Fantastic experience: I started working with David two years ago. When I first contacted him I was in a pretty low place mentally and physically, and really needed a trainer that would ease me back into exercise at a good pace, that wouldn't result in injuries or a relapse into a previous eating disorder. In the past, I have had a very "all or nothing" relationship with exercise and food/dieting, and I wanted to break that cycle. David was really patient but also knew when to push me and step things up a gear. He was also incredibly supportive emotionally when I had wobbles or felt uncomfortable with things, such as weighing/measuring myself, people's reactions to my weightloss or encouraging me to try new things that would support my long terms goals. He also really helped me develop goals and a mindset that didn't focus on weight, but more on being healthy and active to live a longer and happy life. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend David to anyone looking for a personal trainer that really supports his clients in every aspect.
Fantastic experience: I wanted to start strength training following a shoulder operation in January 23. I contacted David in July-23 and have been working with him from a small gym at my home for the past 9-10 months. David is very knowledgeable and guided me through bringing my weak shoulder back to strength and to par with the other one, definitely not something I couldn't have achieved on my own. I am much fitter and stronger now and David has been very motivational through the whole process delivered with great sense of humour, despite the 6:30 am start for the both of us :) David is a lovely guy and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to get fit and healthy.

Fantastic experience: David's professional and tailored approach sets him apart from other PTs who lack imagination and use the typical exercises we all hate. David listens to his clients and ensures there is plenty of variety every week which keeps things interesting. He is also very good at keeping you distracted throughout the exercises so time flies! Would highly recommend David if you are lucky enough to get a slot with him.

Fantastic experience: I train twice a week with David, combining his work with spinning, reformer Pilates and walking. I’ve always exercised independently so using a PT was new to me. David has explained and shown me the benefits of building a strong body - I now understand the importance of this for women but also generally. Historically, I’d focused much more on cardio fitness. I can no longer run due to a degenerative disc injury from horse riding so had suffered with mild lower back pain. David has guided me through building strength to support this area. I can now use weights confidently and correctly. I no longer have any back pain and have seen a noticeable improvement in my posture, strength and general conditioning. Our sessions are varied. He’s easy company - not fazed by my request to work on my pelvic floor post kids and my constant chat. We have fun whilst working hard. I have and will continue to recommend him to others.

Fantastic experience: David is an exceptional personal trainer. Very caring, very honest and able to push just the right buttons for me to get the most out of every workout. Each session is tailored for me to work on the areas I need to work on and allow me to build on the previous workout. He offers solid advice and input to areas that will support my goals, from nutrition to between session workouts and alternative exercises that I can introduce to my routine. His knowledge and passion for helping can't be beat, and he always makes himself available to answer questions and support me. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: David has been great at getting me more active and comfortable with exercise. I have been working with him for close to a year now and I have come on leaps and bounds compared to my first session. He is really engaging and makes me understand each exercise and the reason for it really well. Would recommend David to anyone thinking of getting a personal trainer!

Fantastic experience: I have been working with David for about 18 months. I had stopped working and realised the toll that too many years of commuting and long office based hours had taken. This wasn't sensible! It was years since I'd had any regular form of exercise so was keen for a one on one approach in my own home. Working with David has been enjoyable and rewarding: he constantly encourages me to work to my potential, rather than to my low expectations, and he keeps the programme varied and interesting, and will work with whatever 'equipment' is available. He checks in regularly and has arranged programmes for when I'm on holidays. Over the 18 months we have trained both indoors and outdoors – weather depending, and during Covid experimented successfully with video training sessions. My overall goals were fitness based, and I've noticed a real change over the period. My strength, balance, coordination and endurance have improved significantly and I feel so much healthier! Fantastic experience: Well , the words and the rating are not enough to share & express my opinion & feed about mr David , He is such a great teacher , trainer and a human being. Fantastic experience: David has created a bespoke regime that takes account of my age and physical needs, including flexibility and muscle strength. I have been doing these exercises for a couple of months now and already beginning to see the real positive effects of spending 30/40mins each day. Very happy.

Fantastic experience: Looking for a personal trainer, David stood out because of the “future health” name and approach which was more important to me than muscle gain or weight loss. In May 2019 I traded the gym for a beautiful park with a view over the Thames - working out with David in the open air is a real stress-buster. David brings skilful variety to our sessions based on impressive knowledge of physical training techniques and physiology. It’s hard work but hugely enjoyable (and at 50 it’s age-appropriate...). 6 months later I’ve lost weight, changed shape and feel fantastic!

Fantastic experience: It is a real pleasure to be trained by David. It was quickly obvious to me the depth of his knowledge on his field is excellent, and he is quick to adapt training programs to the progress made or new goals set. My ability to do the strengthening and flexibility exercises that martial arts training demands has improved dramatically since working with him and I continue to see improvement. He is always on time and always delivers a professional and effective training session whatever the weather. He is quick to respond to messages outside of sessions. On top of this David's gentle, quiet and humble nature is a bonus for anyone who finds the stereotypical gym or boot camp trainer to be intimidating or exhausting.

Fantastic experience: Hi, 3 years ago my fitness instructor was David Thomas. His professional knowledge and experience in fitness make hard work very easy for me. He was very easy to work with and I want to come back for more session. He help me with my cardio and overall fitness. And even he is no longer my instructor Im still going into gym and carry on ethos of the training he showed to me. Thanks Dave for good example and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: Dave is a fantastic personal trainer,I really struggled being over weight and going to a gym for the first time was so petrifying..but Dave has a great way of putting you at ease,he works through what your goals are and pushes you when you need it...but is ALWAYS full of encouragement. My life changed for the better after training with Dave I got my confidence back and felt much better about myself,I learned how to eat healthy and that if I put my mind to it I can really accomplish anything! Fantastic experience: David connected with me on LinkedIn early in 2019 and started training me shortly afterwards. After a few short months I have more definition in my arms and legs and am much stronger. He's an amazing trainer and very knowledgeable. When I return to the UK next summer I will be using him again. It got me motivated enough to work out regularly and for a 61 year old that's no mean feat! Thank you David!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommended! I teach, perform and have competed professionally in Pole & Aerial Fitness but after hitting a plateau in my training I needed that extra push to reach the next level, David has been brilliant at developing a personalized plan to help me further progress, achieve my goals, and complement my current training. PT sessions with him are always something to look forward to, tough but fun, and most importantly gets results! My strength and flexibility have vastly improved, which has been of great benefit to me in my pole and aerial work. Along with his nutritional advice and recommended changes to my diet, I feel more energized; I’ve lost body fat and increased muscle mass. Win win!

Fantastic experience: I first met with David in a coffee shop, to discuss what I wanted; I was very impressed by his knowledge and by his attitude towards me. He was completely understanding of my condition and my opinion, and was completely willing to tailor his entire course to me specific needs, something I haven't seen elsewhere. I had tried for years to lose weight (as a newly diagnosed diabetic), but nothing had worked and it's fair to say I was very depressed about the whole situation. Since starting David's course, I've now lost a stone in weight and my outlook has improved immeasurably. David's approach has not just changed my life, it's literally saved it. My diet has changed in ways I would never have thought to try, and the exercises David has shown me and helped me with are simple for me to do and greatly improve my attitude as I feel good for having had a workout. David's support has been the key to my change, and knowing he's been there for me all the time has been a bedrock for me. Fantastic experience: I worked with David for just over 6 months and I have gained a whole better attitude to my overall fitness and well-being. The sessions were always different and I had an element of achievement at the end that I had worked very hard. David is a true professional, always on time very knowledgeable and makes the pain of getting fit much better all round, and I would highly recommend David for anyone who is looking to improve their health. Fantastic experience: David has been providing excellent group sessions at my place of work for about 18 months. He is great at adapting exercises to suit everyone’s needs, fitness levels and per existing injuries or weaknesses. We all enjoy the sessions and they have made a real difference to us all. Recently I have asked David to provide fun fitness sessions for my family (my husband, myself and our 3 children aged 7, 10 and 12), so we could all workout together and enjoy it. These sessions have been excellent and once more David has adapted to each of our needs so it is a good workout for the adults and a fun way of keeping fit without even realising it for the kids. I would thoroughly recommend David, he is such a caring, gentle person but makes your body work hard every session.

Fantastic experience: I've been having regular PT sessions with David for the last few years and although I am not yet an Olympic athlete (ha!) I can definitely feel the strength, stamina and mindset improvements. David is a great trainer with a fab attitude who also has a deep understanding of nutrition. He has helped me with some knee issues and is always willing to adapt the programme to accommodate any issues I am having. We work together well and he knows how to get the most out of me in our sessions whilst keeping it fun and having a laugh!! I would highly recommend David as a personal trainer.

Fantastic experience: I had been with David Thomas from 2014 till 2016 and I highly recommend him to anyone who's interested in improving their fitness level in a safe and sustainable way. He is also a very friendly, understanding and easy person to work with, which are essential qualities in any personal trainer. Here's a brief history about my experience with David as my personal trainer. For about 9 years since I first started my higher studies again and then settling down into a new place and job, I had not been able to get active in any sports or exercises. Then In 2014, I decided to get physically active again and started joining some volleyball sessions in a local college. I was really disappointed by my lack of strength, mobility and fitness which prevented me from enjoying the game. Then I happened to meet David who was working in the nearby gym after one of those games. I asked him to train me so that I could jump higher during volleyball. That first PT session was the first of many to come which started me on my personal fitness journey. As my fitness gradually improved, I have also started to participate and have fun in many other new sports and physical activities. Having a more physically active lifestyle has also opened the doors to a healthier social life as well, and I have made many new friends as a result. The great thing about training under David is that he understands your strengths and weaknesses well, and can therefore create fitness programmes that are unique to you alone. Therefore you will always enjoy a great and fun workout session without worrying about the risk of injury.

Fantastic experience: I worked with David for over six months (come rain or shine) when I wanted to get back into shape after having twins. David helped me get my motivation back for exercise as well as making sure my body was being strengthened in the right areas post birth! It was great to get the support from him during the sessions as well as before and after - which helped me achieve the results I wanted. I always looked forward to our weekly sessions and always felt great afterwards (after the legs had recovered!!!!). Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been training with David now for almost a year. His professionalism and attention to detail is outstanding. His understanding of every aspect of training is second to none. He adjusts training depending on individual circumstances and has helped me more than once with minor strains and injuries. I suffered with balance issues following an operation 5 years ago, he has worked closely on this and practically reduced the symptoms to zero. I feel great and couldn't recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been training with David for nearly two years now with great results. Not only in terms of general core fitness but also specifics for the various sporting events we do including skiing, open water swimming, triathlons and trail running. Fantastic experience: In the time I have been working with David I have found his focus and attention to detail has been exceptional! At the same time he makes the training sessions very much fun and interesting' His ongoing support, patience and understanding, knowledge with healthy eating and exercise is equally excellent. Motivation also plays a huge part in my quest for health, fitness and weight loss and David is able to do this consistently well all the time in a very positive way.
