Fantastic experience: I used to go to the gaf gym.its the only gym I'd ever use.grate place to go to.

Negative experience: First of all there is no disabled access. Only enterance is at the back where the Chinese takeaway keep their bins. Absolutely no parking. There is a locked door which can only be opened by someone from inside. Seemed a bit strange on first impressions. Nether the less I continued and as the door opened i was greeted by a very angry man who asked me lots of questions like do I live local? Do I know some people. I was on holiday from Hatfield with my partner Edward for 10 days and Edward really likes the gym so we stopped briefly while on our way into town. After we seemed to past the tests we stepped through a small door into what can only be described as the basement, it smelt like raw sewage. Turns out the back of the Chinese kitchen goes into the boxing ring area, it's not a full sized ring tho. So after climbing the many stairs which felt like an eternity we get the third floor and it's very blinding with the colour of green everywhere. The next thing I noticed was the smell. Not a pleasant one I must say. The owner andy seemed very on edge which made us very uncomfortable so we had a quick look around the equipment which was very dirty and old. Not seen machines like that for a long time. I did ask to use the toilet while I was there and that when it got worse. The toilets stank like the drains were blocked and in the bin was used needles and syringes with alcohol wipes with blood on. That was my que to get out of there. We soon left and I can say we won't be going back again. Barry and Edward.

Fantastic experience: Love the Gaf, old school style Gym, what you see is what you get. Most importantly for me it does not make you feel intimidated when you arrive there and the staff are welcoming. Andy and Sam are extremely helpful and understanding whatever level you are, they always push you that little bit more

Fantastic experience: Anyone wanting to train hard for boxing or BKB should go to this Gym. Andrew Luke is top bloke. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and being part of the GAF Spartan fight team.

Fantastic experience: 1st and only gym iv ever been too and safe to say I love it, iv been going nearly 3 years now. The staff and the clients r lovely. I started this gym not knowin anyone there, now iv gained friends for life including my pt shes great and love her to bits, The owner is awesome, hes like marmite u either love him or hate him there no inbetween #TEAMGAF #OLDSKOOL

All the staff were really friendly and welcoming and I also ended up doing a PT session with Andy the owner, who really knows his stuff and will go out of his way to help you out. Just wish I lived nearby now so I could train here more often! Highly recommended gym, many thanks.

Fantastic experience: Wicked old style gym with great equipment and great atmosphere & great equipment! Get some serious training done thanks to the PT on site and had great results! Been training ever since it was open and wouldn't change to any other gym! Great value for money! If you want to get fit and change your life style I advice you to come!
