Negative experience: Staff are a bit odd, perhaps racial bias. They keep staring at me when I'm working out. Weird.

Fantastic experience: A lot of parking spots

Positive experience: It's fine, everything you need for a standard gym goer. Not so good if you're a strength athlete - only one proper platform, with one adjacent deadlift platform - they are always busy. In terms of the crowd, mix of everything - from staring men to those who can't put their weights back and boys hogging the machines for ages

Positive experience: Water doesnt work

Fantastic experience: Best value for money gym around, 24/7 & large selection of machines. Can’t fault it.

Negative experience: Gym its ok but a water machine not working like 2 weeks. Another water ( Orange) machine every week its problem , no working or something. I Pay more for this and from manager all the time I listem this somw story - someone come next week .....

Negative experience: When you’re fixing the water fountain ? At this point I feel you’re just keeping as “broken” so you can sell more water to people. It has been more than a month now and I have to fill my bottle on the sink of toilet when I need water. This is absolutely ridiculous

Negative experience: It was my 1st day at PureGym Kittybrewster yesterday. I could not finish my work out due to the unpleasant smell: no ventilation at all and it is very hot! I can not even imagine doing cardio there!

Negative experience: l left my staff in the gym locker and on my return l found the locker broken into and the padlock missing.Spoke to a staff member and l was told that they threw away my staff.Who does that.That was disrespectful.You dont break into someone's locker and throw away their staff.I felt disrespected

Fantastic experience: This PureGym is the first gym I have felt comfortable in!! I had an incident at my old gym that made me move to this one and I so glad I did! I particularly want to highlight Callum who works there. His energy is UNMATCHED I started off at one of his classes just under a year ago and I have never looked back! His classes will have you feeling happier, healthier and hotter in no time at all

Fantastic experience: Pure Gym - what can I say, Great parking, great location, great facilities. I'm an early starter, so I usually attend at 3 to 4 am. when I can get in, do what I need, then get out....... Great place Great Value for money

Fantastic experience: Clean, equipment in place and cleaning stations stocked.

Negative experience: This is a pretty poor and uncomfortable gym. The air con has been broken for a long time and the place will be a sauna for days if there’s any warm weather. If you’re lucky, they open one fire exit and you get a breeze if you stand within 5 metres of it. On the plus side, weights are not quite as nightmarishly misplaced and scattered around the gym as they used to be (bare minimum of a gym really), and classes don’t blast their music like some other puregyms. If you drive to the gym and ACC hasn’t closed every road in the city yet, I strongly recommend Results Gym on south college street. And to add: on visiting Rubislaw puregym, that is a far better gym!

Negative experience: I have left the gym after a year. One reason is that, during this time, I have seen good trainers come and go - some after only a few weeks. This constant flux has a detrimental effect on the classes. The other reason is the air quality. After having had to live without air conditioning for much of the summer because the system was broken, the air was much too hot and sticky for me again when winter season started. I could not work out in cardio classes without getting dizzy. I wasn't alone in this, but was nevertheless told that all was as it should be, and there was nothing the gym could do anyway. So this is obviously the new normal but nothing I can accept. I have now joined another gym.

Positive experience: Was great in the beginning. Still good there air conditioners drip in to buckets on the ground. The music from the classes can’t be unbearable loud.

Positive experience: Minimalistic gym . Only positive is it s 24x7 accessibility. Rest all is bare minimum

Negative experience: Not interesting!!! Everyday awful bad smell comes from open toilets to changing room!!! Very crowded!!! Wasting so much time to could use things!!! Not enough facilities. Shower have not very warm water and SPECILLY there is push button for water which is make me angry after 7,8 seconds turn off and I need to push that again and again!! No space designed for hanging clothes at shower.

Positive experience: A downtown ordinary gym with just bare minimum facilities at a low price . Only plus point is it s 24 hrs opening times

Fantastic experience: Great place for workouts, so many new machines. Love the space. You can book a “get start” session via the app, an instructor will provide a better explanation about all the machines useful for you. In the morning it’s really calm and quiet.

Negative experience: It's dirty. Around 10 p.m., the buckets overflow with trash. The lockers are broken. No internet inside. I don't recommend

Fantastic experience: In Pure Gym I found all the equipment I have expected and I like how the place is set up.

Negative experience: Nice gym, however make sure to always put belongings in lockers as my Airpods got stolen in female changing rooms. If you leave jackets/bags etc hanging, other members will steal it!

Positive experience: relatively quiet today & lots of equipment available.

Positive experience: Good during night and midnight it’s the closest gym to me but out of all the other ones in Aberdeen I’ve been to this is definitely been the worst . Staff are useless during day. Nowhere to be seen

I have booked the induction appointment through FB messenger which was more feasible than the app. Trainer Andrew Waddle briefed about general information besides introducing me to the gym equipment. Fantastic experience: I love the gym, excellent range of equipment and the bonus it's 24hrs. The only thing which I'm not comfortable yet with is the removal of social distance between machines. While PG is following GOv guidance, I'm just not comfortable yet with returning since these changes have been in place. All machines are clean and cleaning facilities are remaining but maybe once I get passed the fear factor of being so close to someone again I shall make a quick return to one of the best gyms I've been to ❤ stay safe and enjoy :-)

Positive experience: Usually a great place to work out staff is friendly, cheap, good quality equipment. During covid they supplied all the desinfectant for the equipment and asked people to wear masks but at the moment many people just walk about or chatting with their friends with no masks on and staff does not challenge them. Safety measures are being relaxed at a time when numbers are at a peak....

Fantastic experience: Great facilities and very spacious. Even when it's busier, there's always machines available. During the COVID period, I always see the vast majority of people wearing masks and sanitising the equipment after use.

Negative experience: Cancelled my membership via in August 2020.. never had any payment taken from me & could no longer access the app so all good. But no they decided in May to charge me £40 and refuse to refund me this as apparently cancellation via email is not sufficient despite the fact their phone lines are closed and the cancellation service in the app was suspended at the time. Nothing personal to pure gym kittybrewster I'm sure all the staff are amazing.. shame headoffice can't read emails.

Fantastic experience: My local gym. Lots of equipment, but weights area always crowded with the same people. Great distancing in place during this time between machines. Plenty of cleaning facilities.

Positive experience: Lots of equipment on both floors, so plenty of room to workout if it is busy. Plenty of hand sanitiser and cleaning stations around gym floor, which are topped up regularly. My only peev at the moment is that on every one of my visits in the last 2 months, at least half of the gym goers are not adhering to the rule requiring a face mask to be worn at all times when you are out with the designated workout areas. I've not seen any staff members pull people up about this, which is just going to mean that they will continue to disregard the rules and put everyone else at risk.

Positive experience: So I wrote this review last year and gave it a one star... Pre Covid = ace During Covid = I literally think this may be ground zero. I (reluctantly) went back to the gym today and what a difference... four members of staff were on the floor and I saw them challenging multiple people for not obiding by the rules. Good effort Kitty!

Fantastic experience: Special thanks to gym manager Aidan for showing me around, made me feel very welcome and at ease. He went an extra mile giving me his own time to familiarise me with equipment, how to use it , advised me on exercises, all in a friendly relaxed manner to make sure I'm comfortable on my next visit. He's an absolute Star. Thank you so much.

Negative experience: Sadly, I am greatly disappointed with the PureGym services so far. For a gym that demands a joining fee as well as not the most generous monthly fee, I would have expected top quality services. Instead I have met with lack of basic equipment (chain to hold weights when doing tricep dips, "balls" handle for tricep exercises), 10 minute waiting queues for particular machines or equipment. The cherry at the top of the cake today was the settings of the treadmill. Yesterday, I was at treadmill that had km/h setting, today, to my unpleasant surprise, a different treadmill I used was in m/h. No indication whatsoever as to what setting is a particular treadmill using. That's a safety risk if you ask me. To sum it up, I regret I did not rejoin ASV instead and if there was a refund option I would not hesitate for a second.

Positive experience: Fairly well equipped however, always busy and should really have slots available for booking with the whole Covid thing.

Fantastic experience: This is a really great gym! I have to say that I'm lucky enough to have the chance to come here during off-peak times and always found the premises clean and tidy, all the equipment in place and very helpful and friendly staff. In the women's bathroom there are showers and hairdryers. Classes are always great, although I believe the PTs should correct the customers' posture if they're able to spot when wrong and dangerous! Other than that I always enjoy both classes and inspections. If you're a student I recommend you take advantage of the different kinds of discounts you can get through Unidays, it's good value for money!
