Positive experience: Good value gym i.e you get what you pay for. Decent assortment of equipment but the machines are the cheaper ones. Only ever seen one member of staff in their at a time (daytime).

Negative experience: I would have put 4 to 5 stars as its a great gym but twice now I have gotten ill after going to this gym the only thing I can think off is the equipment is not cleaned down enough.
Positive experience: It is an average gym if you want to work out. Unfortunately, after they opened, some machines started to loosen in a certain way. It’s big, well-illuminated, and comfortable for me.

Negative experience: Generally good gym with decent equipment and kept tidy by staff and members, but the lack of working air con means workouts are muggy and 25 plus degrees is fairly usual now would recommend town centre most of the time due to the temperature inside this gym

Negative experience: Needs a punch bag or 2, I know a few people who were in love with the energie gym nearby due to the punch bag area at the back. They are looking for a new gym after it closed but can’t find one that will allow them to keep up with their boxing training.

Negative experience: Don't come here please it's too busy. Also they have employee's, obviously, and when I'm finished with the equipment I leave it. And then they tell me to tidy it up. Seriously. I pay for an expensive membership and they expect me to do the labour for them. How about you pay me then. Then they come up to aggressively to try to make me to tidy whilst they lazy sacks are at there desk on their phone more than half of the time. The manager is the worst

Staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat not returning weights. This is the members responsibility to do so. Positive experience: Good size and has free car park. The downside is that it’s very crowded in peak time and you have to pay extra for Zumba and yoga. However, good timetable for classes and has some good PTs.

Negative experience: This gym allows personal filming. Full of narcissistic clowns with tripods and camera's. Shouldn't be allowed.

Negative experience: Code worked to get in the main doors then failed at the glass gate, pressed for help nothing. No one around to help! Not 24hrs if you can't access! No way of contacting staff!!

Negative experience: Nowhere to squat or bench safely as no safety bars on the benches or power rigs. Dangerous gym.

Positive experience: To be honest I think in my first few visits I got very lucky, but it is Absolutely packed since other local gyms have closed, their is simply not enough equipment considering they are peaking 125+ even by 8pm and considering the size of the establishment. The biggest issue is the equipment, there's still only one leg extension and leg curl machine for such a large gym, only 1 flat bench, there is an incline and decline but can't be made flat, they did up the amount of EZ bars as they have around 4+ now which is great. The gym plates are not as clean as they could be as the small plates 1.25's and 2.5's don't fit correctly on the bench machines when stored in their "correct" spot as they collide making it a nuisance and partly a hazard as they collide and get stuck on each other, so the gym plates are never where they "should" be and always stacked terribly, The power racks in the middle of the gym floor don't have optional attachable safety catches and that's 6 racks with no optional safety system for squatting which is a huge shame (I'm personally not that interested in squatting without safety racks) There is free 2 hour parking outside however it is also small and shared with many other shops until around 6pm, while I have always gotten a spot, I understand how others have not and there is also no way to pay for more time if you need to from my knowledge. Water bottles can be refilled, but unless you pay extra for the fancy sports water, your only option is the peasant taps or old school drinking fountain, depending how you are with germs probably not your favourite and quite egregious to not just have a normal dedication station for filling water bottles separate from the fountain for free... It's nice to see an actual private changing stool, even if only one is included in the changing room as well, shame only one toilet in the men's changing room. There is a nice long run for a weighted sled and a big open space in the middle which makes the gym feel big. The staff however are really lovely when you see them and barcode entrance is nice.

Negative experience: Poor selection of bars. No power/safety squat/Swiss bars. Worst of all, there is nowhere to bench press safely in this gym. Bizarrely, there are no safety catcher attachments available to use on the power rack rig, and the adjustable safety bars on the squat racks are not low enough to use for bench press. No safety catcher attachments on the power rack rig is also an issue for safe squating. Sure, you can dump the bar with bumpers, but that doesn't help in all circumstances. Just a matter of time until someone takes a bar to the trachea on a bench and game over...

Positive experience: Clean,tidy. Nothing to clean down equipment after use. Could do with a better tap for filling large water bottles. It was difficult to fill my bottle with the small water fountain.

Fantastic experience: Really good gym! It's surprisingly big and doesn't feel crowded at all, it can get a little busy but you can check the app to see how many people are there. Good facilities and free drinks machine is great because the water fountain puts out warm water

Fantastic experience: A great gym. Always feels spacious and perfect temperature. Lots of equipment and nobody bothers you. Always staff about during the daytime if you need anything. Very clean and tidy. Haven’t tried the classes, but there looks like there’s a lot on offer.

Fantastic experience: I used to train out of hours at Pure over at the Buttermarket years ago so was excited to see the new branch open over this side of town. I love that it's open 24/7 and despite what others have said it's very clearly signed with large roll up banners right as you come in the door that you've got to enter your car registration if you're training after 11pm and before 6am. Could have been clearer in the early days but there was always some kind of sign up to tell you about entering your car registration. The parking companies are hot on it so make sure you enter your reg number! I enjoy the classes and have been doing PT with a trainer for a couple of years. So far so good, if you go at busier times naturally you have to wait a bit sometimes for the more popular equipment but most of the time it's not a problem. The app is really helpful and tells you how many people are in the gym at any point in time, perfect if you prefer to wait for the quieter times. Good range of new kit, and there's other equipment coming. Really enjoy the Concept 2 bike and ski erg machines! Friendly and helpful staff as well, and the place is kept clean - always seeing the team cleaning down kit and sweeping and mopping the floor for example. Great to see it's been so successful!

Fantastic experience: Awsome place got used to it now very clean, plenty on machines to use, choose the right time to go via the app and you won't be waiting around, air temp is spot on and the choice of music ain't bad either, go hit it and work out like no one is watching, you will definitely feel better for it

Negative experience: Massively irritated by the management here, think the managers name is Reuben. Came in today with my Mrs who is also a member and my brother who we used a buddy pass for as we both pay for the more expensive membership. Firstly code didn't work so couldnt get my brother in and there was no staff to help, so I scanned him in using my account. Well having got him in we were given the dirtiest looks by Reuben while he was training and instead of asking if something had happened to we needed help he instead tried to intimidate us by giving us dirty looks. Really really poor customer interaction and service, regardless if you are on shift or not you reprrsent the brand and it was pathetic

Fantastic experience: Its amazing feeling after many years of constant grow up in weigh, by sitting behind a desk, it comes the time to start and challenge myself. I become a member of the PureGym, 2 weeks after officially opened and since then i joined the classes and been having classes 5 days a week, its so nice to see a difference in my life style, the way i feel, the way I eat. One place and I just getting full positivity of my life at the age of 40!!! The only sad thing is - i started and realised that too late! So recommended to everyone! Join the classes, each personal trainer provides different exercises, each of them will share with your their special super powers ! *Ruben fitness monster will make sure you burn yourself every muscle you have, Liam moving like a supersonic guy froma different planet, you won't be able to catch up with him, *Stuart he will make sure you get stronger with every bar you lifting, *Chris was a bit annoying with his constant talk but believe me that's helps a lot, later on as his funny jokes will make you smile even if you will not have a strength to do it, such a good positive person, and he will make sure your soul and full body will become stretched and nicely relaxed with his yoga classes, and i do love his challenges in his classes. *Shannon - OMG dont know what to say about her because you can't move your eyes away! She is absolutely super fit!! Ladies you will want to look exactly the same! So message to everyone reading this DO NOT WAIT! Fantastic experience: I'm a member at pure gym buttermarket and thought I'd check out ravenswood. Ravenswood is a fantastic gym - its got better equipment and more space than buttermarket for the free weights area. Basically it's big, chill, and the lighting is spot on. Also Liam the PT works at ravenswood and he does the best classes.

Negative experience: This is shocking I got Fine for using Gym in the morning God knows how many fines il get its a 24 hour gym when taken membership it was not stated clearly or should have email all users and signs up in Gym shocking deceiving tact tic very unprofessional and they must give money back to customers for the lack of common sense shocking

Information regarding parking is available on the home page of any PureGym which offers parking. The correct parking procedures must be followed, to avoid a parking ticket. We would always advise that you appeal the fine and explain the circumstances. If you get in touch with Member Services, we can also provide you with an appeal document which will be an official letter from PureGym Head Office, stating that you are a member of PureGym and your attendance log for the date in question, will also be provided as proof to show you were in the gym. If your appeal is rejected, we would suggest submitting a case with POPLA. POPLA are an independent appeals process which works with the Ombudsman Service. They investigate whether this fine was issued correctly in accordance with the terms and condition of the car park; whilst reviewing evidence provided in the appeal. On the rejection notice, there should be a 10-digit verification code, and you will then be able to submit an appeal with POPLA via their website: http://www.popla.co.uk/poplaappealprocess. Although we cannot guarantee they will cancel the fine, we do hope for a positive outcome. Thanks, PureGym.

Negative experience: As a women I feel extremely uncomfortable finding out you expect me to walk to the gym between the hours of 11 p.m and and 7am as I've just received parking fines. It doesn't state on your website that there is parking restrictions for a "24 hour" gym. Poor extremely poor

Negative experience: Yes the gym may be open 24 hours a day but if you park in the car park between 11pm and 7am you get a £100 fine. Be warned

Negative experience: Not really a 24 hour gym when you’re not allowed to park in the car park between 23:00 and 07:00. No full details of this on your website despite mentioning it and a £100 fine for each evening I visited last week. Ridiculous

Easy Access entrances are available at PureGym, they require an induction with the Gym Manager before they can be used due to Health and Safety. Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say as a lidl worker,..(now over the road,.).welcome to your new home...it looks fantastic!!...the buzz we get from you over the road feels great for us both as businesses,..the old shop looks fab,..and as much as I'd love to join..I work my butt off over the road...lol...if you offer a peace n quiet room...I'd be there...
