Fantastic experience: The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and always on hand. The gym has a great selection of equipment, spaciously laid out and in good order. The added bonus here is the quality of air conditioning, ensuring your workout is completed with plenty of fresh, cooled air.

Positive experience: Not a bad price per month for what they offer! My only issue is max dumbbells only goes up to 30kg, 1 power rack, 1 cable cross machine and only a variety of machines for each body part instead of say 2 different types of machines for a body part, but it's not bad for a basic family orientated gym. Edited 18/01/2022 They now have dumbbells going up to 40kg

Negative experience: Used to be ok, nothing special, but good basic facilities & good reception staff. Post-lockdown re-opening makes me weep (literally), especially when other swimming facilities with much more helpful & more elderly-and-disabled-aware staff have gone under. I suspect Neston Brio managed to stay afloat because of our (CWAC tax-payers') subsidy. Phoning is a nightmare, on-line booking system very inflexible. Managed to book via phone on one occasion when I couldn't get an online slot; had to cancel because of a care emergency & wanted to open the slot to anyone waiting. Booked via phone, so couldn't cancel online, but the staff really do need just a trial carer experience to understand how very trying it is hanging on to an unanswered phone with a 'keep holding' message while juggling care. Had to use Messenger in the end, told not to do that again. They seem to have a generally contemptuous attitude towards users , which was brought home in a really distressing episode last week. Professionally-trained management would have tried to address & remedy it (another staff training issue?). Instead, I got the duty manager making up his own version of the DPA Act (and possibly other stuff besides). I struggle to believe that a duty manger doesn't understand his/her legal obligation, so presumably he just blithely assumed I was too thick to have heard of DPA. No wonder poolside staff (not exactly gender-balanced at the moment) appear to be so contemptuous of little old ladies, if the all-authority-no-responsibility approach starts, if not at the top, then half-way down the chain of command. Disappointing & really puts you off paying your Council tax.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere, friendly staff always happy to help. Wide range of activities, classes and swimming pool all in a spacious but not overcrowded and not too noisy environment. During school term I need to use other BRIO venues across Cheshire due to commuting times but, the Neston one is where I always feel like home.

Fantastic experience: I have just read a bad review regarding the service of the staff and I could not disagree more. I live in West Kirby and although the pool is very nice and warm, the lack of organisation of the center makes me wander if I should change. Due to Covid, I starting using Neston pool and, even though it is not as warm and nice as West Kirby's, the center's organisation and proffesionalism of the staff totally make up for it. While in West Kirby they make me feel like they are doing me a favour for letting me in, at Neston they make me feel as valuable customer as David Lloyds used to. The way they have prepared themselves for social distancing is amazing, and even if I did not book the slot correctly, they would go out of their way to still let me use the facilities. Well impressed!
