Solent Sports Complex

Negative experience: The opening hours of this gym are honestly ridiculous. Closing way to early and opening way too late. Closing way to early and not open till 9:30 in the Morning??? Are you joking?? Then being closed on a Saturday by 8:30??? The worst offender being not open on a Sunday. Whoever designed these opening hours has never used a gym in their life!! Would not reccomend.

Fantastic experience: I am going to this gym since November 2023. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good well maintained equipments, large amount of dumbbell pairs weighing from 2.5Kg to 50Kg. Loved this place! 5 Stars!

Positive experience: Very good modern place. We watch the basketball there and it's a very nice arena with money obviously being spent on it. Love going there

Fantastic experience: Rig Circuit and Abs classes are back up! Really good quality equipment and coaching. You'll need the app to book classes, or go directly in to join up. This place is severely overlooked, this is a great gym hidden right by Jury's Inn!

Negative experience: Please wake up and put the correct hours that you are open. You confuse the people writing that you are open Sunday,but you are close! Also your equipment is the minimum possible. The opening hours very limited. I need to say more ?

Negative experience: Solent Sport Complex does not cater for all students at this moment in time in comparison to rival universities in the South. In particular, it only seems interested in the development of professional student teams without paying too much attention to establishing recreational clubs and volunteer roles in comparison to Portsmouth University for example. So if you as a student fail to get into any of the teams you are just chucked at the wayside not ever feeling you are apart of Solent Sport. For that to change the Professional clubs there need to establish recreational teams to compete locally in competitions. Or Solent Sport need to establish these clubs themselves. That along with giving equal recognition to the coaches and players that help keep them going. Having more links to the student union will suffice as well. I hope I'm around in the city to see large groups of students benefit from it.

Negative experience: Looks great but Terrible opening hours like the Solent university library. Not open on weekends nor after four on Wednesday, why bother paying for it.
