Negative experience: Been going here for a while now. Something or the other is always broken- sometimes the boiler- can’t take shower, or the sauna in men’s room, or some equipment. So one is not able to plan an activity. Maintenance is an issue the management needs to take serious. This is a gym with potential. But If one can’t take a shower after a sweaty workout then what is the point?

Negative experience: From my personal experience, my access code is not working I been trying to get into the gym, and there is always no one around! Yesterday I spended nearly 2 hours from 11. I have bad experiences, so I definitely won't be using this gym! Don't even waste your time on email them or call want get respond. Lowest level gym I have ever been!

Negative experience: Womens sauna has been broken for a year now. Continuous excuses when they bother to reply to emails, which is very rare. Have asked for a complaints procedure but emails are being ignored, when i have asked in person staff say they dont know or the part needs to be fitted but no sign of it ever being fixed.

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym for over a year since moving back to Watford and it’s my favourite gym in the town! Not many gyms have the community that this place has and I love it! Everyone is so supportive of each other and want the best for each other. Met some awesome trainers and workers out there, Marco being one of them. His energy is amazing, always smiling and is so eager to help people in the gym. Both Marco and Rishi are the ones that are running to the entrance when there’s an issue, they are both so helpful and it’s brilliant to see! The staff at NRG are passionate about their job, constantly improving the gym and listening to our feedback. An overall amazing environment with great equipment and machine. If you’re not too sure going, get a day pass and see for yourself!

Negative experience: If only the air conditioning was working each time I went. Which was often. If only all the equipment was working. I have left this gym and gone elsewhere.

Negative experience: Treadmills are very old. Some don't even work. Same with the cycling machines. Cross trainers are filthy. The level of cleanliness here is disgusting. Very cheap budget like machines. Do yourself a favour... pay the extra, where machines actually work.

Fantastic experience: I am a member of NRG Lewisham and thought I would pay this gym a visit whilst in Watford for a few days. I found the staff friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The gym was clean and well kept. There was so much variety in their equipment and some gems that are not available in Lewisham. I am hoping to return for a second session before I return to London. I would definitely recommend this gym. NRG is one of the best gyms groups around.

Positive experience: Disappointing small sauna that you can’t even lay down in. Freezing cold showers with no force that go on and off quickly. Couldn’t wash my hair there. The spin room is locked except for classes so there are only 3 other spin bikes in the place and when I went to use them 2 were in use and so close to each other not viable. Also who wants to be that exposed doing spin moves to the whole floor? Also, no odd numbers of weights when I use 5kg. I went twice but cancelled my membership. Could be so much better. Plus points is that it’s cheap and convenient in town.

Negative experience: Disappointing experience at this gym. The treadmills were in a sorry state, with half of them out of order. The overall air circulation was poor, making the workout environment uncomfortable. After enduring it for two months, I decided to cancel my contract. Overall, not a gym I would recommend due to the maintenance issues and subpar facilities.

Negative experience: Please do some cleaning I appreciate you having posters asking the members to wipe the machines but that's something you should do at least once every day, this comes from someone who used to work in a gym. And please fix the machines, especially in the ladies zones. Cables are worn out and plenty of loose screws plus odd noises. Besides the machines everything else is dirty and it's getting disgusting. Please clean the mats and the heavy bags as well, and the bathrooms and everything

Fantastic experience: I joined nrg gym recently as i went with a friend on bring a friend friday, and i felt really welcomed and everyone was very nice and supportive. There was a guy called rishi who was helping me and my friend with our form as well as giving us advice for future workouts 10/10

Fantastic experience: I joined the gym recently and so did a few of my friends and honestly one of the best decisions this gym is probably the best one in Watford and on Boxing day I got given a free pass by a guy called Rishi and really encouraged me and my friends to come and he helped us out a lot and convinced us to become members which so far is an amazing decision. Without him I probably wouldn't have joined such a quality gym.

Negative experience: The gym is in pathetic condition. Half of the Treadmills are not working. Rusty Equipment. Cables were broken in almost all row equipment. Weights were thrown around the gym. Tried to cancel the membership after one day, but they told me they would take another payment after a month.

Fantastic experience: Always visit here frequently. If I was local I’d definitely be a consistent member. Staff are friendly annd helpful and machines are always running smoothly. Great environment in terms of actual members, music etc.

Positive experience: Decent gym, was offered a free day pass in exchange for a review which was nice. Plenty of decent equipment, some of which did have heavy signs of wear. But that's to be expected. Friendly staff, Not too busy but I went at an off peak time. Elevator was out of use so had to climb the 3 flights of stairs. Overall 7/10 would go again.

Fantastic experience: Probably the most complex and spacious gym in Watford. I fully recommend it to any type of athlete (beginner/intermediate/advanced). Also, Marco is extremely polite and helpful any time is needed, as well as the rest of the staff.

Negative experience: I was excited to go to this gym for a course as I used the NRG gym in Lewisham but I was extremely disappointed the place was not just absolutely disgustingly dirty but there were no members of staff in sight

Negative experience: Good gym with some old school machines. Location is very good. They are having some offers for winter if you join. Before joining go through the contract and then sign it . I was told that there would be no joining fee by the staff and I didn’t even go to gym but they have charged me the money along with the monthly payment.
