Bromley Tennis Centre

Negative experience: Bromley Tennis Centre has earned a one-star rating due to its extremely long waiting list for classes. We’ve been waiting for nearly four years without any progress. Despite the excellent facilities and coaching, the inability to access lessons after such a prolonged period has been incredibly frustrating. It’s disappointing that, despite the centre’s popularity, the management of class availability seems to be inadequate, preventing eager players from fully utilizing the centre’s offerings. The ongoing wait is the primary reason for this low rating.

Fantastic experience: Great facility

Fantastic experience: Great centre, the staff is friendly and my daughter loves her coach Andre. She now says to everyone how much she loves tennis and is so proud of practicing and improving. The facilities are also great for parents/guardians to work if needed while watching the classes with tables and wifi.Parking is provided and staff is helpful.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing tennis venue! If you usually play outdoors, once you play on the indoor courts here, you'll never want to play outdoors again . My friend and I have been coming to play here every other month as a bit of a treat and it's absolutely amazing each time! The atmosphere is great and the surface is awesome with great grip. The only small complaint is be prepared to lose the odd ball as it could get lost under some of the stands / storage areas around the courts, despite the curtains they put up. But don't let that deter you! You'll absolutely have a great time and this is also the place to practice drills without the influence of bad weather

Negative experience: On a serious decline, looks money oriented than game. All old and good coaches left, teenagers running the show. Few familiar faces still there, but once they are gone this will collapse.

Negative experience: Came for a tournament which was really badly organised. Games were changed from full ball to four ball. Lights on courts didn't work. Last game cancelled and we weren't told. Travelled from Yorkshire for this tournament and paid for two nights accommodation for one game of tennis. Very poor.

Fantastic experience: This place is great for young kids to learn and burn off some steam. My little one is always happy and enjoyed being here. Staff are friendly and coaches are approachable and always happy to help. Big space which has a lot of court. Weekends are busy from morning till afternoon. During winter time it’s a little bit chilly in the waiting area. They have a heater but never seen them on. The parking area is not enough parking space for everyone as many of them just parked on any available space.

Positive experience: Fantastic centre of tennis excellence, it must be if Emma Raducanu trained here! Purpose built including separate dome, ten courts all indoors in total. Main area has separated viewing gallery, reception selling snacks and hot drinks, toilets and changing facilities. Lovely venue.

Negative experience: Many courts to book and play. Morning classes are very busy on Saturday and difficult to find parking. Its becoming more of money making machine. Instructors keep on changing and there is a less focus on nurturing talent.

Fantastic experience: AMAZING place! They are growing real tennis players. We are taking Tots lessons and after few months of training i can confirm that: 1. Coaches are super professional (we are with Sally). There is always a coach with an assistant for a group of 6-7kids 2. Kids are consistently busy with tasks and always involved 3. Kids are always under coach's care (never running around unoccupied) 4. Every time there is a new interesting lesson topic 5. Lessons run for 45min (long enough to learn smth for kids at this age and not just having fun, which they do too:-) 6. Every session contains new interesting tasks so my little one in never bored 7. The price for these type of lessons is very fair 8. The center is often organizing different type of events and parties for kids. Highly recommended! Thank you guys!

Negative experience: Took my son here for a tournament, shambles would be a better description. One game in 2 hours, little communication - very frustrating. Obvious they signed up too many players (nice earner) but only had one guy poorly attempting to manage everything. My first and last visit to place.

Negative experience: New staff has no clue on how their system works. Being a member of the BTC, i tried to book coaching sessions and Thursday social tennis sessions but I was given different reason every time and couldn't book and play. Waste of membership. Never use to have such problems in past. I was told that they can't see the every Thursday's session in the booking system so can't book, whereas, the session runs every week. On other occasion was not able to book a coaching session while i was there at BTC, stating that system doesn't allow, whereas, i did so many a times in the past. Do had to go back. On other occasion, i wanted to play in a coaching session for advanced session but was told over phone by some random person that I am not a good tennis player for that session, without ever seen myself playing or a coach taking a trial. Having played tennis 2-3 times a week in last 10 years, I sure i deserved at least a trial. Looks like new front line staff at BTC has no idea of tennis as well as no intention of allowing members to use the facilities. Someone needs to look into restoring the BTC culture and help members in using the facilities.
