Fantastic experience: What an awesome training facility! Old kit, which I like anyway, but even if that's not a thing for you, all the essentials are here, along with some kit you don't find everywhere. And that's just the resistance area, there's also a big fight mat (you don't have to fight on it), a great bag set-up, a ring and more! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, brilliant atmosphere with a great clientele. Highly recommended! No heating, so if you're going in winter make sure you wear enough and get warm before you start. The cold is a great motivator to keep moving, which is reflective of the hardcore attitude that prevails, but don't let this make you think it's cold in any other way. The people are sound. Newly matted and equipped upstairs area is lush. Still the best gym in the world.

Fantastic experience: Great community gym, warriors and legends can be met. Positively serious, great atmosphere for a hardworking session. Personal trainers are available for those who require one. Boxing ring and sessions. Old school style, motivating music, pleasant and helpful staff. Quiet location, not too many people, all regulars, trustworthy and safe.

Fantastic experience: My mate took me here at the weekend. Massive gym with everything you could ever need. No waiting around you can get straight on anything. Massive weight stacks for the bigger guys to. Good boxing equipment and cardio… 10/10 gym.

Fantastic experience: Proper power lifting type muscle gym this, it's really cool, massive warehouse with loads of gear and plenty of space. Boxing ring, lots of heavy bags etc. They host white collar boxing training here.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend this gym for women, went today and was greeted with unwelcoming comments. The man at the desk came across as patronising, insinuating I didn’t know what I was doing (I am a fully qualified personal trainer). Whilst I was working out, I was informed I could not use an area that was completely free of people because it was the ‘weights’ area, even though I was using weights and he interrupted my workout by moving a bench in front of me, for what appeared to be for no reason what’s so ever. Overall felt like I was being judged and I would not want to go again.

Fantastic experience: Stayed in leicester for a month for business, so chose this gym, and glad I did. Has a great old school feel, and the definition of what a real gym should be. The owner is a wonderful guy, full of positivity, he will look after you great. He will make you feel at home, and motivate you. Theres a lot of mutual respect and much of this is because of how the owner treats his customers, the people that work out here treat the gym as their home and naturally put their weights away and avoid littering and keep hygiene high. Will definetly recommend to all friends/family and will be back here if im due back around the area

Staff are always extremely friendly, and considering its a tough looking gym the fellow gym members are also very friendly and put THEIR WEIGHT BACK.

Fantastic experience: After using the Iron Works gym in Essex, really wanted to find a gym that was on a par. Muscle Machine is! The staff are friendly and happy to help with a smile. The machines do their job and there are plenty, many gyms in leicester don't have the machines and boxing area but, this gym does. As a woman, I feel comfortable. This is a "no messing" gym.

Fantastic experience: Ramsy the local legend runs this gym like an old clock. They are always extremely polite and willing to help with any issues and the gym itself has the perfect atmosphere for training. Just weights or fight training it's all there and I've not to date met someone that's a dick 10/10

Fantastic experience: Fantastic Gym! Been going here pretty much since it opened! Great old school proper gym equipment, free weights and machines that leave you feeling like you've had a proper workout! Atmosphere is great and everybody is really friendly!

Fantastic experience: It's the best hardcore lifting gym in Leicester. No nonsense, old school approach. Very clean. There are rules, they get enforced, everyone is equal and happy. Highly recommended for serious lifters. More for bodybuilding, but powerlifters will feel at home too. No bumper plates.

Fantastic experience: This gym is great. Being a rather large lady I was a little worried that I would be stared at and feel a little self conscious, I could not have been more wrong. Staff and members were very helpful and gave me great advise. Really friendly gym to suit all types of people.

Negative experience: All these people commenting must be his friends! Gym is freezing equipment about 30 years old! Better gyms out there! Plus he got photos of himself all round his gym, guy oviously loves himself more than the fitness bussiness. Self greed people always unhappy Go wearhouse. Plus they have kickboxing bags that you cannot kick? I advise getting new bags. If they can afford it.

So pleased I got the pleasure of working out at Muscle Machine - big up to the owners too, amazing people I will definitely come back every once in a while!

Fantastic experience: one of best gyms I've ever been too. I had some time to kill so I did some googling on what Leicester had to offer. Muscle machine gym blew me away, the functional equipment, the atmosphere, the grit and strength this gym represent is unbelievable. Such an amazing vibe. I visited Saturday afternoon and it was the best £5 I ever spent. I can't wait to go back to Leicester.
