Fantastic experience: Very friendly and helpful staff. If you have a medical issue they are very good at putting you on the right fitness programme. Good car park size. Fairly priced.

Fantastic experience: Ulverston leisure is a bit tired in places, but the main thing is the people who work there are really friendly, the pool is usually quiet and the facilities are always clean. I take my little one swimming quite a bit and she loves it. I should also mention that people assume the water will be cold due to it being a proper swimming pool but this is not true. The water is not cold. My 3 yr old is fine in there for around 40 minutes. She wears her Splash About suit to insulate her so we never have any issues. I tend to book my swimming on the Better app so I can pick the quieter sessions. If you join as a basic member (£6.50 for a year) you get 10% off pay-as-you go prices.

Fantastic experience: This remains the best pool for those who want to swim, rather than lark about. The water treatment produces a clear, cool, swimming experience, with no unpleasant chemical effects. The changing rooms are simple, practical and clean. Refundable £1 coin for the lockers.

Positive experience: Played tennis indoors when it we raining outside. Great. The staff are very helpful and often ok for a chat . I hope the tennis courts will continue to be there. They are much needed in this remote part of the Country. A sport for all ages .

Negative experience: Based on my experience on the Gym services: Highly not recommended if someone is a non-native person. Part of the staff makes one feels that does not fit in. There is an underlying bias (or if I may say even discrimination) by a selective enforcement of rules and pointless cross-check questions.

Negative experience: The only place in a small town with a swimming pool but even that’s not great; the gym is passable but hard to get a decent workout with the cramped space lacking of equipment due to cramped space, bad positioning too many cardio machines and a plethora of kids that take over but don’t work out; they keep promising an expansion but after 5 years I’m not sure it’ll ever happen putty because it needs one desperately; it’s ok ish but it’s a leisure centre through and through all I’m saying is it’s like getting Aldi’s own baked beans as opposed to Heinz it does the job it says on the tin but isn’t fully satisfying

Fantastic experience: Great little leisure centre with a well supplied gym (incl. TRX) It can get very busy at peak times but there are rarely queues for equipment. Everything's clean and tidy and the staff have always been lovely.

Negative experience: The Machine seats; for example the chest press are wobbly and off- center therefore leading to back Injury I am shocked this has been accepted, It's dangerous practice. The facility is expensive for the nature (£37.50 at the time compared to DW at £29 which includes the pool!) , the size of the weights and cardio rooms are small having minimal equipment. Further to this I have tried to ring up and cancel however the phone number is in recognised. The lady also forgot to put my membership number on the card so I can't complete the enquiries online, I find the package an overall bad service unfortunately. I was also not allowed a trial session prior to joining (I was allowed to look around)

Fantastic experience: Great facilities, swimming pool, tennis courts and pitches etc. No cafe but handy vending machine. Good size car park. There's also a Defibrillator at the rear of the clubhouse facing the cricket Pitch.
