Stradbroke Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre

Positive experience: Love the actual pool and the people who work there but the changing room area is really dirty: sand, muddy shoes, talcum powder and other nasty bits and it is badly fitted out: the cubicle doors have a huge gap; getting to and from the lockers is a todo as the cubicle doors keep closing in your face; there is no proper tap to rinse swimwear, and mirrors and hair drier are inconveniently and unhygienically placed on the way inside the pool instead of on the way out

Negative experience: Worst decision signing my son up for swimming lessons. Meant to be 30 mins in the pool. Sometimes only 20 mins long. Never the same instructor. So kids have no idea who’s teaching them. Very bad with communication with young children. Spoke to management and she was very rude. Asked for a refund and they said no they don’t EVER do that.

Fantastic experience: Great accessible gym and pool. Lots of upper body workout equipment for those who can’t use their legs, a pool hoist and massive disabled changing/showers/toilets. Good price and super friendly staff.

Positive experience: Facilities are ok and generally not too busy. Staff could be more plentiful and motivational. Free parking on site and public 0.5k running track adjacent

Fantastic experience: Partners daughter has swimming lessons, very nice pool, shallow at both ends so excellent for younger swimmers. Very friendly staff and swim teachers, always looks clean and reasonable prices.

Positive experience: Used gym last 4 months whilst local. Decent gym, clean changing rooms. Needs another bench and a simple dips apparatus to improve it.

Fantastic experience: Really friendly staff and fantastic swimming teachers. Great gym and good swimming pool. Pool is 20m and warm, shallow at each end, deep in the middle. Good pool timetable and lane available for training during open swim sessions.
