Buckie Swimming Pool

Positive experience: The pool and changing rooms are clean and organised. Prices were also reasonable and there is no time-limit on your stay here, so you can swim a few lanes without having to worry about the time or color of your wristband. Fun hour is great for the kids and since it wasn't too busy, there was enough provided mats/toys/etc for everyone who was interested. The pool has a sauna and steam room right next to it which can be used. I also liked that the pool has a deep end (3m) for people/kids that like diving.

Positive experience: Standard style of swimming pool with non of the more modern extras like slides etc. But it is clean and well looked after for its age. The staff are wonderful, a pleasure and a credit to their employers, always seem to have a friendly word and a smile. Outside there is a car park with only the one accessible space as far as I could see, it was not the nearest unfortunately and was not properly marked. Star lost for that I'm afraid. But there are ramps for those that need to gain access to the pool area. My granddaughter has asked me to go and watch her in the pool but it seems I would have to sit in my wheelchair in the pool area as far as she can make out, and I really do not want to do that. Opposite the pool building is a skate boarding park which always seems to have folk in there using it, so having it in a central location is clearly a better idea than at the edge of the town, like another town not too far from here where the park is hardly used except to be vandalised. Overall, it may be an older facility but it suffices for those who like to get out and just enjoy a swim or a sauna.

Positive experience: We have only used the swimming facilities but there are other facilities here that we cannot rate, therefore 4 stars. The pool area is accessible as far as is reasonable, including an accessible changing area. The facilities are easy to use and there are staff to help when needed, though under present restrictions visitors need to be aware of distancing rules. The whole place is clean and well signposted and there is an access ramp outside for wheelchair users, though it doesn't have tactile paving. Once restrictions are lifted, we have no doubt this will be a good, safe place to go with willing, helpful instructors for those that need.

Positive experience: Decent sized pool, can be a bit crazy when the kids r still in, staff are friendly, underwater camera are a bit creepy: ‘they’re there to protect u underwater’ what, i cant remember the last shark attack but nice to know they’re on the lookout

Fantastic experience: A lovely bright pool with windows down one side and a very colourful mural at one end to look at as you swim. Never too busy and always get a good swim.

Negative experience: The swimming pool lifeguards don’t know any rules at all. I was sitting in a sauna with an adult legally and th lifeguard kicked me out. Sometimes it can be good though. I also book the hall and I have a OK experience. Overall the swimming pool service concept is good but the staff are terrible only one or two are nice to people.

Negative experience: Ok for swimming I guess (if you like that sort of thing) , but for spectating a swimming event it wasn't great - cramped seating, no timing board
