Energique Fitness and Wellness Centre

Negative experience: Possibly one of the worst run businesses I’ve come across. Rang up to ask about membership, no answer (this becomes apparent later in this review). Rang again hours later they answered, said I would come down to have a look around before paying. Well I’m so glad I did that! Turns out there’s no need to pay anyway. Stood at the desk waiting for someone to show for around 15 mins (whilst the phone rang non stop, from other people like me, trying to figure out membership). QR code door, wasn’t even locked so, took it upon myself to have the look around. Facility’s look really good, just a shame they don’t care enough to take your money. I then waited another 10-15 mins to see if anyone would bother showing up (which they didn’t).

Negative experience: I was told I had to send an email for swimming info. I did that and have had no response.

Positive experience: Great price for a full experience, full 5 would be if pool had more availability

Fantastic experience: Loving being a member of this gym. All the staff are wonderful, the prices are really affordable and there's every piece of equipment you might need. Plus a pool, sauna, steam room, studio classses and squash.

Fantastic experience: Have been coming to energique very inconsistently for the last 4 years but thanks to Chris I am fully back in the swing of it, he is a great instructor and goes above and beyond to help everyone - a real asset to the team!

Fantastic experience: Great sized gym with plenty of space and excellent equipment. Their private “My Gym Space” is a huge bonus and perfect for workouts with friends. The whole Energique team are welcoming, fun and friendly which adds to the enjoyment of going. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Went back to Energique yesterday for the first time and was impressed by the work they've undertaken to reopen safely. The screens, regular cleans and booking system all work well together without loosing the friendly atmosphere that the gym always had. I'm back in tonight for another spin session!

Negative experience: Was told on signing there are ways to pause or cancel membership, most big chains no longer force annual contracts like these do. I had to move away and asked to cancel, they sent letters threatening to send the bill to collection agency after a week. Join the community gym no annual contracts. I'm still paying but dont live near it.
