Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for couple of years now and I love the fitness classes . Blaze, Ignit and Spirit are my favourite classes and I would definitely recommend it to everyone. One of my favourite trainers is Victoria, she is amazing, always smiling, very knowledgeable, every move is so well executed and explained, very motivational also.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to this gym for nearly 2No years, all the staff and instructors provide the best service in their respective roles. Never been one for classes but gave it a go, and Vic in particular has made me feel welcome. Her energy and enthusiasm made me feel comfortable enough to attend more of the classes, and I will continue attending while I can!!! Highly recommend!!

Sat down and spoke to Courtney who was lovely and very informative and broke down the membership for me, she found the best membership for me and is an asset to the company as she put my mind at ease before joining answering all my questions.

Negative experience: AVIOD !!!!! Never use this gym or any of the chain, completely disgusting place gave me a skin condition due to dirty jacuzzi and pool water tried to cancel membership with medical evidence, now got a ARC Debut recovery trying to get money off me to add to stress.......

Negative experience: The changing rooms are rank and stink of piss, sauna looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since the place opened, steam room isn’t even steamy and once again is also disgusting. Got far to many members care more about capacity than quality, £2 for a towel I pay £60 a month for a membership.

Negative experience: Have been a member for 17 years. The standards have fallen year on year and it is approaching the time to quit. Uncontrolled kids run riot, even in the so-called "adult area". It is a H&S disaster area for staff carrying hot food and drinks!! Food strewn all over the place by unruly kids. Forget disabled parking!! If you have a blue badge you can forget any preference for parking. Toilets stink to high heaven. Swearing and obscenities in the changing rooms is offensive. Always too busy to access the equipment/facilities you prefer. Its gone from being the best leisure centre in the region to one of the worst. Sadly. You have been warned. Enjoy!!

Negative experience: I wish I hadn't signed a 12 month contract here. The value for money is awful. They are marketed at the 'leading premium gym' not much premium in here. They do have all the facilities you could want, but they're all run down, dated and they have hardly any classes, even when they do have classes they are at werid times in the day. They double charged us, which seemed to be normal? When we raised the complaint it seemed like it was us. Still waiting to hear back about this a month later. The nets are always missing, for badminton, the gym looks like the 80's and has hardly any equipment. The toilets near the pool are a disgrace. Had a PT session cancelled while I was on my way to the gym, somehow double booked. Had a court cancelled upon arrival. The machine for weighing and body fat is state of the art, has never worked since we started here. I will add some pictures to show the state of the gym in general. The disabled parking is always filled with vans, not a single disabled badge in site, the person I attend the gym with is disabled but we can never get a space. The towels for swimming are great, most of the staff are helpful and friendly, especially the desk staff.

Negative experience: Takes hours to answer the phone and when they do they never return your call.Had an injury so I couldn’t train they harass you for payment so I paid in full for the years and they’ve rolled me into another contract and are asking me for another years.money ruthless people who can’t return calls !!

Negative experience: Booked a trial to start Monday. Online app has been trouble from the start to get logged in. Went to reception to sign in gave my surname in 5 times spelling it out and was told ‘I didn’t understand you.’ Maybe if staff members were concentrating and not talking they would have understood me. Receptionist was rude. Didn’t have a passport or driving licence but could show them a different photo ID I had saved to my phone and was refused. Utter waste of time for something I thought would be good for my well-being ended up being a wasted journey.

Positive experience: Saturday morning pool was good for swimming & not too busy. Showers & changing rooms were clean, but you need a padlock to use the lockers. Nobody told me on entry, so I had to go back & borrow one from reception. Cafe was nice & the soft play was good for toddlers. Nice place.

Negative experience: Been there more than once. It’s a great place for work out, great atmosphere, excellent up to date machines lovely vibe. The changing room and the showers are very run down. But, we had a great time as usual.

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend this place enough. Everything is top notch. Everyone who works there is super helpful and friendly. My PT Geoff has been utterly brilliant. Food is great, coffee selection is diverse and interesting (which is really important to us!). And it's really not that expensive when you consider what you're getting. In fact, now I have everything that the kids and I like to do under one roof, I'm actually saving money from when we were using a bunch of different places. 5 star and 10 on 10.

Negative experience: Went to join but had second thoughts once i turned up, looked dirty and very loud l, lots of kids just running around not for me.

Negative experience: Last Friday (7th April) they had 4 rowing machines, 3 of which were out of order. There were no staff on the floor to speak with, so I told the sole guy on reception who assured me they just need batteries changing. Today (one week later) they now have only 3 rowers, all of which are out of order.

We understand your frustrations, however Tracey, the Assistant General Manager has confirmed only 1 rower is currently not working, as we are waiting for a part to repair this. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and have ensured your feedback has reached our Club Management Team.
Negative experience: This gym has gone right down the pan from previous years, doubled members since lockdown, your lucky to get a parking space and get on a machine due to it being very overcrowded, parking spills onto the main road at front in peak hours, you no longer get regular guest passes with your membership I think I've had 4 in the last 12 months, 14 day memberships are no longer allowed for under 18s due to them not being able to get a sale from it ( since I can remember its been available to everyone ) The gym doesn't care in the slightest about members, it's simply about how many new members they can squeeze in Furthermore, they've also decided to put a child's 3 month membership up by 80% from £25 to £45 a month, so while already paying for 3 memberships, the only way I can take my daughter swimming at David Lloyd when she's home for a week at easter is either by paying £20 a day or £135 for 3 months plus £20 admin fee !! I can't wait to leave and find a more member friendly gym !
Negative experience: AVOID THIS GYM! I joined David Lloyds Knowsley on 28th February with a friend. I went to the gym twice and on both occasions the gym was in a state. The equipment is old and weights where all over the floor, there also isn’t enough dumbbells to go around and equipment was just scattered everywhere. There was no member of staff seen to be taking care of the equipment/ re racking and gym itself is dated and old. For a gym that I am paying triple a month for compared to other local gyms I expected much more than a messy gym with dated and damaged equipment which needs updating. After the two occasions we went the gym it was more than enough for us to both cancel on the 2nd March which is within our 14 day cancellation period stated in their policy therefore I contacted David Lloyd to cancel and get our £50 joining fee back each which we still both haven’t received even though it states in there policy that it will be repaid within 14 days. It’s now 20 days and still waiting. Absolutely shocking. Don’t waste money on joining. I don’t normally leave bad reviews but since we still haven’t received a refund then I feel I have no option to.
Hi Daniel, we are sorry to hear you didn't have a great experience with us and appreciate you letting us know. We are sorry to see you go but understand the Club isn't for you. We can see your refund was processed on the 15th March so we ask you allow a few more days to receive this as it can take up to 14 working days.

Negative experience: Terrible service. Trouble with being cut off mid phone conversation speakingto jasmine,seemingly on purpose, four attempts calling to amend my new membership start date. I had to attend in person, never got apology from anyone. Very poor customer service. Needs a shake up in how to communicate with customers and resolve issues rather than cut them off and block them.

Positive experience: I have attended this gym frequently and each time I find it has more problems. The hygiene levels are poor, on two separate visits now I have had the privilege of seeing one domestic staff and one children's activity staff use the restrooms and not wash their hands. I have been in the gym when not once but twice there have been no blue roll or disinfectant to wipe down equipment. Shower heads are faulty. There are holes in the sealing were water has leaked through. Seals around windows are mouldy, equipment has build up of dirt to the point you can scrap it off. Fabric on some equipment has peaked off. I have witnessed staff cleaning the pool area floor, pushing the dirty water into the swimming pool. Surely this is not sanitary. On a lighter note the staff are always pleasant, happy to help and the food service staff especially even when they are run of their feet have a pleasant can do attitude. Overall just needs a little TLC

Positive experience: Great place, friendly members, excellent staff...but Lloyd's area management need to spruce the place up and improve the time it takes for repairs. Swimming pool men's toilet was out of order for maybe 1 month and the only other poolside toilet was for disabled and remained locked with a code. This meant having to go back to the main toilets at the entrance in swim gear. Not very well thought through! Also ceiling in shower area has clearly seen better days and should have been replaced when the changing rooms were done and the new Blaze area built.

Negative experience: Terrible value for money and poor quality customer service. On arrival for my 'induction' I was told there wasn't anyone available to do an induction and instead a member of staff simply pointed out where the pool, gym and changing rooms were and left me to it. No background into previous activity levels or proper induction on how to use gym equipment properly. On entering the gym I was met with what I can only describe as mayhem, free weights, mats, varying barbells all left around on the floor for others to either pick up or trip over. This can only be down to improper management and education of gym goers and if this happened in any normal gym you'd expect those responsible to be kicked out. The swimming facilities are fair at best with an outdated and most of the time dirty swimming pool only saved by the novelty of the outdoor pool. The sauna and steam rooms are of a small size and again aren't kept to a high hygiene level. Not what you'd expect when paying £70+ a month membership
