Fantastic experience: Went to a tile making session for the ceramic feature planned to be put up in Eckington. Great fun to take part in! Enjoyed it so much am booked to go again. Made a tile showing Park Mill - others have done a variety of subjects linked to Eckington.

Fantastic experience: Excellent swimming pool for learners. Friendly, professional, and caring staff. Visiting this pool is one of the highlights of my week.

Positive experience: Just here temporarily with a club as our pool is being rebuilt. I don't use facilities here, but everything looks good and my daughter is happy with the pool lol. Cafe part has cake and flavoured coffee along with usual snacks, Sandwich, panini type thing. I can rate the caramel coffee and coffee cake as superb. Staff are lovely

Fantastic experience: Had a lovely swim today at Eckington swimming baths, very popular place with activities for all, very inclusive with friendly staff, lovely cafe. Will be back next week.

Negative experience: Big prices for a small out of date council building very poor facilities!! And no adult swimming times ! Totally rip off staff look like they need the gym and try to take personal details saying you have to be a member when you don’t even live in the area !! Avoid the hassle of this old run down place !!the local Council Sould be a shamed

Positive experience: Nice little pool and gym, good disabled access but only 3 disabled spaces available. Mixed changing room's.

Negative experience: My daughter had been attending swimming lessons for 2 years. Had no choice but to pull her out due to the swim teacher having no control whatsoever my daughter then didn’t progress anymore. Claire was lovely the first years teacher. The second teacher Meg who didn’t help to improve at all so changed her teacher even though I didn’t want a 3rd (all that change when school starting also I didn’t want but felt needed. Fast forward to her new teacher Libby. Her first lesson with her my daughter was put on a time out! Never before and I was told she “just doesn’t listen and that’s why she will have been dragged around in previous lessons” I felt this was personal and my poor 4 year old was made to cry and feel left out. This was all told to me in a defensive manner while Meg was smiling at me. Very rude and unprofessional. Very disappointed. Will be contacting the council soon as I haven’t received a response, reply or refund offer for that month.

Fantastic experience: Great swimming session with 4 year old granddaughter Shallow end roped off for the little ones floats supplied. The rest left for lane swimming. Clean and large changing room cubicles Good coffee afterwards in the cafe with a soft play area

Positive experience: I haven't been for 20 years, all changed for the better. The gym is spacious and clean, and there is a good amount of equipment to use. Lovely cafe area. Good choice of swim times, changing rooms nice big cubical, floor could do with being washed down regular, slightly dirty, need sliders. Good variety of classes, must book in advance to get the class you want. The staff I have seen so far appear friendly, value for money.

Fantastic experience: I take my little boy here for swimming lessons. I couldn’t fault them always on time always really friendly and my little boy loves his lessons. He has come on so much in such a short amount of time. Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

Fantastic experience: Go for the gym. Lovely small gym with plenty of equipment. Quiet place not full of buff gym lovers, just people focussed on themselves of all different ages and sizes

Negative experience: I agree with a few coments on here can never get to swim properly because half the pool taken up most of the time by children ect.would av been better to use the pool that you got rid of.

Positive experience: The Gym area facilitates all necessary exercises, especially for cardiovascular oriented exercise . The Swimming facilities are all so clean and safe for young children, as well as other patrons looking to keep fit and practice swimming skills. The month to month membership fee is quite expensive though at £35 (non contract) per month. I'd also prefer an area for powerlifting (100kg+ deadlift and squat area in the gym), but overall the staff are friendly and helpful whether it be during the mornings on a Sunday or Evenings on a Friday, they have the patience and the charisma to keep everyone happy

Fantastic experience: Great swimming pool, friendly staff, clean facilities and a warm pool temperature. Our children really enjoy the family swimming session with floats. There are plenty of large family changing rooms and good sized lockers. The only improvement I could suggest is that the showers run for longer, pressing the button gives about 10 seconds of water.

Positive experience: Started training at the Gym within Eckington (Sheffield outskirts) Leisure Centre a few weeks ago and I can honestly say that I have been highly impressed with the facility... A decent sized gym, with plenty of Cardio equipment and excellent Muscle development equipment also there too... The cleanliness of the operation is very high, with sanitiser available at every station... Everyone seems very friendly and there is a great mix of young and older, male and female training hard to achieve their desired goals... Well done to the operational team who run the Gym at Eckington Leisure Centre

Positive experience: Nice pool, the spectator area is very, very hot. Really unpleasant when there for 10 hours watching swim galas

Positive experience: Decent pool, not as warm as the water could be, very deep at the deep end as used for diving practice and hosts a swimming club. Changing room floors notorious for being slippery - if you have a fall make sure it's recorded. That's what the 4 not 5 stars Aquafit is fun and my nephew's enjoy their swimming lessons. Decent little cafe, some swimming essentials available to buy and vending machines easy to use.

Fantastic experience: Decent sized gym and pool facilities. Facilities are also regularly cleaned. Memberships are reasonably priced also

Positive experience: Full of young Mother's unable to look after their children. There was a pre-school boy wearing his wellies in the no shoes allowed play area, running around with a gingerbread man in his mouth. Needless to say, he tripped and smashed his mouth onto the floor matting. Fortunately he only cried a little, but could have been a whole different outcome.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming as a customer to Eckington swimming pool and sport's centre since i was a kid and now an adult customer and instructor. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The pool is warm and very clean The changing facilities are great with open and private shower areas. Changing facilities and under floor heating. Use of 3 hairdryers too. The Time table for classes and pool has a good variety for all abilities. The cost is very reasonable for both payg and membership. The coffees and snack bar Is also a lovely space to either watch the pool or catch up after a session. Great place to come for all.

Negative experience: Went for a swim this morning at 8.00am. Half the pool was for lane swimming and the other half allowed children from 9.00 so reduced swimming capacity massively as the lanes were busy. After speaking to a member of staff to find out what times were available for adult only swimming I was told there weren't any but you could swim on school days!! So, if you work and cant go during the day and want to swim with adults Iwould advise you dont go there. Shame as I cant fault the place

Fantastic experience: Clean changing rooms. Pool is clean and well kept. The pool is about to go though some renovations to make it even better. It has been a bit difficult over covid but it's just the same everywhere else. The gym is modern and was only recently upgraded. pricing seams fair. I don't have a full membership I just pay for individual sessions.

Positive experience: I really like this pool. At present the lanes are large in size due to COVID but at least it means there is plenty of space. The changing rooms are clean and well presented and the pool is clean and well maintained. My only reservation such as it is is that I am not allowed to use my training fins so a session where I can would be great.

Fantastic experience: I only use the pool so I can't comment on the gym. The pool is 25 meters with 8 lanes. The unisex changing facility is clean and there are different size lockable cubicle to cater for individuals, families and the disabled (wheel chair users). There is a baby changing facility and there are different size lockers for your clothes which mirror the size of the cubicles a 1£ coin or trolley token is required to lock the locker. The pool itself remarkably clean and tidy, the water is pleasantly warm and the clorine level is quite low but it does the job and means my eyes don't water for hours after a swim. Since Covid 19 the regime has changed with the pool divided into 3 lanes, slow, medium 7 fast or Slow, Medium/Fast & family dependant on what time it is; with a maximum of 6 swimmers per lane

Positive experience: First time at Eckington for a lane swim due to covid you have to pre-book your session which was quite straight forward.Staff and Customers are adhering to the procedures in place and the system seems to be running well

Fantastic experience: Recently joined the gym here and started taking their aquasize and aquajog classes and I'm really enjoying it. Pool is a decent temperature, changing rooms/showers and toilets are generally well looked after-just maybe need to mop toilet floors in cubicles a little more frequently - staff are very friendly, particularly Alison who does the gym and aqua classes,and the manager (think his name was Dave?!) Have now signed my son up too.
