Negative experience: Signed up as I was in the area for a month for work. The guy in the gym told me to get the rolling contract as it was more expensive but had no strings attached so I could just sing up for a month. When I didn’t renew I got a call from Energie saying they would rather I stay or rejoin at a later date, I explained I couldn’t as I wouldn’t be around so they began asking for a contract exit fee. I explained I paid for the more expensive option to have no exit fee and the lady seemed annoyed and wanted me to come in to discuss. Just now I see they’ve tried using my bank details, without my authority, to try and set up the direct debit again. If I happen to be back in the area for work I certainly won’t be using them!
Positive experience: Not my fave gym. Personal trainers I think run the place and need a lesson in appropriate discussions in the gym
Fantastic experience: My friend and I were looking for a gym that would suit us. We are new to the gym and this is our first gym experience. We have visited other gyms before to see what they were like and learn more. Unfortunately at other gyms we were not welcomed and the people working there acted like they were talking to us out of necessity, glancing at their watches every now and then as if to let us know they didn't want to talk. When we came to Energie Fitness we immediately felt different, there was a nice atmosphere, the guy who spoke to us was nice and explained everything to us and then when we bought a membership they signed us up to show us how to use the equipment. We have been here for 5 days and have been training for 4 days and we are still very happy. This gym has definitely made a huge impression on us and we are happy we decided to go because comfort is important to us, especially since we were very stressed on the first day.

Positive experience: The gym has great equipment for weight lifting and a downstairs area with a bit of every cardio you could need. Unfortunately let down by the other members, total lack of etiquette, awareness and have even had people be outright aggressive because I’m on a machine they want or they just want to start a fight over nothing

Fantastic experience: I am down visiting family in the area and I was looking for a place to train whilst here. I found Energie Fitness online and rang to see if I could get a day pass and use the facilities. James answered the phone and was really friendly and helpful, he advised me to go during the manned hours and someone would get me sorted. I went along and met Mia who was so welcoming she made me feel like I had trained there for years. She got me set up really quickly and i was given an induction and tour of the gym which explained everything i needed to know. The facilities were great. Big car park. Equipment was really good and well maintained. Other gym goers were really respectful of each other and fantastic gym etiquette (putting plates away etc) which is always a the sign of a great gym with a great culture. Whether you are visiting like me or live in the area, you should definitely give Energie Fitness a go.

Fantastic experience: Nice gym 24hrs. Good price and lots of equipment. Everything's kept really clean and you have access to some small hand towels to clean the equipment down which makes it easier and better for the environment.

Negative experience: Black mould all over the wall at the back of the weights area. Not very impressed. The toxins are very harmful. Otherwise not a bad place to work out, a reasonable selection of equipment.
Fantastic experience: Started the gym a couple days ago and 100% the best gym I’ve ever been to by far (this includes 4 other gyms)!!

The team check the changing rooms every couple of hours as a minimum and we pride ourselves on keeping them tidy. Unfortunately things can happen between checks and we encourage members to raise anything like this with the staff and we will always get it sorted for you ASAP. Fantastic experience: A really great gym! We transferred from Arun leisure centre to here as energie is open 24/7. Energie is a really clean and tidy gym. Much nicer than Arun gym. Great equipment too! Staff seem really friendly. We have only been going since Jan and already loving it. They have classes too. Price is very good for what you get! Parking too

Fantastic experience: Joined the gym in June 2020 and i must say i have been enjoying this. Classes are absolutely amazing and the gym itself is wonderful . Staff members are all lovely and extremely helpful. I have nothing negative to say about the gym as i am enjoying it so far.

Fantastic experience: I asked for tape cause my band aid was coming off and the lady at the front cared enough to ask me why i needed the tape and instead gave me a band aid. Very nice place always clean staff always smiling

Negative experience: Do not recommend this gym! Hasn't use them service for 2 months and decided cancel my membership which I did. One month later they contacted me and tried charge me for one more month. Of course I explained that I didn't use gym for 2 months and did cancel my membership month ago on what they replied ok no problem. Day later I received email fom debt collector company that I have to pay double amount now.
Hi Raimonds, thanks for taking the time to leave a review, however there are a several inconsistencies and discrepancies in what you have said that we would be happy to clear up as we have double checked your membership, as there seem to be no parts of your review that are correct. Having checked your membership we can see that you have in fact visited the gym several times in the last month alone, and throughout the membership so we are unsure why you are saying you haven’t been into the club in over two months. We can also see that you cancelled your membership correctly approximately a week before you wrote this review, and again we are unsure why you are saying this was over a month ago, at which point you were informed of when the last payment would be (as per the one month rolling membership you chose and agreed to when joining) and when the membership would end. Several days later you then cancelled your direct debit which therefore wouldn’t allow the final payment. We can also see that the club spoke to you by phone the day before you wrote this review (so again we are unsure where you are getting the timeline that you have highlighted from) to try and get this all sorted out for you, but you said you didn’t want to honour your membership and that was that as far as you were concerned. We would also like to clear up that at this time you have NOT been contacted by a debt collection company as you have suggested, you would have been contacted by Harlands (the direct debit collection company for much of the UK leisure industry) who, as per the terms and conditions, would add their own admin charge for any missed or cancelled direct debits. In cases like this the aim of the club calling is always to help our members and ensure any additional charges like this are waived (we are always happy to speak to Harlands on behalf of the member to have them remove any associated charges if all is dealt with in club) which is what we said on the phone but you wouldn’t allow us to help. We are still happy to help get this all sorted for you as we have said so please feel free to get in touch. Another reason this is a disappointing review to read is we can also see the club has consistently gone above and beyond, freezing your membership at no charge due to an injury even though this is not included in the membership option you chose, checking in, and touching base when we can, so it is very disappointing when the club has always honoured the service they provide, but the member is not prepared to honour their membership and see’s that as a reason to leave negative feedback. We wish you all the best in your fitness journey and hope you find another gym that will suit your needs better.
Fantastic experience: Just rejoined energie fitness after 2 years. Absolutely love it there. Its spotlessly clean .the staff are always helpful. Plenty of parking. And its open 24/7.

Fantastic experience: Came in for a taster session. And all I can say is I was pleasantly surprised with how I found the whole experience, equipment was fantastic with a lot of cybex stuff which is nice to see . Unlike the cheap stuff that I am used to at pure gym, great to see staff who actually care and don’t act like Robots. Felt comfortable as soon as I stepped in the place. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Very clean place. Unitimidating and I like how they separate the gym on the 2 floors. Cardio and machine downstairs and free weight upstairs. Friendly staff too. Jordan signed me up and then remembered my name a few months later when I needed a replacement fob. And I'm a quiet dude but he even got me talking a little a few times.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I've had to edit my review from 5* to 1 * and here is why - I've been a member since the day thet opened but I've not been able to go to the gym for the last year or so for various reasons but I kept paying my membership as I hoped to get back. This month my payment bounced as I didn't have enough money in my account. I didn't realise this had happened but I got a call and paid it over the phone. This did not bother me but promted me to think about my membership so I canceled online. To my surprise after canceling on 15th September I was told I was would have to pay yet another months membership and I would be released on 11th November. I then got an email saying I would be charged another £20 for the returned payment.This is just another money grabbing gym that will say "it's In ThE TeRMs AnD CoNdiTiONS". That doesn't make it right or fair. I was fully intending to rejoin the gym when I was ready but I will never again now after being a member for three and a half years.
Hi Sam, it's a huge shame to see you have decided to change your review from 5 to 1 star. Based on the dates etc in your review we believe we have found your membership however there seems to be a misunderstanding. We can confirm there are no admin charges associated with your membership, and there is nothing owing at all on the membership. Admin charges such as the one mentioned would be from Harlands (the DD collection company used for the majority of the UK leisure industry) due to a failed or cancelled DD, however, as in this case, the club will always try to contact the member directly to ensure we can have Harlands remove their fees in these circumstances, as was done here, so we can assure you there is no additional admin charge. We can also see that there are no further payment to make on the membership and it is due to expire on the 11th October so there are no further direct debits. Apologies if there has been a misunderstanding, we have tried to call to run through all of these details, but should you have any questions please feel free to contact us directly at the club on 01243 940065 and hopefully it is all resolved for you. Fantastic experience: A small but very friendly little gym. Good variety of classes and all the essential training equipment. So glad to be back following lockdown. Lots safety procedures in place so staff and customers can train safely. Love it here

Fantastic experience: Fresh and modern gym with a really friendly vibe. The owners are both knowledgable and hands on happy to help with any questions along with the staff. There’s plenty of parking now too! The gym itself has a good amount of space, with thorough lengths gone to with providing screens, sanitising stations and making sure we are safe and kept safe. There’s a great range of classes, an extensive range of new equipment (my new fave being the Hiit Mill). All round 100% recommended!!

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. The staff are super friendly. They welcome you like friends. The equipment is great, air con is spot on and so is the music. I’ve asked staff for some good exercises to target certain areas and they have been so helpful. My only negative which they can’t help is the parking.

The equipment choice is vast and easy to use. The changing/showering areas are always pristinely clean. All in all the best gym I’ve ever used!

Fantastic experience: Great gym. State of the art equipment and facilities. Customer care is paramount and concerns are dealt with quickly. This gym has a real friendly feel about it and is a pleasure to work out in.

Fantastic experience: Great place to go,staff are all polite welcoming and helpful. Whole gym is always spotlessly clean, including the showers and bathrooms. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Fab new gym with pretty much everything you could ever need to get in shape and have fun doing it! It's basically a kids play room...but for adults! All the staff here are super friendly and it has a really cool vibe. 100% recommended!

Positive experience: Nice gym ,found music way too loud last few times though .I don't like modern dance 'music' . will bring earplugs.must be getting old!

We have taken on your feedback and have passed this to all the staff to ensure the music is not too loud and is there simply for background music. Should you ever feel it is too loud again please let our manager know and we will happily turn it down for you :-)

Fantastic experience: I've joined the gym from day one when they opened. The staff are all friendly, welcoming and happy to help. The gym is always clean and tidy. Since joining I've made a few friends as well. I've been to different gyms in the past years, and I can honestly say this is far best the best one. I'm so glad I've joined this gym. If anyone wants to join, I highly recommend Energie fitness

Fantastic experience: I've been attending the gym since it first opened- I tend to go Monday-Friday and do most of the early morning classes. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and super helpful! Lovely atmosphere too! Would highly recommend x

Fantastic experience: Lovely, spacious clean gym. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with a friendly team member and as you walk through the gym there is always a lovely positive vibe. I usually go during the day and never find that I’m waiting for a piece of equipment. All the staff couldn’t do more for you and are super approachable. Best gym in Bognor in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: Joined the gym after chatting with Mia. Not sure if I was doing the right thing as at 53 my best days (my thinner fitter days) are behind me. But a month in I'm still going. I adore the cardio machines. Who knew walking round a lake would not only help with my fitness but also clear my mind. The support from all the staff has been amazing. The gym is spotless. The classes top drawer. You could have a hundred reasons not to try it for yourself, but give it a go you may enjoy it. I do and feel better for it. Great people great kit, a great gym.

Positive experience: I joined from day 1 of opening. The gym is very modern welcoming and friendly. All the P.Ts are very helpful. This is the only gym I'm enjoying. Highly recommend this gym for all ages shapes and sizes. The zumba classes are such fun and I'm totally addicted to it. Lots more classes to try yet.️♀️

Fantastic experience: I've only been a member for just under a week and just love it...!! I had a health issue last year and coming back to excersise has been a struggle and hard, but, the atmosphere, lovely staff, equipment and music are all just fantastic....!!! I'd recommend it to anyone who was thinking of joining a gym..... After only a couple of days they gave me a curtesy call and the staff are ongoing in checking that you are happy with everything.... I've been a member at many gyms , but these guys really care and look out for your best interests to achieve your ultimate goals.... Really can't rate the experience highly enough... Well done....☺️ Just love it...
