Friskis&Svettis is a not for profit association which started in Stockholm in 1978. The aim was to get people exercising - not just once, but for the rest of their lives. One person attended the first class, now it is the biggest sports association in Sweden with over 500,000 members and has extended to Europe too. The secret? If you want to exercise your whole life, it must be fun. The Aberdeen Friskis association is the only one in Scotland. An important part of Friskis’ philosophy is to make exercise accessible. Our classes are all low cost, drop in and pay as you go – no need for block booking. Within each class all the moves are easy to follow – and if you can’t quite get it at first - it doesn’t matter – just keep moving.
