Fantastic experience: Needed a gym where I felt comfortable and this is certainly it.

Fantastic experience: Love coming here at night, great gym overall, only downside is we now can’t play our own music, which to be fair I understand why it’s just a bit annoying since I don’t have headphones

Fantastic experience: Really great fitness centre! Excellent rage of equipment and really friendly staff. They’re knowledgeable and happy to help. I’m not a member as I live up north but will definitely use again on my next visit. Highly recommend. :)

Fantastic experience: Fantastic gym! Machines to cover every type of workout you are after, along with very helpful staff who take their time with you to maximise your workout. I personally haven’t done the classes, but they always seem busy with a wide age group attending. The gym is designed for everyone and everyone is made welcome ☺️

Positive experience: Just joined as wanted have value of gym use, classes and mostly use of local pool in area.it is a not a flash gym for sure equipment seem ok so far. However I am a bit concerned about lack facilities in changing area. First they are not signs on doors to determine which is male and female. In the shower room which appears to be a shared facility? There are bit on the floor looks like old towel rails not yet fitter. No where to put outdoor clothes like your coat no lockers to put valuables so having carry everything around with me as I workout. Also the bikes in studio area are in fact blocking a fire exit. I understand that Oliver Joseph has moved to the location quite recent so I hoping that perhaps this things will improve. Not sure if notice a water station? The staff seem friendly.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym! Great choices of classes with lots of fun and brilliant instructors! Currently doing PT with Jem – highly recommend! Very supportive and always up for a laugh! 24 hour access is ideal too! :)

Fantastic experience: I've been a gym and swim member for two years. Although I mainly focus on my swimming, I very much enjoy visiting the gym, which always has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere (as an older person it's nice to find a gym where all ages and abilities seem equally welcome, without any judgement). The facilities and equipment at the new site have taken OJ Axminster to a whole other level. Highly recommend for anyone considering joining a gym.

Fantastic experience: It’s always been a great gym but it’s even better now they’ve moved. Plenty of parking and it’s really bright and airy. There’s an excellent choice of cardio and weight machines and most of all it’s really friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Negative experience: What started off meeting a lovely friend lady at the reception soon turned into a visit to one of the worst gyms i've seen in a good while. ++ some really fantastic leg equipment -- handles are frayed and broken -- benches are warped and not fit for purpose, holes in the material etc -- smith machine is extremely unstable and wobbly -- weights and plates with stacks of rust on them -- I am all for functionality over look but the whole place feels like no love is being put into it and to make up for it the whole place has just been coated in vanta black, which now has giant chunks missing and holes in it now anyway

Fantastic experience: Everything you want from your local gym, friendly staff, variety of equipment and 24 hour access, can nip in and train whenever I want. Currently doing PT aswell there and can’t complain with the structured set up they have given me and already starting to see some results

Fantastic experience: Oliver Joseph has been a bit of a life line for me, I am a PTSD sufferer and before joining in Axminster I never barely left the house it has literally changed my life for the better, the staff are very welcoming, I love the classes which I attend regular, and also have regular weekly PT sessions with Ash who finds my ability but pushes me that bit further, which is what I need. Gemma has equally done wonders for my confidence and I am doing things out of my comfort zone that I would never had dreamed of trying. Gemma and Ash are a credit to the facility friendly encouraging and becoming a member is definatly the best decision I made.

Fantastic experience: I started going to the Oliver Joseph 5 months ago, I had never stepped foot in a gym and it was massively out of my comfort zone. I wasn’t a big lad but had led a fairly unhealthy lifestyle. Now 5 months on after the guidance from Orrin I have made huge progress in losing weight and also gaining muscle. The gym has everything you need cardio machines, squat rack, free weights plenty for beginners or regular gym users. I have been PT’d by Orrin once a week, he has taught me how to use the equipment safely but has also pushed me every week to get great results. He is a great trainer and communicator and is a credit to OJ Axminster.

Fantastic experience: When I was down in Axminster on a visit to the area, I popped into the gym which is a great funky gym with loads of variety of equipment and greeted by Ash. He was very welcoming and took great care making sure that I knew how to use the equipment. When I’m next in Axminster I’m definitely going pop in again for my workouts

Fantastic experience: Fantastic, no nonsense gym. I can pop in any time and do my workout. Plenty of kit and great atmosphere. Lots of friendly people around if you fancy a chat or space to put your headphones on and do your own thing. It's worth it just for Brian Thompson's boxing class.

Fantastic experience: Friendliest gym! I’ve never been a ‘gym goer’ but at the beginning of the year (3 months after having my second child) I was determined to get into shape. I had heard good things about the Oliver Joseph gym but was still unsure until I walked in to have a look around. I was greeted by really friendly staff and instantly felt comfortable. I now attend quite a few classes and they are fantastic! I always leave feeling so good. The staff are super helpful and really motivational! Couldn’t speak any more highly ☺️ 100% recommend to anybody who wants to join! You won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this gym. Everyone is so friendly, all the staff and all of the other gym users. The classes are always small and friendly and encourage you to push yourself. The 24hr system is great, it allows you to use the gym out of hours when it's quieter and the staff are always contactable. For anyone sitting in the fence, just join - you won't regret it!

Fantastic experience: Love this gym so much. The people are amazing. The staff are SOOOOO nice and I just love coming here. It's got character and atmosphere without being intimidating and people are encouraged to be themselves unapologetically. Anyone who loves to look at themselves or wants people to look at them or think they're some alpha male or female soon realise noone cares which makes the atmosphere about everyone acheieving their own goals, and supporting eachtother. This is the best gym in Axminster and surrounding area by far!

Fantastic experience: After having a couple of years off from lifting weights, I ventured into this establishment and was really impressed by the array of equipment they offer. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable; they are always ready to help. As a bonus, the price is reasonable. This is a fantastic gym and I am looking forward to many more workouts in the future.
