Negative experience: Very boring commercial gym. Equipment often out of use or broken, the full gym is freezing cold and with zero music. A very dull atmosphere. Price is very good but that comes at a price with it never having under 50 people in. Do not and I mean do not go between 5-7 because there is literally half of Sunderland in there. Every machine is used, and not an enjoyable gym.

Positive experience: Quite a good gym but is let down by a few factors: - Weights not put away - litter on the floor - Not enough plates - Some equipment need updating / repair. Would get 5th star if all of the above is addressed.

Negative experience: Good gym however parking is an issue. I received 2 parking fines for parking more than 2 hrs when I'm using the gym. Pure gym saunderland should wave off the charges for Pure gym costumers like what they do on the gym.

Fantastic experience: the hardest part about this gym is walking across the whole gym on leg day, Also please turn the music down when the classes are playing i can still hear it through my headphones apart from that and how busy it gets a good gym( and the flickering lights)

Positive experience: I can’t understand why the cleaning stations have been reduced to one when I am witnessing quite a few members not cleaning anything down and using machines whilst soaked in sweat this is very unpleasant. Maybe staff could clamp down on this behaviour?

Positive experience: Large gym with a lot of variance of things to use. It has security gates at entrances. It also has shower facilities. Quite a busy gym though.

Positive experience: Used to attend this gym all the time. Good gym, however it lacks in ways that other gyms don't. The equipment needs to be better organised and most assisted machines, specifically for arms/backs are near the free weights. This is quite off putting as it is a busy area. Also, there is no music or anything playing on TV screens. They've also removed the hand sanitisation boxes that they had near the pods before covid was a thing. Surely, they should have hand sanitisers now more than ever.

Negative experience: Would have gave it 0 stars if i could machines broken for months on end have the most basic equipment ever the machines don’t even do what the muscle wants to do just cheaply manufactured for profit really bad place

Negative experience: Pretty good people in the gym but awful gym. Things break and take weeks to be repaired even months with some. I have been took pictures of all broken machines and lights . Cheaper membership but honestly not worth it, better to pay a little more and get much better equipment.

Negative experience: Good material staff is unqualified, a pt qualification means little today days when you see some stuff that's been taught in this gym. The only good side is the price.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this more or less since it opened on Sunderland It's always been ok and good value but the recent upgrades on equipment and especially the men's changing room have vastly improved the overall experience..I love the new concept 3 bike!!

Positive experience: Was a great gym back in the day. Seems to struggle to compete against other gyms in the area now as a lot of people I used to train with now go to JD Gyms. Most of the machines here are old and outdated and it shows, many are often out of order and very rarely do any new machines or equipment get added. The constant turnover of PTs and managers feels more like a revolving door than a stable community.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member at this gym since it first opened. It is clean, has a good selection of equipment and great classes. The members are friendly and so are staff and they are also very helpful

Negative experience: It was with great sadness I had to leave this gym after 2 years of been training here, it gets too over crowded, Maybe PureGym should invest in another premises as well as having the current one, didn't feel like a gym anymore as students messing about while I was training as if it is a school play ground, they hog the equipment and reserve it for their mates so nobody else can use it, then when I asked them how long they were going to be they give me attitude not acceptable at all. when I joined 2 years ago it was nothing like it is now. I’ve used a puregym in Yorkshire it was better and it’s wasn’t as bad as this one.

Positive experience: Still needs to turn the music down for classes-how many times have I said I don't want to hear it when working out. The gym has started to slip on cleaning materials recently, at all times of day.

Fantastic experience: Very good gym and plenty of equipment. I mainly use the cardio machines but the whole gym itself seems a very comfortable experience with no stress on what you look like or how you train. Would recommend

Positive experience: Been going here for over 4 years had a year break inbetween, very friendly staff never tried any of the classes or went with a personal trainer, only give it 4 star because there's not much machine to human ratio that is to be excepted though due to budget but when there is like 80+ more people in the gym it's hard to get a machine or bench so you just have to stand around like a peacock wait to fend off other people looking for a machine/bench still an enjoyable experience when there isn't many people there

Fantastic experience: I have used this gym since 2020 and I can’t fault them. I think they are doing their best for a gym in a such a small town. Moved from London but surprised at the care they put in this gym. Especially the gym manager. I don’t know his name but really great guy. He smiles to everyone he meets on the floor making it very easy to ask him any question. Good work to you. In all I think it is a very good gym.

Fantastic experience: What a class place. Almost everything is here. It is lacking a few luxury items, extra machines and kit but what they have is still kept clean and is maintained and repaired in good time. Staff/ PTs are great to work with. When I move, a gym like this will be my first thought to find near me.

Fantastic experience: Gym is big,clean air on works, machines are in good condition. Akward to find the door as its in a tesco carpark. Only thing is the lockers are dated and need attention as rivets on hinges missing so you dont know if your stuff is safe. Similar to birmingham smethwick changing room,

Fantastic experience: Lots of equipment to use and also they ensure cleaning equipment are readily available and all those that participated in the gym I noticed they clean their equipment as soon as they are done using it ready for the next person, so it feels safer as well.
