenging during the day. There are a number of traffic wardens patrol as it's a ticket haven. The council should be looking into over zealous wardens patrolling the one small area instead of the entire town centre area

Negative experience: There was mould in the corners. It was disgusting. There was mould on the ceiling. Hair all over the disabled bed the tiles were black meant to be white I wouldn’t recommend going to Kirkcaldy leisure centre.

Negative experience: you're disabled changing room was a disgrace pubic hair all over changing bed our service user needs floor wet and slimmy tiles from there to pool supposed to be white were black !! no temp control on shower or not working changing bed supposed to be white it was filthy and stained . you're life guards barely knew how to use hoist our service user had a 2 min sezuire in pool I waved erratically to get them to come help didn't move another older life guard came eventually didn't have a clue our service user if left any longer would have needed her emergency treatment train you're staff better in these situations!!, you're same older lifeguard then proceeded to walk into same disgusting changing room without knocking where support worker was barely dressed follow Michael woods example they are spotless you're spaces for disabled wheelchair accessible cars are beyond non excistant compared to Michael woods swimming pool you're whole place is a disgrace and talk to your so called cleaners SHOCKING never again

Negative experience: i always liked the kirkcaldy pool but this week i wasn’t impressed at all. i went for a swim the last 4 days and the water quality was very bad . a couple of days ago a lady actually talked to the lifeguard because there was a lot of hair at the deep end of the pool. some got taken out then. when i went back the next day there was clearly no cleaning done. there was all sorts of tiny things flouting through the water. also i have seen hair clips and plasters and far too much hair . when i got changed my body was full of it. couldn’t have a proper shower either because 2 of the 3 cubicles were out of order for a long time now and the 3rd one was busy. changing rooms are not very clean either. i hope someone is having a look into this .

Fantastic experience: I recently joined this leisure center as I was looking to get back into the gym. I went in one day and asked about memberships. The staff member was fantastic and very knowledgeable. She explained the different types of memberships and what discounts are available for people that are full-time students, work for certain companies or are on certain benefits. I was able to set up my membership within 10 minutes and was offered an induction for the following day so a staff member could show me around and explain the different machines in the gym. During my induction I was also offered a personal training plan which is free for members and I think this is fantastic. Inside the leisure center there is also a swimming pool, a training pool with a movable floor, a gym, a health suite, a children's play area for small children and an area upstairs for group fitness classes and children's fitness classes. The leisure center is extremely clean, tidy and appears very well looked after. Every visit so far I have seen management walking around and they always say hi and ask how my day is, which I think is lovely to see them so involved within the day-to-day running of the leisure center and the people that use it. The health suite is like a mini holiday and it's secure which means that not anybody can just walk in. In the health suite there is a sauna and a steam room with a waterfall shower in between them. There is also a water fountain outside the sauna so you can refill your water bottle without having to leave the health suite. The changing rooms for the pool are brilliant. The locker system is operated by a £1 coin or a trolley token. There are vending machines around the leisure center which offer cold drinks and snacks. The drinks vending machine can take cash or card but the snack vending machine only takes cash. Overall, this leisure center is fantastic and the staff are lovely, Very knowledgeable and polite.

Negative experience: I am new. People dont follow pool ruletka. I cant imagines there is no locker room to Putin your shoes and jacket in the room fine but no pool shoes or baby stroller. The pram and shoes have a specjalnie place int the cloakroom. Otherwise, no hygiene

Positive experience: Can't comment on the Leisure center, gym or swimming but I can comment on the soft play, which was the purpose of our visit today. Overall the softplay facility is a good little place to bring the kids. There are 4 tables, in what is a very small room by softplay standards, so not much space, no food or drink facilities this is strictly just a short stop for the young ones to burn off some energy so be sure to bring your own drinks and snacks! My only gripe is with the cleanliness, or lack thereof. The room was absolutely filthy! Not only did I have to go find antibacterial spray to clean our table which had a dirty wipe left on it, the table was propped up by a used nappy! There was also food all over the floor. On top of that the actual softplay itself was vile in some places, it 100% needs a deep clean, especially above the exit only sign where the kids come off the slide, which had a huge build up of dust and hair and dirt. It's clear that it hasn't been properly cleaned or maintained in a very very long time!

Positive experience: Modern leisure centre on seafront. Used the sauna and steam room which were both clean. Staff helpful when my locker broke with a coin stuck in slot!

Positive experience: I like the gym. Is quiet and spacious.. I've tried pure gym but went back to fife leisure as is much better. I'm taking 1 star off for the music. It's way too quiet and mostly taking radio. I'm sure they could get a license for playing some gym/workout music.

Positive experience: Fulfils its basic purpose and not a shade more. The pool itself is clean, but is mostly taken over by swimming clubs leaving two of six lanes free for swimming. The changing rooms have brown stains on the floor which is moderately disconcerting when you're barefoot.

Positive experience: Good gym minus the fact that it lacks a few machines and some equipment (boxing bag/pads) also lacks in good parking facilities considering cancelling my membership due to parking. Also lack of cleanliness see pic for blood stained dumbbell stand which sat like this for 2 weeks.

Taken to changing rooms by another member of staff as it was our first time there, clean and spacious changing areas. Had an hour in the training pool to ourselves great lifeguard attendance couldn't fault the place at all

Negative experience: Not a lot of social distancing in the pool sections, no hand sanitizer and a few 2 metre marks. 2 stars.

Negative experience: It's unacceptable to have a senior flex class on in a hall with no ac at the least their should be fans on if anyone felt bad with the heat questions would be asked why no fans on. Please do something before before something happens
