Positive experience: why is the music so loud….everyone has headphones while working out but the muisic is so loud its being heard through the headphones

Positive experience: Small and I toilet in the mens room but not bad

Fantastic experience: This gym is truly exceptional. Always clean and tidy. The staff members are incredibly friendly and supportive. Throughout my life, I have often felt anxious about going to the gym, experiencing a sense of isolation and uncertainty about what to do. However, the classes here are not only enjoyable, but the community is also welcoming and kind. There is a positive atmosphere where everyone shares a smile. I am genuinely grateful to have discovered this gym.

Positive experience: Small gym. Broken equipment eg punch bag takes over 3 weeks to get fixed

Negative experience: They removed the equipments to wipe down machines/benches after or before using them. These are not Covid equipments these are basic hygiene products that needs to be in the gym so we can wipe down before/after using the machines. No one is using a towel and equipments are all sweaty, administration should reconsider this as I don’t think that the cost of some towels and detergent stations are that high. If you want to reduce the waste from using the blue rolls, you can find a more environmentally friendly solution or alternative, I am considering stopping my membership or bringing my own cleaning supplies as sitting after someone on a sweaty bench especially during high peak hours is not okay

Fantastic experience: Great gym to use whilst I was in the area

Fantastic experience: Steven at Gym Group was brilliant. Attended a flex stretch class which helped me discover new stretches to target my hamstrings. Steven also helped me with a PT taster session which introduced me to strength training.

Positive experience: Seem to have just randomly stopped supplying blue roll so you can't wipe down any equipment. Don't know if it's some sort of cost saving effort but totally ridiculous.

Positive experience: Can be a waste of time coming when its slightly busy. Not enough equipment and too many large groups of people talking around the equipment that is there. A 30 min session could easily be 30 mins waiting for a turn on the cable cross over

Negative experience: Good Gym with lots of equipment, the only downside is there are no windows. The reason for 2 stars is related to how they treat members. Extremely bad customer service.

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. It's quite compact but incredibly well equipped and has lots of machines and gear. It's clean, tidy and the music tends to be good. Plus, their trainers are great, especially Andy, who always encourages you to keep going and has great fitness tips. They also have a wide variety of classes, although I've not attended any (yet). I'm so glad we finally have a decent gym in Corstorphine.

Positive experience: Good value for your money. It has everything you need and they offer free classes too. It could do with another leg extension machine. It has only one, and sometimes you stay for an hour and can't use it due to the long wait. The app works quite well except for the entry and exit functions.

Fantastic experience: Always clean and well maintained, huge variety of equipment with plenty of room for everyone, but the biggest draw is the staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, knowledgable, helpful and approachable. I love taking classes and always leave feeling great.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a really good experience at this gym. I actually came back to this gym after changing to another one for a while because I missed it. I think it’s got a great selection of equipment, it’s very spacious and the gym never feels too cramped or busy, there’s always a member of staff free to help whenever I’ve been in. I also like the fact that it’s open 24/7 and the app lets you see how many people are in so you know when it’s maybe a bit too busy. I think the changing rooms are fine, and it’s nice that there’s shower facilities if I want to use them. Overall great gym, I doubt I’ll change anytime soon.

Fantastic experience: At this gym, classes are consistently top-notch, thanks to knowledgeable instructors who keep things well-organized. The facility maintains a high standard of cleanliness, and I rarely encounter any difficulty accessing equipment, even during the busiest times. Overall, it's an excellent place to work out.

Positive experience: Gym is good value, clean and has everything you need. It can be a little frustrating when you need to use the flat workout area and a class is on, so you need to squeeze into a space somewhere else. The staff are friendly, especially Andy Kerr. I have had a few PT session with Andy and he is brilliant, sessions are alway different and well varied. He is super patient when you are building up confidence and he is very motivational.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to The Gym group Corstorphine since it opened and I can say nothing negative about the gym. It’s always clean, tidy and the equipment is well maintained. The staff are friendly, approachable and always ready to help if needed. I also have Steve as my PT and he’s brilliant. He has encouraged me to achieve results in the gym I never thought I’d hit. Definitely a great gym to be a member of

Classes are great way to learn how to use the equipment or to pick up new techniques. Or stretch yourself further with personal training. Been a member since the gym opened and never looked back. Fantastic experience: They have weights benches that work for shorter people not jus folk who are 6 foot. They've got a really clever squat rack/ deadlift area combo that means at least 6 people can be using it at the same time.

Fantastic experience: Here for a couple of days and bought daily pass, the gym is well located, very clean and spacious, loads of machines and free weight, highly recommended.

Negative experience: I’ve been at this gym since the first day it’s opened. I thought it was great and really convenient - until today. More and more frequently there’s been chaos in the tiny changing rooms especially with the high school children messing around in there. Someone’s dropped nails onto the changing room floor of the mens changing rooms, and they’ve blended in with the floor. How did I find out? Well as I was changing, one so happened to go right through the heel of my foot. Absolutely ridiculous, I collected them all up and went looking for a staff member and unsurprisingly nobody was around at all to even look into it. I don’t recommend this gym, it’s the cheapest in Edinburgh and the service it provides is poor - I’m not going to be surprised if I hear someone eventually ends up suing this gym for sheer negligence.

Positive experience: The environment is super good. It's never crowded, which I love, and people there seem to go just knowing what they're doing. The equipment is good, and the staff is kind as well.

Fantastic experience: Such a good, inclusive, clean gym with lots of new equipment, especially squat racks. Could use another leg extension, lat pulldown and maybe a seated ham curl but still an amazing amount of equipment. Always feel comfortable in this gym with the variety of people that attend and the staff are excellently friendly and helpful! Definitely would recommend this over any other gym for the equipment and it doesn't get busy to the point you can't get on anything.

Negative experience: Spent £6 on a daypass to Corstorphine. Waste of money. Multiple keypad entry points. None of them working. Pressed the "help" buzzer. Had to wait for 10 mins for staff member to answer it. He eventually just stuck his head round the door, evidently grumpy about the inconvenience, advising that I was interrupting him helping someone on the gymfloor. He reluctantly came over to the entrance and he couldn't get my code to work either. Apparently it's my fault for not signing up further in advance (I signed up earlier today). He huffily told me just to come in anyway and he would "sort it out inside" as if he was doing me a huge favour. I declined this grudging offer. I have a number of health issues and it took me a lot of courage to sign up for this and attend today. I could not have felt more unwelcome and, in fact, unsafe. It's clear you won't get help in the event of an emergency if the single person on duty is "busy" with someone else. I phoned customer services - surprise, surprise, it's 5.30pm and they are closed.

Fantastic experience: Small gym with a big personality. All equipment works and are clean. The bathroom is in a good condition. The gym classes are brilliant with great instructors. One of the best Gym Group gyms I have been too.

Positive experience: Really enjoying my experience with The Gym group so far. The gym is very well equipped, very spacious and the staff are extremely helpful. I haven't waited to use a single piece of equipment at the times that I train and can do almost all my workouts with the equipment on hand. The only gripe that I have is that the boxing bag is hung in an awkward place and too low but I have requested it to be moved to make it more accessible.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, plenty machines to choose from, even when busy. Staff are always helpful and on hand if there is an issue ohelp is needed. The gym is always hygienic being cleaned regularly. The only minor thing is the small changing area but really this is just picking bones. All in all excellent.

PT sessions have been a game changer and after a long time away from the gym, it's been a great experience getting back into the swing and I feel so much better generally. Would definitely recommend this gym, brilliant value.

If you want value for money you can never beat the gym group, everything you need kit wise with a great variety classes on the schedule. Hitting the bag today and a member of the friendly staff they have at the gym group costorphine offered to take me for a round on the pads to help with my work out and it was much appreciated. If your at the beginning of your fitness journey and in the area this is the place for you, and if your an experienced gym goer looking for good kit at a fair price this is also the place for you. Thanks to all the staff for keeping the place held to such a high standard.
