Fantastic experience: Great gym, great pool, great little cafe, great staff.

Positive experience: The Louisa centre has a good sized swimming pool and a kiddies pool too. It also has a cafe. The library is situated adjacent to the centre, with a customer access centre adjacent to that. Compared to the facilities offered in many towns it is excellent.

Positive experience: First time visitor and initial impression very favourable. Good range of facilities and activities to suit all ages.

Fantastic experience: The library is in the same building and there is a gym with pool and coffee shop. Very relaxing environment. There is also internet access available.

Positive experience: Took granddaughter for the click and climb, very limited, about 5 climbing walls so if there's a few in there's a lot of hanging around. Using the online booking is a pain.

Positive experience: Cafe opened on Monday 22 July staff seemed totally unprepared card machine was not set up, no cash in the till! on a positive note when we did get served the bacon sandwich was a delight and the coffee delicious. Teething problems good luck it looks amazing

Fantastic experience: I attend the gym regularly and the facilities are excellent. The staff are very helpful and friendly and it represents good value for money with various packages to suit individual circumstances.

Positive experience: Everything you need from a gym is here also tanita scales which are perfect for tracking %'s. Only downfall is can get busy with school kids around 3-6 just chatting.

Positive experience: I spend half my life here, classes, swimming, running and weight training. Friendly, welcomming staff make the place. Currently undergoing a major refit so excited about the changes. Would have given the place 5 stars but changing rooms are basic and a bit dated.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place they have food there a soft play and a library all this as well as a pool it’s mint there is a small warm pool used for little kids and swimming lessons and a normal sized pool. The Louisa centre is local to me so it’s my go-to swim baths. Me and my mates are going there today!!!

Positive experience: The facilities are good, the staff are friendly and the place is generally clean. The pool isn't bad and the life guards have so far seemed interested in the people they are watching over. My only issue is that the gym is often full of children at the times I can make it there. It's not ideal when you want to do a quick session but every piece of equipment is taken over by people who are just hanging out with friends. The changing rooms also need a time limit on them as its weird that you can go in, see it full of kids, do a full session in the gym and come back to he changing rooms just to see the same people in there

Negative experience: Its got a great pool, its just not open to the public enough... i shall explain, ive now been 4 times to use the facilities on a sunday afternoon to teach my son swimming, ive managed once.... basically its either shut because of no staff.... they had a break in and couldnt use the PC;s.....theres an event on.... its a public swimming pool, generally closed to the public, utter sham

Negative experience: Very poor swimming lessons for children here. Instructors are unenthusiastic, rude and dismissive of the young children in their classes. They couldn't be any less interested or less encouraging during their short time with the children. We won't be returning

Positive experience: Only ever visit the library where the staff are very helpful and friendly and there is a good stock of books. You can order books from anywhere in county Durham and only pay 20p when they arrive. You can use the computers and print things out at 20p per page. The only very small issue I'd say is the entrance is very busy, loud, and the automatic doors creak and let cold air in. It will probably be quieter now the refurbishment is finishing.

Negative experience: Receptionist wasn’t very welcoming and quite rude. The cafe, not very inviting, there was a load waiting to be served while the girl assistant stood playing with coffee bags and starting into space leaving her coworker running around trying to serve 5-6 people. Pool is far too cold after 20 minutes our little one was blue and shivering. And the small pool is so shallow it’s not possible for kids to learn to swim as it’s knee height (0.5M depth) - it’s a shame as with some staff training and the pool being a few degrees warmer it would be ideal.

Fantastic experience: Our son have swimming lessons every week and absolutely loves it. Staff are friendly and willing to help. Soft play for little ones a good gym. Only thing I would say is they need more baby change as currently over have two in the swimming changing rooms. As we are in a baby swimming lesson class theres sometimes a rush on to get them.

Negative experience: The centre it's self is clean and tidy. The let down is the youth that enter this premises causing a nuisance for families in the pool the life guards do there best but most the youths need removein and banning

Positive experience: The cafe doesn't accept card payments I had to run over the road to Asda cash machine, my granddaughter is only 2 and you have to ask at reception for the toilet key, which isn't good for toilet training or confidential for other users, and a bit undignified

Positive experience: Staff are friendly, place is generally clean. Classes for kids and the soft play are reasonably priced. Can be difficult to get to swim with all the lessons on but that will obviously vary with everyone's availability. Easier to deal with if you're from the area.

Fantastic experience: I've visited and swum in the pool twice recently staff are very and take great attention to the pool. It is very clean and a pleasure to swim in.

Fantastic experience: Only went to swim but the pool is a decent size, nice and clean and there are many helpful, friendly lifeguards on hand. Also throughout the summer holidays kids swim free so that's also a huge bonus.

Positive experience: Swimming under Covid restrictions is well handled, although limited info provided and not told about restrictions on permitted strokes etc (not allowed to swim down using backstroke for example). Spacing in pool good. IT issue meant despite having receipted booking did not show on baths records and could have been refused!!

Positive experience: Good leisure centre and their covid prevention measures seem to be working efficiently. Unfortunately the infant swimming classes don't seem to be progressing much due to lack of 1 to 1 instruction. Staff always a pleasure.
