Fantastic experience: Great gym. Everything you need with a decent atmosphere and it's 24 hours.

Negative experience: No option of cancellation using the app. Cancel your direct debit and be threatened with debt collection over £29 membership. Ridiculous

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym: When my old gym (Trugym) closed last year, I visited most of the gyms in the area, to see which would suit my needs best. I chose this one partly because of it's handy location, but also because it's a straightforward gym which is very much focused on weight training (free weights and machines). For those of us who wish to turn up, lift weights and go home, it's just about perfect. Yes, it's popular and busy at times, but so are most decent gyms in the area. If you require a gym with a pool, a steam room or a big cafe, then you are probably better off looking elsewhere. However, if you are after a gym with lots of benches, loads of dumbells and plenty of decent machines, this one ticks all the boxes, in my opinion. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. After training here for a few months, I have discovered that the best thing about this gym is the other members. They are a friendly bunch, who help each other along and generally prefer to lift others up, rather than put them down. I recently purchased a 2nd membership for my 16 year old son, who also seems to love training here. For the time being, I cannot see myself wanting to train anywhere else

Negative experience: Booked in for a day pass for me and my partner £14 stood waiting ringing buzzer for attention and calling the gym for over 20 mins with no one coming to help. Spent the money and had to leave without entering the gym. Told that someone from the gym would contact me . No refund given for this wasted nearly £15 will never go back. Horrific experience awful gym

Fantastic experience: With Tru Gym closing OneGym was one of many gyms I tried but saw keep myself coming back so I joined. Good price with no contract & great atmosphere & lighting. Also can bring my Son at certain times. Stockton is bigger but a lot busier where as Thornaby has a good balance.

Negative experience: Terribly designed doors that don't let you in half of the time, broken and faulty gym equipment, personally witnessed someone injure themselves badly on one. Poor changing facilities and dirty toilets. To top it all off, a money-grabbing "monthly" membership which, when cancelled you actually have to pay for the next month even if you have no intention to use it. Really poor customer service, clearly ran by those putting profit over customer service, even in these times where cost of living is rising.

Positive experience: Great gym area with loads of equipment. Packed in peak hours, but can genuinely get on most equipment you need to use. Not enough dumbbells. Changing rooms way to small for size of gym. If the changing rooms were bigger it would easy be 4 star. But the length of time you wait to jump in the shower before work is crazy.

Positive experience: The off peak times are terrible, the £16.99 advert you see outside all these gyms is realistically unavailable to anyone that has a job so actually its £30 a month unless you, can train before 3pm or any time sat-sun the all day sat-sun is good but realistically most people rest or do other things weekend, If you do shifts youve no chance. Its a bit cheaper if you tie into a 12 month contract, which is not bad but you can get cheaper.. my last gym was 27 a month no contract any time access. The facility is good and staff are nice but for a bit more each week you can get the pool, sauna, steam room of bannatynes. They should give off peak customers 730pm till 9pm weekdays then it would be really good value at £16.99 and usable to eveyone except dole wallers and house wives, realistically its alot more. UPDATE....ou could have cried at my Review but your response was nice and very proffesional, i appreciate that and quite witty. IIs made me think Perhaps i was a bit harsh with 3 stars and i need to find more constructive things to do during my break times lol, so ive upped it. To be fair the Only £16.99 thing annoyed me, i found it misleading but it should not affect my view on the gym which is a really good facility. Plus as i said before the staff are bang on.. Best of luck for the future.

Fantastic experience: Great gym. Logical layout, good free weights section and top Cybex / Technogym machines that are always all working and kept clean and in good condition. Never too busy, all faciliti w clean, staff happy and helpful. Other members also friendly and no daft bravado. All round a good proper gym presented in a clean and welcoming manner. Like how is it dark set with vibrant lighting so looks the same no matter what time of day or night. For the money it is brilliant brilliant value.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym, the staff are friendly, plenty of machines and free weights and I love that it’s full of people who just want to better themselves. I could not disagree more with the guy below who states it’s full of WAGS and lasses hogging weights they don’t even use. I’m an English teacher for one and I spend a lot of time in the weights area working on myself, like many of the girls I see in there. Before OneGym I didn’t feel comfortable training with weights, now I do. I’d highly recommend.

Negative experience: Very poorly run gym that is over crowded and full of pretentious woman who hog the machines and weights whilst not even using them. They let the gym become over crowded 95% of the time. I had to get a medical letter from my GP to get out of their contract. Seriously do not join this gym there are far better run yms about who do not tie you in like this place does. I would never recommend this place. They also charged me for a months membership even though I did not use the gym and the GP letter was 3 days after they took the payment and are refusing to refund it. This gym is all about greed and not for the real gym enthusiast. The owners response below is exactly why I got out of this pathetic Gym. I was not and from from intimidated by the females and to say the women look good is an understatement !! Nothing but WAGS and your whole attitude is appalling. The gym is poorly run and the equipment is not up to spec. It is a dark dingy claustrophobic place to train.

Positive experience: Everything you need at a good price. Slightly darker than it needs to be, though it does create a good training atmosphere, specially when the music is cranked up!

Positive experience: Using this gym as mine is shut for holidays, so can't really judge it against others in the area. It's a commercial gym, so has all the standard equipment, along with some decent Crossfit style equipment. Only has 2 squat racks but haven't had to queue for them. The lighting is dim which I'm not a fan of, but hey, it offers day passes so can't be too bad ;-)

Negative experience: Waited ages to speak to someone about joining only to be told that I "Don't fit in" with the image of the gym ! I take it that is because I'm over 40 with a bit of a belly & don't wear under armour clothing I'll stick to where I "belong" then

Fantastic experience: A great gym. Staff very friendly, professional and welcoming. A good range of equipment. I only do the cardiovascular and I can always get on anything except maybe a short wait for the "eternal staircase". Never found anything broken or dirty.
