Fantastic experience: Fantastic Leisure Centre. The facilities are always clean and well-equipped, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. There's a large car park, making visits convenient. My children are regular swimmers here and members of the local diving team who make great use of the movable pool floor. Couldn't ask for a better place for their training and our family visits! Highly recommend!

Positive experience: Took the little one swimming here today, nice and clean with good facilities. Friendly and welcoming staff. Pool was on the cooler side so daughter was more focused on shivering than trying to swim. Thanks for a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: My son had a canoe experience with his scouts group, it is a brilliant facility. They're able to raise and lower the pool floor which is pretty cool. Very clean.

Fantastic experience: Good apart from someone swimming toward me

Positive experience: Staff always friendly, always clean. Only thing that annoys me is other users, especially in the pool. They think they own the pool and all it’s space. There is signs saying swim clockwise around the pool so there is space for everyone to swim but instead some people come in like bulldozers and just expect people to move for them. Can the lifeguards / staff start to advise people to follow the rules please as it’s not enjoyable to swim with people rushing past you. I’ve been kicked before by people clearly not considerate of their surroundings and other people and acting as if they are the only ones in the space. It’s happened more than once. It really ruins the experience. It would also be good if during the week in school hours if children only be permitted in the small pool as you can hardly swim lengths with kids splashing and screaming.

Positive experience: Good parking. Good swimming and changing facilities. Onsite gym not used. Seating utilitarian but typical. It gets a little warm, so perhaps improvements could be made to the ventilation system. Vending machines are very expensive, so take something with you to eat and drink.

Fantastic experience: Doing the aqua fit classes are great. The instructors and music we can sing to makes it very enjoyable .Everyone of the staff we see have always got a smile for us they are amazing.

Negative experience: Child has today missed his swimming lesson due to lack of communication. Apparently there were signs in the swimming baths but unsure why an email/text or the teacher can’t tell us the times have moved for the following week?! Apparently we have to now take your child swimming and then go round reading all the signs?!

Negative experience: My sons just turned 8 and he has to start doing swimming lessons here at school after the holidays, so took him today to get him use to it, the pool is absolutely freezing! He couldn't warm up at all or have fun as he was so cold had to get out, now he's refusing to go to this swimming baths again.

Fantastic experience: Green Star Canoe Club hold their weekly winter training here, it’s clean and easily accessible; the floors can be adjusted in depth too. My only slight criticism is that it’s sometimes it’s a little chilly!

Positive experience: Husband loves it here for badminton. He generally plays every week.

Positive experience: It's clean, pretty well maintained and generally a good place to be. Because it's one of the better leisure complex it makes it quite busy most time, but that's to be expected. The staff do their best and are more often than not very helpful. I can definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Was a member of this gym and swimming for some time. Can't fault the place. My little ones did trampolining here and gymnastics. They loved it! Staff were great with the kids.

Fantastic experience: My eldest Grandchild and myself had a wonderful time and at 13:30 the Diving Pool floor lowered! Mint. Over all it was good though I got told off for Diving in the main pool,my bad.

Positive experience: Gym closes before the rest of leisure centre. Should have longer hours especially during weekends and Fridays.

Negative experience: Although I'm never going swimming to spend time in the toilets, I can't take away the fact how awful they were. The stench of urine hit me like a wall as I opened the door. The sink worktops need replacing and somewhere specific needs to be created for the 'Hey Girls' products rather than being left on top of the hand dryer. The changing rooms were ok. A bonus, the pool area appeared to be clean.

Fantastic experience: First time visiting for a swim. Online prices and times seem accurate. Tills took payment and then asked if we had £1 for the lockers. Unfortunately we didn't, but the server gave us a token (excellent customer service). Group and single cubicle changing rooms available. Group 1 was clean but could have done with a changing stand (will try another cubicle next time to see if they have one). Pool was not overly cold and a pleasure to swim in. Separate Life guards for each pool.

Positive experience: This is a really good place to learn to swim ,the staff are nice and accommodating the instructors are really good. The facilities are clean and well kept.

Negative experience: Am rating this low not for the leisure centre but for one of the lady staff who was very rude to us today. We were four people three had memberships of which two had card. Fourth one payed for a single day pass. Without asking for further details she told she is gonna cancel our membership by thinking that we don’t have it. Remember she is the one who scanned and allowed us to enter. They should not promote these kind of staff in such a good place.

Positive experience: There is certainly a lot here. From preschool swimming to full gym access for adults etc. The equipment is good and the gym is tidy and clean. The pool is great for its movable floor to all one depth. However baby pool is not always open and diving is only on at certain times. Some staff can be pretty rude but don't let that put you off.

Negative experience: After having a break from this gym due to covid, I thoughts it's time to return. After paying my joining fee and first months subscription (£52) I found out it was a big mistake. The gym has changed for the worse. It's too full for its own good. It's just horrible. I spent 10mins in and walked out. For a small room it's has far too much stuff and thus too many people. Regret signing up

Positive experience: We have been members for a few years and always found the staff very helpful and obliging. However, it is disappointing that our favourite receptionist has left as she was told she spent too much time talking to the customers. The lady concerned showed genuine empathy with people and was a real asset to the organisation and made my wife and myself feel special!!! I am afraid that in this day and age life has become very inpersonal as the main concern is to make money. Things will change!!
